GC36 Resolutions

Deze tekst heb ik in een reclame blaadje gevonden. Is het niet een super geweldige tekst? Natuurlijk meteen ingescanned om te gebruiken en heb hem hierbij gevoegd zodat iedereen die dat wil hem ook kan gebruiken.
Deze kaart is gemaakt voor een challenge op Gingersnaps met het thema "voornemens" voor het nieuwe jaar. Nou, dat doe ik eigenlijk nooit, want je houdt je er toch niet aan, maar om me voor te nemen er een prachtig jaar van te maken leek me toch wel een goed idee! De grote stempel is van Zettiology en de bloem in de hoeken is van Club Scrap evenals het papier. Ik heb ook wat met een zwarte pen getekend en met een witte gel pen.

This card i made for a Gingersnap challange with the theme "resolutions". Well, I am not so good at resolutions, but I want to make the next year into a wonderful year. So I made this card with a big stamp by Zettiology and a flower by Club Scrap. I also did some drawing by hand with a marker and a white gel pen.

Memoirs Zipper Bag Brag Book

Vandaag heb ik dit boekje gemaakt, dat bestaat uit plastic zakjes! Het is een project van Club Scrap uit de juli kit (Memoirs). Hieronder vind je ook het filmpje met de duidelijke uitleg. Het boekje is 18,5 cm x 15,5 cm groot.

Today I made this booklet out of ziplock bags. It is a project by Club Scrap. It was in the Memoirs July kit. I have added the Club Scrap tutorial video for you. The seize of this booklet is 7 1/4 inch x 6 1/4 inch.

Club Scrap Ornamental

De december kit van Club Scrap heet Ornamental en is een prachtige combinatie van metalic groen, rood en creme. Op de Splitcoast stampers heb ik een leuk doosje gevonden en dat heb ik met papier van Club Scrap gemaakt. Hieronder vind je ook de instructie video, maar wil je alles ook nog even nalezen, kijk dan HIER.

The December kit of Club Scrap is called Ornamental and has papers in beautiful shades od metalic green, cream white and burgandy. On Splitcoaststampers I found a neat tutorial for a little box, that I made with these papers. I have added the video tutorial for you above, but if you want to read it all, you can go HERE.

Matrix kalender/ Matrix calendar

Soms heb je een oud project liggen (dit is van Club Scrap juli 2008), waar je steeds niets mee doet, tot je ineens een goed idee hebt. Dit stevige grijsboard is uitermate geschikt om een kalender voor het nieuwe jaar mee te maken. Het papier is van Club Scrap Matrix.

Sometimes you have a project lying around, that doesn't seem to get done until you have a bright idea. This had a wonderful heave cardboard, just right for a calendar I wanted to make. The paper is from Club Scrap Matrix - July 2008 and finally made into something useful.

Uitdaging/ Challenge

Onder invloed van het weer heb ik dit kaartje voor 2 uitdagingen gemaakt. De blauw/witte uitdaging bij de Wednesday Stamper en de schets bij het Techno Stampers Blog. Het meisje op de slee is van De Stempelwinkel en de tekst ie een oudje van Stampin Up! Achtergrond bewerkt met de cuttlebug.
Under the influence of the weather I made this card for 2 different challenges. The blue/white color challenge of the Wednesday Stamper and the sketch challenge on the Techno Stamper's Blog. The girl on the sledge is by De Stempelwinkel and the sentiment is an oldie by Stampin'Up!

GC35: Color Challenge - Purple, Gold & Green

Deze kaart is gemaakt voor een kleurenuitdaging op het blog van Gingersnaps Creations. Ik heb de nieuwste stempels gebruikt van Club Scrap: Ornamental. Gestempels met stazon black en ingekleurd met distress ink van Ranger. De tekst heb ik met de computer in geel op vellum geprint en er meteen wat goud embossing poeder op gedaan. Daarna verwarmd met de heat gun en dat lukt dus prima. This card is made for a color challange on another blog: Gingersnap Creations. For this I used the latest new stamps by Club Scrap: Ornamental. I stamped with Stazon black and colored with distress inks by Ranger. For the text I printed the sentiment in yellow on vellum and immediately sprinkled some gold embossing powder on it and heated it. And this works real well.

