Creative Chemistry Day 4

Ok, so you can't have everything!
Todays lesson on Creative Chemistry 101
by Tim Holtz is all about reinkers.
I only have one: vintage photo.
So....what to do?!
Tag #1 coloring with reinkers...not possible with one only,
so I stamped my boat image by Crafty Individual
and colored it with the distress inkpads and a waterbrush.

The background of the tag is done in the spritz and flick technique.
Tag #2 was done with making your own spray
with reinkers. This I replaced by my collection of
glimmermists and I used my steampunk stencil.
I love the idea of a two layerd way of spraying.
(click on picture for larger version)
Tag #3 with making your own inkpad. I have looked
at all my bottles to see what  I could use and this is what I came
up with. Three bottles: brown, yellow and blue.
And see what you can do with only 3 colors. I think it came
out really well.

Thanks Tim for another day of great inspiration!
Have a creative day!

Creative Chemistry Day 3

Day 3 of Tim Holtz teachings at his
Creative Chemistry 101 classes.
Today we played with alcohol inks,
rubber stamps and embossing folder.
Here I my 3 tags of today.
left: alcohol background
middle: archival resist
right: embossingfolder
I did not have the embossingfolder tim used, only
this snowman, but it worked the same and now I have my first
xmas card and tag for this year!
Thanks Tim for your great instructions.
And on this wonderful day of spring I noticed the
grape hyacinth starting to bloom. Spring is having
a great start over here!

tags and I just did the same. nothing fancy. I love these backgrounds.

Spring 2012

Yes, spring is here and the sun is shining.
It does feel like spring and of course I had to make a card to go
with it today. I used this Spring subway art freebie
from Create with TLC. The image and the backround is
also by Create with TLC. My card was inspired by
the daffodils that I was seeing outside today.
The girl is colored with pencils
and the flowers
have been punched out and added to the stems with a brad.
The card is finished of with a yellow ribbon.
Hopefully from now on it is getting real nice weather
and we can sit outside and read a book with a nice cup of tea.
Have a creative day!

we took the Vagabond and the camera to a nice
spot for making pictures, so you can see
I enjoy my Vagabond in The Netherlands

 Or with a windmill?
More easy to see were we are!
In my hand up or down?
And how about the other cool suitcase?

GM #39

(click on picture for larger view)

Here is my contribution for  the challenge
over at Grungy Monday.
We had to use a technique from the 12 tags
of Christmas by Tim Holtz of 2007, Day 3.
You can find all about it HERE.

And there is a prize to win from

I wanted to make a St. Patrick's Day tag
with a clover background, so I searched if there
was a clover embossing folder, but no.

So I had to make my own. What do you need:
a punch ( this time a clover)
glue stick
left over paper
card board
Punch out a lot of clovers. Cut a piece of card board
card size (4,5 x 5,5 inch) and arrange the clovers
how you want them. It is best to layer two or three
on top of each other and glue on card board.

Use them in your embossing machine.
I use it in the cuttlebug with a B plate, double embossing foam and
another B plate to have good result.

(click on picture for larger view)

I was having such a good time making the tag,
that I made two out of the plaided paper I had made.
The subway art I used on the first tag is a freebie
you can find HERE and the sentiment on the second
tag is by Create with TLC.

Have a creative day!

How about this one?

Let me know if it is your birthday and I might

I used this fun set by Create with TLC
and you can find it here:
it is called:Rash of Irish Luck.

I colored the image with copic markers and added a
little glossy accent on the clovers.
The background is a piece of scrap paper
run through the cuttlebug with the senrays folder.
Tomorrow i have some more green inspiration for you!
Have a creative day!
