Caffeinated Christmas Challenge July 24: Stars

Hello my caffeinated crafty friends!

This month I knew quickly what to make for the

The theme this month is STARS.

This is my finished card with an image from
JessicaLynnOriginals - it is Brentwood!
He always appears when there is a Coffeelovers
blog hop.

For my card I used the new Distress SPRITZ
Tim Holtz just brought out. These have a wonderful
glimmer. I made the background with a star stencil.
I also used it on the image and some gold
(fossilized amber) on the sentiment.
It is a pity you cannot really see it.

Here a close up! I cut out  some stars and added
those on Brentwood and the cup on top of the hearts
which were in the original digital stamp.

Thank you for looking and have a
wonderful caffeinated creative day!

Caffinated Christmas Challenge July: STARS

Hello Caffinated Crafty Friends!

It is a very hot day in The Netherlands today, so to keep cool I sit in my craftroom with the airconditioner on making Christmas cards! The challenge this month is to add stars. You find the original post HERE.

For my card I used Tim Holtz stamps:

I used thecoffee mug from the  mini bluepint 9 CMS235.
I stamped it for the background and wmbossed it in white.
Colored the background next with Distress Oxide Ink Mowed Lawn.
The embossing powder resists the ink. I stamped one seprately and
colored it with distress ink and a water pen. The star is from the
mini blueprints 2 CMS146 and the square and sentiment is
from the new Note Quotes CMS463.
The Season Greetings is from Great Outdoors CMS321.
Small star punch for the stars on the cups.

I liked making this background so much,
that I was inspired to make my4th of July card likewise.
On the stars I added some Nuvo glitter drops.

Thank you very much for looking
and hope you have a wonderful Caffinated Summer!

Hello Caffinated Crafty Friends,

Today is the start of  a new month and a new challenge #7 on the
If you hop over to the main blog you will see more inspiration
and it is also the place where you can link your own card
for an opportunity to win a prize at Twiddler's Nook.
I have been asked to be a guest designer for this month
and today I share with you my card with the new star
theme for this month.
I started out with making the background with
a star ad dotted stencil by Tim Holtz. I used texture pase
and tumbled glass distress ink.

The images on my card are dies by Tim Holtz,
but the sentiment is a stamp by Verve Stamps (not
available anymore unfortunately).

Tim's dies are from: Café Colorize and Santa's Helper.
The stars on the cup I did with a white signo pen.

Papers are also Tim's Christmas paper block.

Fisishing off the card with a few sticky white pearls.

Hope you all enjoy a great Summer and still
plan and enjoy to make a Christmas coffee card.

Wishing you all a wonderful
caffinated and creative day!

Simon Says: Stars

This card is for the Star Challenge on the

You find all the details HERE.

For my card I used the large and small
rubber star stamp by Michael Strong.
I started stamping the background with
walnut stain distress oxide ink. I also sprayed some
white ink on it, but that is not very visable on the photo.

The large star is embossed in gold on kraft paper
and cut out with scissors. Next a circle die cut
and the star glued on top.
The sentiment is a Tim Holtz sticker.

Thank you very much for looking
and have a creative day!

The snowman and the sentiment are rubber stamps
and the background is a stencil and I used
weathered wood distress oxide ink.

I stamped the snowman on a seperate piece of white
cardstock, colored the image with watercolor zig
markers and then used a star thinlit to cut the
snowman. The words snowman fell of and I added
this on the left side.

the result:

{Cupcake Inspiration} challenge 413

Today I was inspired by the delicious image

I found this dotted paper in my stash and
just loved cutting it
and stacking it with the choclate brown colored
paper. I think the die cut birthday sentiments was
enough to finish the card. I just added a fun party hat

amnd put some icing on the sentiment (glossy accent).

Now  I had some dotted paper left and did not
want to trow it away, so I used it to make this fun
spinner card for my grandson's graduation
to the next class after the Summer vacation.

Yes, he is my little star!
I am hosting a spinner card challenge on the
Club Scrap blog, so that is how I just
had to make another spinner card.

I love the idea to have the sentiment spinning also!
The star is a rubber stamp by Michael Strong
and the sentiment is made with the computer.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Sunday scrap page: #1 movie

In the middle of the night (between Sunday and Monday) for
us here in Europ the Oscars will be held.I will be sleeping
and see all the fun in the morning. Meanwhile I have made a
movie themed scrap page with various Club Scrap kits
and some Michael Strong stamps.

I used some cut aparts from the movie themed kit
and the alphabet and number stamps from Michael Strong.

The woodsie on the movie real was in the Club Scrap
February kit. I made this movie real with a die from Sizzix.
The red circles are cut with a spellbinder die and the gold
embossed stars are stamps by Michael Strong.

I wish all off you who are watching lots of fun
at the Oscars.
Have a creative day!
