This blogpost is a combination of 2 challenges.
and the Cupcake Inspiration Blog challenge.
I made two cards with differnt ways of using the masking tape.
With the first technique you add color to the card with the
masking tape. I took 3 colors of red/pink and put a
piece of masking tape on the ink pas.
Put the masking tape on the card and take it of again.
The masking tape leaves a pattern of color. Don't
press to hard on the masking tape or it will peal
of paper from the card too.
Then i took the heart stamps from the Club Scrap
Crewel & Unusual unmounted rubber and stamped
these with the same inks to create a background.
Here is the finished background.
For the next masking tape technique,
I used the tape to cover a part of the card
where I did not want any ink.
I colored with the same inks the part of card
that was not covered with the masking tape.
After coloring I stamped with the same inks a heart pattern
on the colored part, leaving the masking tape on.
After removing the masking tape I stamped the word love
and added the little cupcake. This is punched with the
cupcake builder from Stampin'Up!. The woodsie arrow
is from the Club Scrap Navigation kit and the little gemstone
heart is from my stash.
Thanks for looking
and have a lovely Valentine's Day!
Have a creative day!
