Sunday Scrap Page: Rembandt

Today I share with you the

It is one of the fun techniques
from the Carpet Tape Chronicles
that is the technique of the month April
over at the Club Scrap Blog .

You find a video explaining the technique HERE.
Today I used this technique for a scrapbook page.
I started out by cutting 12"x 0.5" strips of paper.
I cutted a small strip of the carpet tape to hold the strips
down on my table while weaving.

I also have some smaller strips 2,5 "x 0.5"ready for the weaving.
I just used this decorated paper, but you can also use different
colored strips matching your project.
Here you see the strips are allwoven.
But when you pick it up, it will fall apart.

So I just turned it over and stuck carpet tape
all the way down. This way I can tape it to my page.
Now you can cut of the excessive strips to make it all straight,
but i liked it the way it was, so I did not cut them of.
Here you see the finished strip on the scrapbook page with
some Michael Strong tulips on top. I stamped them with
green and red ink (technique from the month March).
On the topof the page you find the journaling about the exhibition
my husband and me visited in Amsterdam.
You can read about it and see some video's here:
Even though it is quite busy, it is totally worthwhile
to go and see the painingsif you are in the neighberhood.

Don't forget to add your card or project to
the linky party if you want to win a prize.

Have a creative day!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful scrap page about your visit to the Rijksmuseum! I'd love to visit there some day! In the meantime I enjoy seeing it through your photos and stories! Also, thanks for sharing the basket weave tech. I have to buy some of that carpet tape. Looks like fun and creates a wonderful addition to paper crafts!!!