Laatste dag Chanoeka, / Last day of Chanukkah

Voor de laatste dag van Chanoeka ben ik nog even gaan kijken op het blog van Tim Holtz en heb me laten inspireren door tag #9, dat leek me de juiste voor vandaag. Ook al heb ik niet alle juiste spullen, dit is wat ik ervan heb gemaakt.

So for the last day of Chanukkah, I went back to the blog of Tim Holtz for some more inspiration and I found tag #9, just the right one. Even though I do not have all the right tools, I came up with this variation for Chanukkah.
Het filmstrip gedeelte heb ik gemaakt van een zwarte strip papier, waarbij ik aan de zijkant een randpons heb gebruik. Het ziet er behoorlijk echt uit zo. De foto's heb ik afgedrukt met mijn Picasa fotoprogramma (dat kun je HIER gratis downloaden) als contactvel. Met een kleine vierkante pons heb ik de foto's uitgeponst en op de zwarte strip geplakt.

The filmstrip was made with a piece of black paper and a border punch. It looks just like the real thing. For the pictures I used my Picasa photo program (it is free to download HERE) and printed the pictures contact size. I took a small square punch and punched out the pictures and glued them to the filmstrip.

De dreidl stempel is van Club Scrap. De muntjes heb je nodig om het dreidl spel te spelen. Het cijfer 8 is eigenlijk van hout, maar heb ik met een zilveren crackle verf bewerkt.

The dreidl stamp is by Club Scrap. And the money coins you need when you play the dreidl game.The 8 stands for the 8 days of Chanukkah and is made of wood. I added a silver crackle finish on top.

Chanoeka Dag 7/ Chanukkah Day 7

Op de 7e dag van Chanoeka heb ik een doosje voor je waarin je geld kan stoppen. Gelt - of gelt - is wat men traditioneel geeft met Chanoeka. Of het chocolade speelgeld waarmee de kinderen spelen
als ze een spelletje met de dreidl doen. Die zie je hier aan de buitenkant van het doosje op all vier de kanten.

On the 7th day of Chanukkah I hav a gift card box for you. You can also add real money - or gelt as we say - for this is what we traditional give at Chanukkah. Or the chocolate money children use when the play the dreidl game. You see the dreidl outside the box on all four sides.

Op de bovenkant van het doosje heb ik de zg. "herringbone" techniek gedaan. Je kunt hierover een video lesje kijken in de cinema van Club Scrap. Klik HIER.

Ik heb dit doosje niet bedacht, het is bedacht door een van de Club Scrap leden, Deb Weller. Ik heb HIER een patroon voor jullie gemaakt, zodat je het ook eens kan proberen.

I did not come up with this box, it was one of the Club Scrap members, Deb Weller. I made a template for you HERE, so you can try this too.

Op de top van het doosje heb ik een soort knopje gemaakt met kralen aan een ijzerdraadje. Samengevormd tot een cirkel, een paar slagen gedraaid en door het midden van het gaatje van de davidster eyelet naar beneden en dan als een splitpennetje uit elkaar.

On top of the box I made a little handle with a few beads on a piece of wire. Made them into a circle and turned the wire a few times. Than put it trough the middle whole of the david star eyelet
and split the wire like a brad.

Chanoeka Dag 6/ Chanukkah Day 6

Deze tag is mijn versie van tag #8 van Tim Holtz. Voor de muzieknoten op de achtergrond heb ik een plaatje gevonden op internet met een chanoeka liedje en dit heb ik op vellum geprint. De dreidl en de krul stempel zijn van Club Scrap en de menorah is van Posh Impressions.
This tag is a version of tag #8 my Tim Holtz. I have found a picture of a jewish hanukkah song on the internet and printed this on the vellum. The dreidl and the curly stamp are by Club Scrap and the menorah is by Posh Impressions.

