Journal52 - 7: When I grow Up

Today I share with you a new page of my
Art Journal. For week 7 the promt is:
"When I grow up....."

Well,I always wanted to be a teacher
and I found this cute photo of myself
being the teacher to my brother and sister (twins).
I scanned the picture and cut it to size.
Then I took a white piece of cardstock
and mounted the photo on the cardstock.
With a photo border scissor I cut around the photo
and added some brown ink to give the picture
an even more vintage look (the picture is from 1959).
When I became a teacher ( I am a handicraft and textile craft
teacher, but also a normal day school teacher),there was no
digital board, only the old fashioned black board.
So I painted my page black and then took a Tim Holtz
alphabet stencil and white acrylic paint.
When this was dry i sprayed white linnen Dylusion
spray over the page.

I added some typical school handwriting with
a white gelpen and drew some fun pictures.

And this is the finished page:
Thanks for looking.

Have a creative day!
