Time for another sketch Challenge

there is a new sketch challenge every week.
Iam not playing every week,but
today I do.

This is the sketch for a skinny card.
I made mine 3,5"x 5,5".

I used Club Scrap Tribal papers
and the sentiment is from my stash
of unindentified but great to use stamps.

The Club Scrapkit comes with cut aparts,
a sheet of 12 x 12 with all kinds of images,you
cut to use on cards or scrapbook pages.
I thought this one looks like a clock,so I added
the metal arms.
The back panel I decorated with a clock stencil
and an ash colored ink pad.
A more close up to the sentiment.
I finished the card with some tiny sticky pearls.

Thanks for looking!
and tomorrow

Have a creative day!

Club Scrap October card sketch

Here is my card for the
Club Scrap card sketch of October
that we play on the Club Scrap forum.

Here you see the sketch that we were given
and I came up with a fun coffee card.
Are you surprised? I guess not.
If you would like one of my coffee cards,
please leave a comment to this post and
on Friday Oct 30 I will pick a winner.

I made some close ups of the cards,so you
can see the embossing folders I have used.
The curly one on the banner looks a little
like coffee steam. The thanks is a die from the
Tim Holtz. collection.

On the background  you see a coffee splatter die
colored with Club Scrap Topaz ink.
The coffee cup and sentiment are from the old
Mocha Java kit and the papers are from Oriental Express.

Thank you for looking
and your wonderful comments.

Halloween inspiration

With Halloween around the corner,
here is some inspiration for you.
For this card I used:
subway art by Create with TLC (only $ 1.40)
papers from Club Scrap
leave embossing folder
Michael Strong pumpkin stamp
Michael Strong cat and bat die
sizzix leave die

Here the inside of the card.
Can't have any left overs!

With Halloween you also need some treat bags for the kids.
So I think this year I keep to an owl theme
and keepit easy for the many bags I am going to make
I usually make different bags,so they can choose.

If you wondering wat's inside the bag: they are a Dutch
treat called "pepernoten". You find the recipe HERE.

I cut some circles to make the eyes and the middle
part is a circle stamp by Michael Strong from the
A tiny gemstone for a bling in the eye.
The sentiment is by Create with TLC.

Hope you are inspired.

Club Scrap and Halloweeen

Each month there is a linky challenge
by one of the membersof the Artist Team.
This month Roni Johnson is the host
and she noticed Club Scrap has no real
Halloween kit,so the challenge is to
come up with some cards with  Club Scrap
materials from various kits.

So I used:
papers from Adobe,Dreamin color and Comics
stamps from Trees, Equestarian
the Halloween sentiment is fromTim Holtz
So card #1 is stamped with a tree
from The Trees UMstamps and
the moon is colored with ink with the
helpof a cut out circle. Bats
are cut out with a die and glitter gold on top.

For this card I cut out a pumpkin face
by hand and added this sentiment on
top, to go with the sentiment inside.
And here is the inside. All corners are cut
with a corner punch.

For the last card I used a spiderweb embossing folder
for the background. The spiders are cut aparts from the
kit as wellas the tag I used for the sentiment. The wiggle eyes
 are from my stash.

Hope you are inspired and will add your card to the linky party.

Thanks for looking!

Tim Holtz tag for October: Trick or Treat

Here my version of my tag for the
Tim Holtz challenge of the 12 tags.
You find the original tag and
all technique explanations on the
Here is my tag, not with the skull,
but with the crazy birds.I just love them.
For the background I used some of the Tim Holtz
embossing paper.I sanded it and the letters popped up.
The background taki colored around the edges with
black sooth ink and a blending tool.
For the birds I colored two pieces of manilla apaper with
purple and orange. Then I used it to stamp the birds on.
With the thinlits I cut out the birds. On the orange bird, purple wings
and on the purple bird came an orange wing.
The eyes are cut out of white paper and colored with a
yellow marker.
When I added the spider to the ribbon, I noticed
the spiderweb on the background. Just the right spot!

and each bird has a little treat bag
for the sweets.

The sentiment is fromSimple Sayings and stamped
on orange paper with black archivalink.

This is Tim's tag.

Thanks for looking.

Sunday Scrap page: Gone Fishin'

Happy Sunday!

I received these wonderful pictures of Owen fishing.
He desperately wanted a fishing rod,but mom and dad could not
find him the right one. So what did mom do?
She took a twig and tied some string to it.
They have water behind their house,so Owen went out to fish.

But waiting to catch one is rather long,
so I added a Michael Strong fish here!
The papers and sentiments are all by Club Scrap
Lakes kit. It was a perfect fit to these photo's.
I stamped and embossed the fishes on the vellum paper that
came with this kit.The eyes are little sticky gemstones.

Thank you for looking!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is the 7th Wedding Anniversary of my
DD Yael and SIL Frank.Of course I have to make them a card
and there has to be a Michael Strong heart on it!

Why you may ask: well, I made their wedding invitation
with Mike's heart and since then all their anniversary cards
had Mike's heart on it.

So this is the card I created A CAS card (clean and simple).
I used the heart on the place of the "o" in the word love.
They are all stamped and embossed in black and red embossing powder.
The sentiment is by Club Scrap.

Of course the inside is decorated as well.
The lines are drawn by hand.

If you clickon the picture,
you see a close up of this pannel.

Wishing Yael and Frank a wonderful day
and many more happy years together!

Have a creative day!

Ginko 3

3 more cards today and this will close my
ginko triptych with Club Scrap's
Transformations stamps.

 Card #7
For these last three cards I many used the stamp
with the branch with ginko leaves.
For this card I stamped the leaves with green and
a touch of brown direct to the stamp.
On top you see a butterfly cut out with a
Stampin'Up! die.

 Card #8
Brown, yellow and green  are the colors  used to stamp
this panel. A few gemstones, hemp  and a sentiment
and this card is ready.

 Card #9
For this panel I started out with the black leaves.
They are stamped with versamark and black
embossing powder. Next I stamped with brown.
Then I took some golden glimmer mist and sprayed
this on top of it all. it is a pity you cannot see how
beautiful this is.
