Irisvouwen/ Irisfolding

Vandaag weer eens even een oude vertouwde technique
Today I did one of my old and favourite techniques again: irisfolding.
Have you never tried, but want to do it?
Here is a lesson on my BLOG.
The pattern of this dress is not my own,
but I got it through my irisfolding group by Bergkaarten.
The background here is done with the cuttlebug and
the sentiment is done with the computer.
The star stamps are by Michael Strong.
The stars are embossed with silver embossing powder.

Have a creative day!

Konijn/ Rabbit

2011 is the year of the rabbit en so I looked around the internet
to see what I could make with this.
I found a real neat calendar (size 3,5x3,5x3,5 inch) and
you can download the pdf file HERE and make one yourself.

This is my version of the calendar and of course I added a little something
of myself here. I used the mini-flower by Michael Strong.
First I samped and embossed it in red on white paper
and added some gold metal rub-ons.
Next I stamped the flower twice on white shrink plastic,
cut it out, heated it with my heat gun.
I did not forget to make a hole in the middle for
the cute little brad with the pearl on top.
I finished it of with a ribbon around the neck of the
bunny with a tiny golden bell.

CCMC-132 schets/sketch

This card is made according a sketch from one
of my American stamping friends, Connie
and you can fiend her inspirational blog HERE.

I chose to use the hand stamp of Michael Strong.
It is embossed on decorated paper (also used for the background)
with white embossing powder and than cut out and attached
with foam tape to the background.
The background is parchment paper embossed in
the cuttlebug and attached to the background with
some white brads.

Here you can see the hand close-up (click on the photo).

Zeke Zorro the passionate Spanish lover and
Putt-Putt Hearts, which are a great accessory
to any or all of these images.

THE RULES

twist the Sketch, work the Sketch and submit the Sketch.
You are not required to use Bonibleaux Designs Digis
although it would make us really really happy and giggle a lot if you did!

MUST be a masculine themed card,
you can use humor, innuendo, be a little naughty, sarcastic,
but it has got to be for a DUDE!

Be sure to add your card to The Dude Time Dude Blog
and use the InLinkz to submit your creation.

Two winners and the Top Blog winner
will be announced on the Dude Time Doodles Blog on January 11th.

And now for my card:
for Easy Rider is My DH all time favourite movie
and gives him a feeling of freedom on the road
and a way of living.
The digital stamp is colored with copic markers and the background with disstress ink.
The tire tracks is a stamp by Club Scrap (Wheels&Sprockets kit).
The background is done with the cuttlebug
and if you want to see exactly how I did this,
I have a tutorial HERE.

I just couldn't resist making another card. There are so many neat images for Valentine cards!
Here is Zeke Zoro:

After printing Zoro I colored him with my copic markers and cut out the image.
The text is printed with the computer.
The papers are by Club Scrap (All that Jazz).
The big "Z"and the hearts are cut out  with my cricut.
On top of the hearts the smaller hearts have been
run through the cuttlebug with the swiss dot
embossing folder.

I am sure you got some Valentine inpiration now!
Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrap

Today I started with scrapping my pictures
from the turning of the year.
I used papers from  Club Scrap's Vogue kit and
so is the sentiment stamp.
The numbers of the year I did with my cricut.
The oval lettersare by Michael Strong
done with black embossing powder and a small
oval punch. Behind this text there is some hidden journaling.
Because of the ribbon you know
there is something behind the text.

This part of the scrap page is also great to use as a card.

Kalender/ Calendar

I just found some fun tutorial on the internet.
It is a perpetual calendar card.
Would you like to try it too? You find it HERE.

I used Club Scrap paper (All That Jazz) for the card.
The ladies are a stamp by I Brake for Stamps and
the big letters are by Michael Strong. The rest I did by computer.

Here you see some of the parts a little more close-up.
If you click on the pictures it gets even bigger.

Winter

I did show you a collage of pictures of the winterweather in The Netherlands, but I also had to make a scrap page. The paper from the December kit by Club Scrap "Vogue" was just perfect for winter pictures. The snowman and the alphabet stamps are by Michael Strong. The snowflake charm I found on the internet.

Kerstboom/Christmas Tree

Are you having a wonderful Christmas?
Need some craft to play with the children?
How about folding some Christmas trees......
You can add them to a card or have the children stick them on some white drawing paper
and make some nice drawings around the tree.

Supplies:
decorated paper
cardstock or white drawing paper
glue
maybe some stamps
crayons
scissors

Start with cutting some squares:
 3"'x3", 2 1/2"x 2 1/2", 2"x2" and 1,5"x 1,5" out of the decorated paper.

Fold them according the instructions above ( or when you
rather watch a video tutorial, I found you one HERE) and
you end up with 4 different size pieces like you see here:

Then you stack them from large to small
and stick them on a card.
Take a look at my cards for inspiration.

Stamps by Michael Strong.
