Art Neko napkin art on a card

Today it is my turn to post something on the
but as I cannot post too many pictures there,
so here more about the background of my card
with a paper napkin. This happens to be the
technique of the month on the Art Neko stampgroup.

i found this napkin in my stash and liked to use it for
a card. I am sure there will be more, for I have lots left over.

I cut a quarter from the napkin and peeled of
the top layer. The white piece you can throw out.

Next I glued the napkin on a white piece of paper.

When it was drie I took out an embossing
folder and ran it through my big shot.

Here is how it looked coming out of the
embossing folder.

I colored the raised parts with fossilized amber
distress ink and a blending tool.

For the center I used 2 stamps.
First I used the fossilized amber distress ink again
to stamp the text image on the background.
Next i stamped the Birds on a Blossom Branch in
black and added sticky gemstones in the heart
of the flower.

i finished of the card with a gold ribbon, no sentiment
yet, for this card can be used for any occasion.
I will add it when needed.

Thank you for looking and
have a creative day.

  3. What a wonderful card Hetty - I have never tried gluing a napkin onto card, just ironing it. To see it done like this and then embossed, is a wonderful variation, and the resulting card is stunning
