Sunday Scrap page: Sinterklaas

Here in The Netherlands St. Nicolaas has arrived.

This is a celebration especially for children.

Yesterday he arrived on his boat in the harbour,

so parents and children went out to greet him.

Of course we took Owen into town, as we did last year.

It was a great happening, lots of people, music

and "pepernoten" (special candy).

And in the evening the children put a shoe in front

of the open fire (if you have one) ad sing a song

for St. Nicolaas and hope they will get a little present

in the morning.

The top border of my page is made with letters

from the Michael Strong alphabet stamps and

the nuts are symbolized by the little circle stamp.

The hat of St. Nicolaas is folded. I found on internet how to

do this. So here is the link for my Dutch friends.

Surprised: What is this?

What most bothered him was that the

horse had eaten the carrot he added in his shoe!

Well, we are going to hav a fun few weeks

with him until December 5th when St. Nicolaas

goes back home to Spain.
