Sunday Scrap Page: Sinterklaas

Today i share a page with you about a Dutch tradition
called Sinterklaas. You can read about it here.
It is very much a children's happening
And now with the grandchildren it is very much a fact.
Sinterklaas has arrived from Spain with a boat in
The Netherlands and children all over put their shoe
out, sing special songs and the next morning find
some candy or a little present in their shoe.
Sinterklaas has helpers called "Piet". They come through
the chimney to deliver the presents, so that is why they
have these black spots on their faces. Children love
to dress up as Piet. So that is why I decided to color
Piet for my scrap page. The head of Piet is from a
children's color book and his color is made
with a Michael Strong stamp.
I used the Cloisonné Nonagon stamp. With versamark
and black embossing powder I stamped it on white
paper and colored all the images with watercolor.

With the head of Piet and the collar from the nonagon stamp
I made 3 figures (Owen and the twin) for the scrap page.
The boys look just too cute! Thanks to my DD for the
lovely pictures.
I also made this page for the color challlenge on
where you find all the information.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day.
