Sunday Scrap Page: Balance

As you have seen i had a yoga lesson this week
and with my new sentiments from Create with TLC
I came up with this new scrap page for my
weekly chronicles.

I used Club Scrap's Tribal kit papers to
make this page in combination also with Michael
Strongs Cloisonné Crane stamps.

For the top banner of the page I found some fun images
with google and made a whole row of yoga girls and
colored them with pencil. The sentiment at the end of the
banner, as well as as the sentiment on the picture
is by Create with TLC and you find it here.

The closisonné crane is stamped in ash
and colored around with a little topaz.
The text is printed with the computer.

I also used some DIY washi tape.
I did this before and you can see here
how you can do this too.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Saturday card: Giraffe

Welcome to
cloisonné giraffe stamp!

You can find the stamp HERE.
It is such an awesome stamp.

And ilove it when things come together.
I tried to clean my desk and just found the
perfect pieces of scrap paper to use for
this giraffe card.

The background to this card is a piece
of cardstock decorated with my gelli plate.
A gelliplate makes a lot of fun backgrounds in a jiffy!
You find all info about this here:

I took my giraffe stamp and stamped
\on the background with versamark
and embossed the image with black
embossing powder.

The leaves are embossed with green distress
embossing powder that goes wonderful with the background.
Finished of the card with a ribbon and taped
it all down to a yellow card.

Thanks for looking and soon more
giraffe cards.
Have a creative day!

Yoga

Photo: Yoga! #downwardfacingdog
Last Wednesday I attended a yoga lesson
outside on the grass in the sun at
It was wonderful!

So when I was surfing around I arrived
and noticed her new sentiments:
These were just perfect for my pictures!
Just had to buy them. For only $ 2,50
You find the set HERE.
I am going to have a lot of fun with these sentiments.

So I also used some other sentiments
tomake a thank you card for the teacher:

I googled free yoga cliparts and found this
neat girl in yoga position, just perfect for a card.

The image is colored with pencil and the flowers
are punched with the Petite Petals punch by SU!.

Printed the sentiment and added  it to the card.

Here another version:

I can see more cards coming!
Thanks for looking.
Have a creative day!

Altered Playing Cards

A fun way of making art is to alter.
Nearly everyone has a deck of playing cards
and this size of cards is somuch fun to use as a base
for art. My friend Claudine is going to do project
with these cards and you can play along and win prizes.

Have a look here:

and you can find much information about it on internet.
Here are some fun sampes I found online:

Club Scrap Cinema! Blog Hop

This is the  Club Scrap Cinema! collection
of August 2014. Did you get your pizzabox delivered?
So it is time to hop and see what fun project
you can use the papers and stamps for.

I hope you came over here
from the wonderful Tricia, who always has
such efficient ideas on her blog HERE.

I love this new kit, for my DH and I very often go to
the Cinema, just not always.
So sometimes we just have to do with a dvd.
As it was  his birthday this week I gave him
a dvd and of course had it nicely wrapped
and added some popcorn just for the fun
of having a great evening.

So now YOU want to know how I made this
dvd wrapper? Well, here come the instructions:
Take one of the 12x12 papers of your choice
and cut it two 2 pieces of 5,5 inch by 8,5 inch.
I love the one paper with the end, that I will be using for
the backside of the wrapper.
Score both papers at the bottom at 3/4 inch.

If you like you can round of the top corners
of the wrapper with a corner punch.
Decorated the wrapper to your taste
or just leave the papers as is.
This is the template for the pocket on the front of
the wrapper. Use a contrasting color and decorate.
I used the absolutely fun washi tape that was in the box
and the unmounted rubber stamps for decoration.
After stamping add adhesive tape on the outer part
of the pocket and glue to the wrapper.

At the bottom of the wrapper I made two slits on either
side of the fold to thread the organza ribbon for
closing the wrapper.

Here is the complete finished present all wrapped
up and the popcorn added in the pocket:

This is the backside of the wrapper.
Here I added a star and a filmstrip
with the use of some of the UM stamps

and a punch to make the filmstrip.

So what is a gift without a card?
If you do not have popcorn available, you
could use the front pocket for your card!
The card is made with one of the panels
that was left over after cutting the 12x12 paper.
Hope you like the dvd gift wrap idea.
You can use it for any theme dvd
and even decorate the paper accordingly.

Now for more ideas hop over to Kay,
who always comes up with the most fantastic
ideas. I can't wait to see what she has in store for
us this time HERE.

And if you loose your way,you can always go to
where you find the complete list of participants.

PS
I also have some Cinema! cards over at the
Technique Junkies Design Blog HERE

Thanks very much for stopping by
and have a creative day!

Sunday scrap page: Weather

Here we are again with a new page.
This time it is about the weather.
Not the nicest weather!
This page is made with a  vintage Club Scrap
retreat kit called "By the Number".
On the backround I used a stencil to make the rain.
The umbrella is made with the triangle stamp
by Michael Strong and lagoon and peridot
stamp ink by Club Scrap.

These cardboard letters are covered with the
lagoon ink and stamped on with the triangle stamp
in the same color.

Thanks for stopping by
and hope your weather is much better.

Creative greetings,
