Club Scrap Artist Team is travelling

This is the Club Scrap June kit: National Park
We were asked to create something that has to do
with traveling. As I have just been on holiday,
I have some great pictures frommy trip to Italy
and the colors of this kit fit perfectly.

What I love fromClub Scrapis their ALSB instructions.
You find them HERE.
This way it is easy to scrap your photo's.

As I have my mind on other things, like are the babies going
to be born when i need my projects to be finished, I kept it
fairly simple this time.

Also I needed to decorate my photo diary of my vacation.
The book was dark blue and i started out by putting
a layer of gesso on it.
Gesso is quickly dry and i could go on to
the next layer.
Next I took some distress acrylic paint. With a dabber
it is easy to color. I used tie dye.
For decoration I used the Adobe stencil and
the mahogany distress dabber.
Here is the finished front of my book.
The ribbons are frommy stash.

A close up on the decoration.

This was a quick and easy way to decorate my book.
This month I just don't have more time
for elaborate techniques.

If you want to see the first inside page of my book,

Sunday Scrap Page: Italy

The page for today is the opening page of my vacation diary.
Tomorrow you can see the front of my diary.

For this page I have used:
Clup Scrap National Parks June 2015 papers
Club Scrap Destinations July 2010 sentiment
Michael Strong circle, alphabet and mini bird stamp.
Tim Holtz Rays stencil
Chocolate Baroque Echoes of Italy stamp

For the sun and the rays, I used Fossilized Amber distress ink
(one of Tim's new colors). I used it with a blender tool
for the rays. For the sun I stamped it and embossed it with
clear embossing powder. For some extra shine I added a
few tiny sticky gemstones.

The mini bird is stamped and embossed with copper
embossing powder and cut out and added with foam tape.

The letters are stamped on green paper with white embossing powder
and cut out with a punch. This way  the Italian colorsof the flag
come alive in this page.

This sentiment is embossed with red embossing powder.
Now this is finished, i can go back to the inside of the book.
I am sure you wil see more soon.

Thanks for looking!
Have a creative day!

Saturday Sketch Card: photo card

Here another card with a photo my friend has send me.
Of course for today I looked for a sketch i could use
and I found it on the Retro Sketch Blog.

For the background I used some papers from my
scrap blocks.I cut the picture and the layer with
some photo spellbinder dies.

The shell is a stamp by Michael Strong and is first embossed it
with silver embossing powder. This stamp also has a matching die.
First cut the die out of a piece of scrap paper and lay this on top
of the stamped image. Mark the dotswith a pen.

Then lay the die on top of the image and make sure
the tine dots match the dots on the sides of the die.

The use your cutting machine and this is the result.

Here the inside of the card.

I added another shell and a plain one stamped with
Mike's paisley background stamp.

The sentiment on this card is digitaland printed
with the computer.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

I want to enter this card for
Cuttlebug Mania: use a sentiment
Cardz 4 Guyz: use a die or punch

Have a creative day!

Club Scrap National Parks Blog Hop

This month the Club Scrap kit is called
~ National Parks~
and I hope you came over here from
and enjoyed seeing her wonderful project for this hop.

Now you won't believe me saying this: but this kit
was not for me, no feeling with parks at all.
As you know paper has two sides and I do love
the colors of this kit  These colors are perfect for:
coffee cards!

so I got out my coffee stencil and stamps from
Wat's Brewing to make this card.
The background is layers made with the stencil
and the burlapthat came with this kit is a
perfect embellishment.

Also the colors of this kit are great for my Italy
pictures. I took the ALSB instructions and
used layout 13&14
You find these free instructions HERE.

As you turn the pages all of them have a plain color.
That makes a boring page,so out come the stencils!
With the adobe stencil and some acrylic paint
( antique linnen) I decorated the paper.

And for the kraft colored paper I used the stencil
fromCape Cod , ink and a blender tool.

If you loose your way along the hop,
you can always go back to the main page on the
Club Scrap Blog, where you find all
the links tothe blogs that participate.

Now for the next blog, you can see what
has come up with for you.

Happy Hopping!

Have a creative day!

Morning Coffee

While waiting for a friend to arrive
I decided to go into my craft room
for some cleaning up........
but then I noticed an unfinished tag
and some stamps and just could not resist myself!

So after an hour or say playing instead of cleaning,
this is the finished tag!

I had that tag lying on my table distressed with coffee
stains. So with Tim's star stencil and some red distress ink
I added some sparks to the background.

On the top of the tag I made this embellishment from shrink plastic.
It is a stamp from my stash, stamped with black ink on the shrink plastic
and cut out with a circle die. Made the hole before shrinking!

The sentiment is a stamp from the Club Scrap Mocha Java um stamps.
Stamped on white paper, distressed with tie die ink and cut.
Glued to the background and with a black marker added
the boxes around the words.

The bird is from the wonderful stamp set
Crazy Birds by Tim Holtz.
I stamped it twice. First on the tag to have the
little feet there and then on white paper
for coloring. I also used the Dot Fade stencel by Tim
on the bird to give it a little extra.
I colored the bird with distress markers, not direct to the paper,
but used the marker on my craft sheed, added a few drops
of water and used a pencil to color.
After cutting out the burd, I placed it with foam  tape
on the stamped bird on the tag.

The tree branch is a sizzix die from Tim and the leaves
are a small hand punch.

This coffee die is an old QuicKutz die called
coffee and tie and you can use it with the big shot too!
I decorated the cup with some Club Scrap stamps.

Now I want to enter this tag for these challenges:
Sweet Stampin': Bingo Board: Distress- Brown - Trees
Allsorts: Use a stamp
Fantasy Stampers: Favourite color:coffee color!
