Nature Journal

Zo langzamerhand weten jullie wel dat ik een fan ben van Club Scrap. Bij mij komt de Scrap kit en ook daarin zit de laatste tijd een project. Deze maand was het een Nature Journal en dit is het resultaat. Het filmpje voor het maken van dit boekje staat bij Club Scrap in the cinema.

By know you know my love for Club Scrap. I get the scrap kit every month and for some time it also has a project included. This month it was a Nature Journal and this is the result. You can watch a tutorial video at the Club Scrap cinema.

Quilt kaart/Quilt card

Het maken van deze kaart is prima voor het opruimen van je restjes papier. Hieronder volgt een beschrijving.
Making this card is great for using up left overs of your background papers and scraps. Below you find out how to do this.
Wat heb je nodig: restjes papier, een vierkante pons, eventueel stempels, kaart papier, lijm of dubbelzijdig plakband en een grote vorm (ik gebruik de Bigz Top Note van Sizzix, maar je kunt ook heel goed nestabilities gebruiken).

What do you need: paper scraps, square punch, stamps if you like, cardstock, glue or double sided tape and a big shape (I used Bigz Top Note by Sizzix, but you can also use big size nestabilities).

We beginnen met het maken van de vierkantjes met je pons. Het is even bekijken hoeveel vierkanjes je nodig hebt voor de uiteindelijke vorm die je gekozen hebt.

We start with making squares with the punch. How many? That depends on the big form you chose to make.

Neem nu een appart stuk papier, dat ietsje groter is dan de vorm die je gaat uitsnijden. Lijm hierop alle vierkantjes.

Take a separate piece of paper, that is just a bid bigger than the form you are going to cut. Glue all the squares on this paper.

Leg het papier met de vierkantjes naar de vorm op je mal en snijdt deze met je cuttlebug og BigShot uit.

Lay your paper with the squares down on the form and cut this with your cuttlebug or your BigShot.

Hier zie je het resultaat en nu kun je het gebruiken om je kaart er mee te maken. Het is mooi om deze vorm nog een keer te matten (een bijpassende kleur eronder te plakken, zodat je een klein randje ziet). Hieronder nog twee voorbeelden.

This is the result after cutting and now you are ready to use it on a card. It is nice to mat this shape (take a piece of paper and glue it underneath the shape and cut it with an extra border). Below you see some more samples.

Halloween Greetings

Nogmaals een staande kaart. Uitleg over hoe je deze kaart maakt vind je HIER. Stempels zijn bijna allemaal van de oktober kit van Club Scrap "Natural Recourses". Alleen de vleermuizen zijn van Cherry Pie en de tekst Halloween van Stampin'Up!.
Het spinneweb op de achtergrond is gedaan met een embossingfolder. Eerst haal je een restje papier door de cuttlebug en dan smeer je er zwarte inkt op. Je draait het web naar je kaart en met een brayer rol je de inkt op de kaart. De kaart is verder met stazon zwart gestempelt en gesponst met distress inkt.
Here another standing up/ easel card. How to make this card you find HERE. Stamps are mainly from Club Scrap's October kit "Natural Recourses". Only the bats are from Cherry Pie and the Halloween text is from Stampin'Up!.
The spiderweb in the background is done with a cuttlebug embossing folder. Run a piece of cardstock and the spiderweb embossingfolder through the cuttlebug. Rub som black ink on the web and turn it over to the card. Take your brayer and roll it over the back so you transfer the web to the card. The stamps are stamped with black stazon and the background is sponges with distress ink.

Nog een verpakking/ Another wrapping

Hier nog een leuk soort tasje om snoep in te verpakken.

Here another nice bag to wrap your candy in. Wat heb je nodig: papier, nestabillities (scallop en circle), stempels naar keuze, stempelinkt, embossing poeder, lintje, lijm, schaar, pons voor de opening voor het lint (kan ook een cirkel zijn).

What do you need? Paper, nestabillities (scallop and circle), stamps of your choice, stamppad, embossing powder, ribbon, scissors, punch for hole for ribbon ( can also be a circle).

Dit moet je doen:

1. Gebruik je scallop nestabillity als hier boven. Laat een rechte kant aan de onderkant. 2x.

2. Gebruik de cirkel nestabillity om uit een bijpassend papier een cirkel te snijden. Je kunt dit nog matten met een zwarte cirkel.

3. Snij een rechthoekige strook van 7 x 21 cm. Vouw deze strook op 8 en 5 cm.

4. Stempel de cirkel stempel van Michael Strong met versamark en emboss met witte embossing poeder

5. Stempel je andere stempels met zwarte inkt. ik heb een heksje en tag van Stampin'Up! gebruikt.

This is what you do:

1. Use your scallop nestabillity as above (leave a straight site at the bottom). 2x.

2. Use your circle to cut a piece of fitting paper (can be matted on a piece of black).

3. Cut a rectagular piece of orange 2 3/4" x 8 1/4". Fold this at 3 " and 5 1/4".

4. Stamp Michael Strong circle with versamark and emboss with white embossing powder. Cut with scissor.

5, stamp your stamps with black ink. I used the witch and tag stamp by Stampin'Up!.

Kijk nu naar het plaatje om te zien hoe je alles bijelkaar moet plakken. Vergeet niet een gaatje te maken voor het lintje, dat het zakje bijelkaar houdt.

Assemble everything as you see on the picture. Don't forget to make a hole for the ribbon that holds the bag together.

