Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to all my American Friends!

When looking for some inspiration I came
across these images:
so I knew I had to get out my new Tim Holtz coffee cup die
(that my friend brought me from the US, because it is not available her,
lucky me and thank you friend!)

Also I still had Tim Holtz June tag in my mind,
so go there to see his tag.

So I get to work and take my tag and
first used some burlap distress ink to color the tag direct to paper.

Then I made my own stencil, for I do not have any striped stencil.
With a blending tool and red ink I added
the stripes on the left side of the tag.

This is how it looks when i was done
and you can also see the stencil I made.

On top right some blue ink

and with picket fence white acrylig paint
and the star stencil I finished the background.

Does it look like the US flag, or what?!
Sometimes I do mind to cover
a good looking background, don't you?

Now for the coffee cup:
I cut it out of white paper and colored the borders
with distress ink coffee colored.
The cup holder is cut with dotted blue paper.
On top there is a dotted red rosette with a Michael Strong
star on top. The top of the cup is done the
same way as you can see on Tim Holtz Blog here.
The spoon for the bird I made myself in photoshop
and you are free to safe the template to your computer
for your own use.
Here you see the bird from Tim's Crazy birds stamp set.
It is colored red andd blue. For the spoon I  made
a tiny slit on top and under the wing to slip the spoon through.

To finish of the tag I colored a ribbon red, and blue,
leaving the middle white and made it into a bow on
top of the tag.

Hope you all have a GREAT day!
Thanks for looking.

Have a creative day!
