Scrap that block

Today I have a scrap block to share.

While shopping I noticed this wooden block
and right away I had an idea, so I took it and paid
and went home. The block size is 8 x 8 inch.
 (20 x 20 cm).
I sanded the block, cover the word "happy" that I wanted to save
and took out the gesso to cover all of the block.
When the gesso was dry I took a stencil and
an acrylic paint dabber.Around the border I used the stencil.

In the middle i just left it white, because there was going
to be a picture, so no reason to paint it.

When covered all around I left it to dry.

Next another stencil and another color paint dabber.

Here you see the result and the paint daber I used:
broken china and tea dye.
Again i left the paint to dry.

Now i took one of the circle accent stamps by Michael Strong
and randomly stamped with dark brown ink.

After removing the paper note, this is what the block
looks like.

In the middleof the block I made this card like
scrap page with two colors of paper and
a stamped sentiment. Also again the circle, this time
embossed with oriental express embossing powder.

To completely finish of the decoration I added a tiny sticky
blue pearl in the middle of the circles all over the block.
I am so happy with the result. I think this can be a great
gift idea too.

Thank you for looking and have a great Sunday.
