Chinees nieuwjaar/ Chinese New Year

Vandaag is het jaar van het Konijn begonnen volgens de Chinese jaarindeling. Het konijn schijn veel geluk te brengen, dus ik hoop dat het voor jullie allemaal een gelukkig jaar zal worden.

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt n.a.v. een kaart die ik heb gezien op het blog van Michael Strong. Je vindt het HIER. Ik heb voor deze kaart de boompjes gemaakt met mijn cricut (Zoobaloo) rn de achtergrond stempel is de paisley stempel van Michael Strong geembossed in goud. De kleine bloemetjes zijn uitgeponst en vastgelijmd op de ondergrond. De chinese tekst vind je op het blog van Mike.

Today the Chinese year of the Rabbit has started. They say the rabbit brings lots of luck and happiness, so I hope this will be a very Happy New Year for all of you.

I made this card inspired on an entry on Michael Strong's blog. You can see it HERE.

For this card I cut out the little trees with my cricut (Zoobaloo) and the background is stamped with Michael Strong's paisley stamp and embossed in gold.

The little white flowers are punched out and glued to the background.

I think this Larry Lane  is so much fun to use and I found some perfect

sayings to go with it at Create with TLC.

Images are colored with copic markers.

On Sunday I always make a scrap page for the

Michael Strong Yahoogroup.

This is the page for today. Do you like |Michael Strong stamps and do you have some of these stamp yourself, than please come over and have a look at the group.

It is a group for sharing and getting more inspiration.

For this page I used the alphabet stamps and

the mini-flower. You can find the stamps HERE.

De bloemen zijn met verschillende kleuren embossing

poeder gedaan: goud, koper en rood.

The flowers have been embossed with multiple colors:

gold, copper and red.

Het woord is hier opgebouwd uit verschillende lagen.

Eerst zijn de letters gestempeld en embossed in goud.

Daarna uitgeponsd met een ovale pons en het witte papier met een

ovale scalloped pons. De rode vorm is gedaan met een van de

tag mallen van een tag set van nestabillities.

Alle papieren die je ziet zijn van Club Scrap.

The word friends is build up in layers.

At first the letters are stamped and embossed in gold.

Than I used an oval and an oval  scalloped punch.

The red die is from a tag set by nestabillities.

Bloemen/ Flowers

Eens  een hele andere challenge gedaan,

eentje met het thema BLOEMEN.

Je vindt hem op het blog van Crafty Catz.

This time a complete different challenge,

one with a theme: FLOWERS.

You will find it at the Crafty Catz blog.

De olifant is van Karen's Doodles en gekleurd met copic markers.

 De bloem is van Michael Strong en gekleurd door het

gebruik van verschillende keuren embossing poeder.

En de tekst is een digitale stempel van Create with TLC.

Op de achtergrond zie je zwart papier dat bewerkt is

met de Cling Pearl technique van de Technique Junkies

en toen bewerkt met de muziek embossing folder van Sizzix (Tim Holtz).

The elephant is by Karen's Doodles

and colored with copic markers.

The flower is by Michael Strong and colored with

multiple colors of embossing powder.

The sentiment is a digital image by Create with TLC.

On the background you see some black paper that is

 done in the Cling pearl technique by Technique Junkies

and then I used the musical Sizzix (Tim Holtz) embossing folder.

Hier zie je de binnenkant van de kaart, ook bewerkt

met de bloemenstempel van Michael Strong.

Here you see the inside of the card, where

I also stamped with the Michael Strong mini flower.

Hier de bloem nog eens van dichtbij. Je ziet hier goed

de verschillende kleuren embossing poeder die ik heb gebruikt.

Ook zie je hier het bloemetje dat ik in het midden heb gebruikt.

Het was eerst wit, maar ik heb er creme de rouge

Glimmer mist opgespoten.

Here the flower in a close up, so you can see all the

colors of the embossing powder I have used.

Also you see the flower I added in the middle.

 It was white at first, but I sprayed

it with creme de rouge Glimmer mist.

Ik heb me laten inspireren door de nieuwste techniek op

het blog van Michael Strong: Faux Mosaic en

de laatste techniek van de week die we hebben besproken

in de enjoymichaelstrongyahoogroup:

multicolor embossing techniek.

Je ziet dit toegepast bij de bloemen.

Ik heb zilver, baby pink and hot pink embossing poeder gebruikt.

For this card I used the mini flower and the mini bird

by Michael Strong. I was inspired by the latest technique

on Michael's  blog: Faux Mosaic and also

the latest technique we have learned

in the enjoymichaelstrongyahoogroup:

multicolor embossing technique.

You see this done on the flowers.

I used silver, baby pink and hot pink embossing powder.

Theme: Wedding/Valentine

Here we are with another circular blog hop

with Michael Strong stamps.

and here is some more inspiration for you.

Just couldn't resist making a card for each theme.

One for a wedding and one for Valentine.

But....

they are also the same card, just a different

color and a different sentiment.

Here is the wedding card:

I took out all my tools:

the heart is cut out with the cricut (Storybook)

the background is embossed through the cuttlebug

the sentiment is on a cut out die with a nestabillity

The stamps I used are the mini flower

and the mini bird embossed in white

on white paper.

The sentiment is printed with the computer.

For the Valentine card I did everything the same:

only in red and gold, instead

of white and gold.

For the sentiment I used Michael's word stamp and the

alphabet stamps.

As this is a blog hop there is some more inspiration

on Herma's blog.
