Sunday Scrap page: Father's Day

Of course I have a  page

for Father's Day and I fitted it

with this weeks theme 

of the Weekly Chronicles at

the Club Scrap forum.

The theme is "Recipe"

and for this recipe you just need

1 wonderful baby

to have a Happy Father!

Here you see my SIL with 

baby Owen one year ago and 

now. I think he is the perfect

ingredient for a Happy Father

and he says so on his t-shirt!

I used Club Scrap Cape Cod papers and 

Michael Strong's Cloisonné Paisley 

background stamp.

I stamped it with versamark watermark ink

and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Then I used a blending tool to

add some red and blue ink.

I used fired brick and salty ocean

distress ink by Ranger.

With Father's Day around the corner

I made my sketch card

for this occasion.

The sketch is from the Technostamper's Blog.

Paper is from Club Scrap

and stamps from

Michael Strong (alphabet stamps)

and Tim Holtz (Time Travelers)

Spelbinder oval die

and Tim Holtz movers & shapers

(Pointed Finger)

Viva decor dark brow pearl pen

The letters are embossed with

oriental express embossing powder

and the dots are done with a dark

brown pearl pen.

You see those dots alo on the background

of the card in the right hand top corner.

Here a close up of the letters.

They are punched out with a

3/4" x 1 1/2" oval hand punch

from EK Succes.

Vaderdag 2011/ Father's Day

Natuurlijk op vaderdag een scrap pagina

met vader erop. Deze pagina is vader en

dochter bij de oude auto's van laatst.

Het papier is van Club Scrap (Cruisin'en Welcome)

evenals de lintjes en de embellishments.

De "Dad" stempels zijn de alphabet stempels van'

Michael Strong

en de radartjes zijn gedaan met de sizzix die

 gadget gears van Tim Holtz Alterations.

Het idee van het frame komt van de nieuwste CD van

de Technique Junkies, de Stampbooking CD

en alle info hierover vind je HIER.

Of course a Father's Day lay out is made today

 of Father and daughter. The picture was taken

 on an old car show the other week here in town.

Papers are from Club Scrap (Crusin' and Welcome)

as well as the embellishments and the ribbons.

The "Dad" stamps are the alphabet stamps by

Michael Strong and the

Gadget Gear is a sizzix die from the

Alterations serie by Tim Holtz.

Hambo Hoedown sketch challenge 19

Dit weekend heb ik toch aan een heel antal challenges mee gedaan.

Ook weer eens leuk om allerlei nieuwe blogs te kijken.

Vandaag ben ik terecht gekomen bij

 Hambo Hoedown

en daar vond ik een schets uitdaging.

Hiervoor von ik  bij een een freebie

van deze leuke Cool Cat, waardoor ik op

die grappige tekst voor vaderdag ben gekomen en

heb deze met de computer gemaakt.

Het plaatje is ingekleurd met copic markers.

De achtergrond op de kaart - het water - heb

ik gestempeld met de Texturizing stempels van

Michael Strong evenals het zonnetje ( accent stempels).

Over the weekend I have been looking at different blogs and playing

the challenges I found there. This time I found the

 Hambo Hoedown Blog

and found this sketch challenge.

I downloaded their free Cool Cat stamp and came up with this card.

The cat is colored with copic markers. The background -

the water - is stamped with Texturizing stamps by Michael Strong

as is the sun ( cloisonné accent stamps) embossed in gold.

The sentiment I printed with my computer.

Vaderdag/ Father's Day

Vandaag deze pagina gemaakt met het juni papier van Club Scrap. Raymond stond mijn auto te wassen op vaderdag, lief he. Natuurlijk snel een foto gemaakt. De paisley stempels aann de onderkant zijn van Michael Strong.

Today I made this page with the June paper by Club Scrap. Raymond was cleaning my car on Father's Day, isn't he sweet! I just had to make a picture. The paisley stamps at the bottom of the page are by Michael Strong.

Vanuit de boot wens ik alle vaders een gezellige vaderdag. Stempels zijn van I brake for stamps.
Ik heb de volgende stempels gebruikt: Smooching Al and Betty Lou en het Vaderdag Sheet. Op deze manier hoef je niet eindeloos te zoeken. From my boat I wish all fathers a Happy Father's Day! Stamps on the card are by I brake for stamps. I used the following stamps: Smooching Al and Betty Lou
and the Father's Day sheet. This way you do not have to search.

Credit kaart mapje/ Credit card holder

Dit mapje is gevouwen en gemaakt om er een cadeau credit kaartje in te kunnen doen. Het is zowel voor Vader- als Moederdag geschikt, maar ook als je gewoon een cadeau wil geven. Je maakt het van een papier uit je printer, of je neemt een leuk papier dat je op die maat maakt.
Laat je kind het geheel versieren. Behalve het vouwpatroon, heb ik ook een filmpje gemaakt over het vouwen. Ik hoop dat het helpt.

Klik met je rechtermuis knop om het plaatje naar je computer te halen en te printen.

Click with your right button on your mouse to save the picture to your computer and print it.

This folder is made to insert a present of a credit card. It can be made for Father's Day of Mother's Day, but also for a birthday present. You need a piece of paper out of your printer (or cut some decorated paper to that size). Let your child decorate it. You see the folding template above, but I also made a video about the folding. I hope it helps.

Vaderdag/ Father's Day

Omdat vaderdag er nu eenmaal is, heb ik toch een kaartje voor hem gemaakt, ook al is hij er niet meer. Dank zij Ank, kan ik met hem blijven stempelen en zo leeft hij in ieder geval in mijn werk door. De kaart is ontstaan na een schets die ik zag op 2 Sketches 4 You.
Hij is dus gemaakt met een stempel van Stampinback, papier van Club Scrap (Mocca Java), brads van Making Memories en de letters zijn gedaan met grungeboard van Tim Holtz. Because there is Father's Day, I made a card for my dad, even though he is not alive anymore. I was lucky my friend Ank made me a stamp from a picture from my dad, so he can live on trough my work. This card was inspired by the sketch I found on 2 Sketches 4 You.
I used a stamp from Stampinback, papers from Club Scrap and brads by Making Memories.

Voor vaderdag/ For Fathers'Day

Vorig jaar heb ik voor vaderdag een shirt gevouwen (links) en wil je dat ook doen, kijk dan bij Cambria voor de vouwinstructie. Maar wil je liever een shirt maken in de irisvouwtechniek (rechts) en heb je dat nog nooit gedaan? Dan kun je HIER klikken voor de vouwinstructie

Heb je al een idee voor een kaartje voor vaderdag? Nee? Nou, ik zag eenkaartje gemaakt door Ann Clack van de Technique Junkies en vond het zo leuk, dat ik haar de instrukties voor het vouwsel vroeg en er ook eentje hebt gemaakt! Je hoeft toch niet altijd het wiel uit te vinden.
