Jewish New Year cards

Here are all the finished cards,
I made with the papers from last night, that
I made with the gelli plate. You can see it HERE.

These cards are for the Jewish New Year that is
this year on 5/6 September 2013.if you want to know more
about what it is and the symbols here:

The numbers you see on the card  represent the new Jewish year.
Years are counted since the creation of the world, which is assumed to have taken place in the autumn of 3760 B.C.E. In that year, after less than a week belonging to AM 1, AM 2 started (AM = Anno Mundi = year of the world).

The Hebrew text you see on the cards says:
Shana Tova
This means "a good year" of as we say:
"Happy New Year"
It is a rubber stamps I  have for many years,
not sure were I got it.

The small bees on the card are
stamped with a Penny Black stamp.

The ticket and the numbers on this card
are made with Tim Holtz dies.

The apple stamp with new year wish can be found on a site with
lots of  other Jewish stamps called Zum Gali Gali

In the heart of the pomegranate are always a lot of pips
and here they are accantuated with red sticky gemstones
on this card.
And here are the last two cards. Hopefully you are inspired
to have fun with your gelli plate for any kind of project you are
thinking of.

Thanks for looking!

Have a creative day!

That is wonderful Hetty. But then again everything you do is wonderful.
I will try to make a few with my gelli plate using some of you ideas. Thanks for being an inspiration!

Het is een bijzondere fleurige serie geworden! Met die plate gaan die achtergronden wel heel snel en moet je goed doorwerken naderhand... Fijn weekend, Gerrina