Verpakking/ Wrapping

Heb dit al verschillende keren gezien. Zo leuk om snoep te verpakken voor feestjes, uitdelen op school, voor Halloween of St. Maarten. De beschrijving hiervoor vind je HIER. Nog een staande kaart/ Another standing card

Hier nog een staande kaart. Deze keer met papier en stempels van "Birds of a Feather" de septeber kit van Club Scrap. Het stencil voor de takken is van een oudere kit (Great Outdoors). Here another standing up card. This time I used papers and stamps from the "Birds of a Feather" September kit from Club Scrap. The branches are from a stencil from an older kit (Great Outdoors).

Staande kaart/ Stand up card

Vandaag een lesje. Een staande kaart. Je kunt hem in allerlei maten maken. Ik heb hier gekozen voor een paneel van 12,5 x 12,5 cm en een basisdeel van 12,5 x 25 cm. Wil je hem kleiner dan neem je bv. 10 x 10 cm, dan moet je een basisdeel van 10 x 20 cm snijden. Het basisdeel moet gevouwen worden. Eerst door de helft en dan de bovenkant nog een maal door de helft naar boven vouwen. Hierop wordt dan later het vierkante paneel geplakt. Geheel dicht gevouwen is het een vierkante kaart.

Op de kaart te kunnen laten staan, gebruik je een knoop of een andere leuk embellishment (iets wat dikker is dan papier), zodat de kaart hiertegenaan blijft staan.
Ik heb de kaart van een aantal kanten gefotografeerd, zodat ik hoop dat je begrijpt hoe het inelkaar zit. Jekunt deze kaart verder geheel naar eigen keuze versieren.

Ik heb stempels van Club Scrap, Stampin'Up! en Club Scrap gebruikt.

Today a lesson: a stand up card. You can make it easily in all kinds of sizes. I chose to make a

5" x 5" card. The front pannel is this size and the base is 5"x 10". If you want to make a smaller card, like 4"x 4", you need a base of 4"x 8". Start with folding the base card double and than you fold the frond size double again, but to the outside. On the small panel you end up glueing the square panel to finish the card. If you fold it all together it is a square card.

To make the card standing up, you need a button or another embellishment (thicker than paper)
to hold the card against to stand up. I have made pictures from all sides of the card, so I do hope you understand what I mean. You can decorate this card to your own desire.

Club Scrap Natural Resources

Ja, heerlijk als de nieuwe doos van Club Scrap er is. De nieuwe oktober kit is in prachtige warme herfst tinten en nodigt uit om er meteen mee aan de slag te gaan. Voor deze kaarten heb ik eerst een blad uit de tuin gehaald en deze op een stukje wit papier gelegd en eerst met een lichte endaarna en donkere kleur glimmer mist bespoten. Het Blad was zo mooi, dat ik het met de bespoten kant op een ander wit papier heb gedrukt en daarna met wat kleuren gespoten. De cirkels zijn van get Fizz stencil van Club Scrap. Daarna met de bijpassende unmounted stempels en zwarte stazon gestempels en nog met wat kleurpotlood de kleuren wat dieper gekleurd.
Het geheel verwerkt tot onderstaande kaarten.
It is always wonderful when my new pizza box from Club Scrap arrives. This month the kit is called Natural Resources Today I have played with my glimmer mist and my new Club Scrap October papers and stamps. This is what I did: I took a leave from my garden and laid it on top of a piece of white paper sprayed some glimmer mist (first some light and than a darker color). The leave was now a wonderful brown color and I laid it on another piece of white paper with the sparayed color to the paper and I pressed it down (this is the left card). I used my Fizz stencil to make the black spots (graphite glimmer mist) and some unmounted stamps with black stazon. I also used some color pencils to make the color even more intense.
They have become real fall cards.

Cloisonné Cameos

Michael Strong heeft een nieuwe stempel set: Cloisonné Cameos. Dit zijn ovale stempels met daarop de seizoenen. Goede combinatie met ovale pons.



Michael Strong has a new stamp set: Cloisonné Cameos. Wonderful oval stamps with the seasons on them. Great in combination with an oval punch.

Hierboven zie je een scrapkaart, die ik gemaakt heb met een foto die ik op mijn vakantie in Milwaukee heb genomen. Je ziet goed hoe de herfst de bladeren al aan het kleuren is. Naast Michael Strong zijn hefst cameo, heb ik papier en houten blokjes van de Memoirs kit van Club Scrap gebruikt.

Above you see a scrap card I made with a picture I took on my vacation in Milwaukee. It is good to see the leaves are turning to fall. Besides Michael Strongs fall cameo, I used paper and wooden tiles by Club Scrap (Memoirs kit).

Viva Las Vegas Stamps

Toen ik op vakantie in Amerika was en in Las Vegas was, moest ik natuurlijk op bezoek bij Wayne Gartley van Viva Las Vegastamps!. Een geweldige winkel waar je links en rechts niets anders dan stempels ziet en dus je ogen uit kijkt. Het is zooooooo moeilijk kiezen uit al die stempels. Heb een zak vol uitgekozen en ze zijn opgestuurd naar huis. ik wacht vol spanning tot ze hier aankomen om er mee te kunnen spelen. Deze winkel was het bezoek meer dan waard!
Terwijl ik stempels aan het uitzoeken was, heeft mijn man foto's gemaakt, neem HIER een kijkje.While on vacation in the United States and in Las Vegas, I just had to visit Wayene Gartley's Viva Las Vegastamp! shop. This is an awsome shop, left and right nothing but stamps, so your eyes just pop out while looking. It was soooooo hard to choose out of all these beautiful stamps. But I got a bag ful of my choice and it's been send home. now I am waiting anxiously for them to arrive and start using them. This shop was absolutely worthwhile to visit. While I was looking for stamps, my husband made some pictures. Take a look HERE.
