African influence

Today I share some cards with you,
that are a cobination of
Michael Strong's elephant stamp and
Club Scrap Aspen papers and stamps.

This background is one of the
cut-aparts from the Aspen kit
as well as the ribbon.

The elephants are embossed and colored with
iced spruce distress ink.

It is the easiest is you stamp the elephants on
a different piece of paper and cut them out
and color them before you glue them
to the finished background.
It is more difficult of you stamp the elephants on
the background and mask them with a post
it and then stamp the background and color.
Both ways are possible and leave to your
choise and ability of stamping techniques.

For the sun I punched a 1" circle
out of a seperate piece of paper. This I laid
on top of the background and sponged
some yellow and orange ink on the background.

Here another of my calendars.
If you missed the post on how
tomake them, please take a look HERE.

I added the elephants with foam tape for more
depth on the front here.

Have a creative day !