Chanoeka Dag 5 lesje/ Chanukkah Day 5 tutorial

Op de 5e dag van Chanoeka heb ik een lesje gemaakt. Het is voor een collage kaart.
On the 5th day of Chanukkah I have a tutorial made for you. It is how to make this collage card. Wat heb je nodig? Stempels naar keuze (Ik gebruik hier stempels van Club Scrap: de Hanukkah set en de houten krul stempel van Ivory Elegance), verschillende kleuren distress inkt en een embossing inkt, gouden embossing poeder, je heat gun en wat sponsjes (ik gebruik gewone make up sponsjes van de Etos). O ja en natuurlijk papier om op te stempelen en een foto of plaatje, bv die leuke plaatjes die je nu gratis op kunt halen bij:

What do you need? Stamps of your choice ( I use Club Scrap stamps: the Hanukkah set and the woodmounted curl of ivory Elegance), different distress colors and an embossing inkpad, gold embossing powder, your yeatgun and some sponges (I use make up sponges). Oh and of course some paper to stamp and a photo or some nice pictures, like those you can download for free on: http://countdown.tentwostudios.com/

1. Eerst gaan we de collage achtergrond maken door met verschillende stempels en distress kleuren op je papier te stempelen. Ik gebruik redelijk glad papier, dat werkt hier fijn voor.

1. First we start by stamping the collage background with different stamps and distress colors on your paper. I use rather smooth paper, that works rather nice for this.

2. Om de achtergrond in te kleuren gebruik je een sponsje en kleur je eerst de rand met draaiende bewegingen. Wil je het niet al te donker laten worden, druk niet hard en ga niet te vaak over de kleur heen. Hoe meer je over elkaar heen gaat, hoe donkerder de kleur. Vul daarna het midden met een andere kleur.

2. To color the background you use the sponge. First color the border with a circular movement of the sponge. if you do not want it to be too dark, don't pressure to much on the sponge and don't go over the color again. If you do want it dark you apply several layers. Finish with another color in the middle.

3. Zorg ervoor dat alles goed droog is voor je door gaat met de volgende stamp. Eventueel met je heatgun verwarmen.

3. Make sure everything is realy dry before you move on with the next stemp. You can heat set it with your heatgun.

4. Stempel nu de krul met embossing inkt op je achtergrond, embossing poeder erover en verwarmen met je heat gun. Doe dit ook op het plaatje of de foto.

4. Stamp with empossing ink on your background, sprinkle embossing powder on top and heat with your heat gun. Repeat on picture or photo.

5. Nu is alles klaar om je kaart af te maken. Ik heb nog even de menorah op een apart papiertje gestempeld en uitgeknipt als extra decoratie. Hieronder zie je ook een kerstkaart met deze techniek.

5. Now you have everything ready to finish your card. I stamped the menorah on a seperate piece of paper and cut it out for some extra embellishment on the card. Below you also see a Christmas version of this technique.

Chanoeka Dag 4/ Chanukkah Day 4

Op de 4e dag van Chanoeka heb ik tag #12 van Tim Holtz gemaakt. De bloem van grungepapier was best even lastig. Daar ik niet dezelfde stans had en ook niet eentje die er op leek, heb ik zelf maar een patroontje gemaakt. Dat zie je hieronder en kan je ook gebruiken als je wil.
De menorah op de achtergrond is een stempel van Paula Best, de muzieknoten onbekend en de krul is van Club Scrap (Ivory Elegance).

On the 4th day of Chanukkah I have made tag #12 of Tim Holtz. The flower made out of grunge paper was not easy, but I had to do it. Because I did not have the same die as Tim used and no die that looked like it, I made my own pattern. Feel free to use it if you want.

The Monorah on the background is by Paula Best and the musical notes by unknown design and the curl is by Club Scrap (Ivory Elegance).

Alweer een tag voor Chanoeka. Ja die Tim blijft inspireren. Om te zien hoe je deze tag moet maken ga je naar tag #1 van het blog van Tim Holtz. Je ziet daar plaatje voor plaatje hoe je ook deze tag kan maken. Ik heb gebruik gemaakt van de Chanoeka stempels van Club Scrap.

Op de twwede dag van Chanoeka heb ik ook een tag van Tim Hotz gemaakt. Deze is geinspireerd op tag #11, maar met andere stempels. De bloemen zijn van Michael Strong en de mannen met de kaarsen zijn van Ruth Jewish Stamps (retired). Op de achtergrond zijn de stempels en de tekst van Club Scrap.

On the second day of Chanukkah I mad another tag like the one on the blog of Tim Holtz. It is tag #11 and of course I used some different stamps. The flowers are by Michael Strong and the male menorah is by Ruth Jewish Stamps (retired). In the background all stamps and text are by Club Scrap.
