Michael Strong SUMMER blog hop and CANDY!!

welcome to the Michael Strong

Blog Hop!
Here is another inspirational blog hop
The theme of the blog hop is SUMMER.
Many of us make lots of colorful pictures in
the summer and thse are perfect for scrap cards
and embellish these cards with your stamps.

In this post I have 3 cards to share with you.

For the first card I used Mike's mini butterfly stamps
and  the metalic butterfly die that goes with it.
The reason is I noticed many people asked me
how these dies are used, so I have made a turorial for you.
 Mini Wings Metal Die Cutters

You need:
cardstock and parchment paper
versamark, gold embossing powder
heatgun
cuttlebug or other same sort machine
1. Start with stamping your stamp with versamark
on the parchment paper, sprinke gold embossingpowder
on top and use heat gun.
2. take cardstock and butterfly die
and make the right sandwich for
the cuttlebug.
3.Run the sandwich through the cuttlebug.
4. Take the butterfly out of the shape
and put aside for later.
What is left is a template you want to use.
5. Lay the template on top of your stamped
and emossed butterfly on parchment paper.
Take a pen to mark the dots next to the image.
6. Take the template of the parchment
and you see those marked dots.
7. Take your die again and put this on top
of the stamped image.
Make sure the dots are underneath
the circles of the die.
When you do not want the die to move
you can secure it with a piece of tape.
8. Make the sandwich and run everything
through your machine.
9. You should have a perfect cut butterfly
ready for use.
10.Fold the wings of the butterfly
on both sides.
11. Take a piece of double sided foam tape
and adhere this to the body of the
butterfly.
12. Take the cut out cardstock butterfly
and stick the parchment in its place.
Now it looks like there are real butterflies on your card.
Here a close u. The sentiment is by Club Scrap.
Now for the goodies!
I also have some blog candy for you.
The new hexagon stamp,
that is so wonderful for multiple use.
You can cut it and make all kinds
of wonderful decorations
with it on your card.
Today of course I share how
to make it into a sun with a lovely
embellisment in the middle.
If you become a follower of my blog.
take a tour around the blog hop
and leave comment everywhere
it can be YOU who will win this new
Michael Strong cloisonné Hexagon stamp!
Cloisonne Hexagon Rubber Stamp
For the inside I also used dies to make
the shapes next to the sentiment (Club Scrap)
This is the heart of the sun, click on the
photo and you see an even larger version.
And this is my card for Mike's Fun in the Sun
challenge on the Michael Strong Stampgroup.

To create the sun I used Mike's cloisonné circle
and leaves stamps. I embossed gold on gold paper.
In the heart of the sun I added a few gemstones.

Also I used the Alphabet stamps to create
summer fun outside and inside the card.

Dragonflies are also associated with summer
and I stamped one on the inside.
Well I think I have given you enough inspiration
and there is much more for you.

So please hop along all these other blogs
and leave some appreciation.

Have a creative day!
