Critters in Cups

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am having fun with my new stamps and dies from

Funky Fossil Design.

I worked with the Critters in Cups clear stamp set

and the matching Layering Cup dies.

As you see the neighbourhood cat likes the card too!

For my card I stamped the background with the tea bag and coffee 

beans stamps from the Crittes in Cups set and colored them

with distress oxide inks. Also did some spattering on the background.

The Cup is decorated with the flower stamp from the set.

Fun bit of flower power.

Beautiful Peony

 Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I share with you a card I made,

that is inspired by a sudden discovery in my garden:

This beautiful yellow and pink peony was hiding

 in a corner of my garden.

As I live here for 2 Springs now, it must have been here last year too,

but I just did not see it. This peony bush is behind a tree and as you

can see from my hand behind the flower, it is a very large flower.

Because of this they hang underneath the leaves.

On facebook I shared some pictures and got so many comments,

especially about  the color. Yes, this is so special.

I have some red peonies too, but these are not open yet.

For my card I used a flower stamp from Stampin'Up! called

Blended Bloom. The sentiment (congratulations in Dutch)

is a clear stamp from my stash.

The friends background stamp i think is from SU!, but I am not sure.

Stencil it

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today i have made a card for the challenge on

the Wednesday challenge blog of Simon Says Stamp.

The challenge is to use stencils.

I sart with creating the background with two stencils:

Tim Holtz Gothic THS 026

and the stencil that belongs to  Wendy Vecchi's Let's Shop.

The distress ocide inks are Tim's latest new colors

Kitch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina.

The ribbon on the card is sprayed white ribbon with the 

same colors of distress oxide spray.

On the finished card I used flower die cuts by Karin Joan.

They match the colors and tones of my card.

Treat Yourself

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today my new inks from Tim Holtz arrived and

 a new stamp set from Wendy Vecchi, so I had to play!!

So for this card I used:

Tim Holtz Salvaged Patina (super new color!!)

Wendy Vecchi Let´s Shop stamp, die and stencil set

Thinlits set Crochet 664178

Thinlits set Funky Foliage 663087

So this set by Wendy Vecchi came with 

stamps, dies and a stencil.

I started by cutting out that cute purse abd decorated

it with the dots stencil. Of course I used the  new

Salvaged Patina distress oxide ink.

For the background I cut this lacy border

to give it a real feminine touch. I used the 

cut out as a template and then I glued it

to the the background. Again with the

new Salvage Patina color. 

To finish the card I added a flower decoration to the bag

 and inside there is a coffee gift card.

Of course it needed a coffee cup (decorated with

the stencil). You know my addiction ;-)

Funky Fossil Designs stamp reveal day 2

Welcome to the 2nd day of the stamp reveal of

Funky Fossil Designs.

Today´s set is called  `Lotus Reflections`

designed by Elena Lux

and will be available at the end of this week.

For the background of this card I used the 

Happy Birthday stencil, that is free 

with every order this month.

The lotus leave I cut by hand.

The flower is stamped on pink design paper

and embossed in gold.

For card #2 I  started making the background qith

the Bubbles stencil and broken china distress oxide ink.

Next I used  the lotus stamp in versifine black ink.

The lotus flower is stamped on pale yellow paper

and embossed in gold. After cutting out, the flowers

are added with foam tape to the background.

Bugaboo Digital Stamps: Tuesday New Release

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today there is a wonderful new sentiment on the

Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.

On the blog you fins more inspiration made

by the Design Team.

Here is my card:

Don't ask me how I made the background.

I found it in my stash and was perfect for this card.

As Iam packing my craft room I find all kinds of half

finished papers, that i try to use these weeks to make

finished cards.

A ribbon and a paper flower was all it needed to finish the card.

FMS #446

Today I play with a skinny card (the new rage everywhere)

for the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

My card is made with stencil and stamps from

Funky Fossil Design.

I used the tulip field stencil

and the Bees Knees clear stamp set.

I made the background with 2 colors

of oxide distress ink:

 picked raspberry and twisted citron.

With post-it notes I coverd the stencil

 so no ink would come in wrong places.

The fungus are stamped and colored with 

markers. The bees are stamped on 

a separate piece of paper, colored with markers,

cut out with scissors and added to the card

with foam tape.

For the HEROES

My mother is staying in a care home and I haven't

been able to visit her for many weeks. I do go there

every Friday  to bring the clean laundry and pick up the dirty laundry.

Each week I add some gifts for the caretakers and for my mom

and of course it is always accompanied by one of my cards.

This week I found a perfect freebie by Jillian Vance Design.

It comes as a pdf file and ready for printing.

In no time I made 5 cards by printing the images on

white and nurse green paper.

This is a big square card of 6 x 6 inch and the background

paper you see on all the cards is Stampin´Up! Valentine

design paper`lots of hearts! I cut out the green shirt and a white sentiment.

Ribbon around the background paper and a rose and one card is done.

Here a sideway card, red cross with sentiment and 

red ribbon and more hearts.

For these cards I added a Dutch sentiment: "Bedankt"

(Thank you!)

And here is my last card with 2 white heart pearls

next to the sentiment.

Today is Friday, so the cards are delivered

and THANK YOU  to all the HEROES who take care of

the sick and the lonely in whatever capacity!

Spring is here!

Today I have been playing with my rubber stamps by Club Scrap.

The set is called In Bloom (April 2019).

Along the road here I see all the crocusses bloom

and the colors inspired me for the cards.

So here I show you how the cards were made:

Picking the same colors as on the picture,

purple, yellow and green. On the paper I embossed

the crocus stamp in white (hard to see now).

On my craft sheet I added the ink colors 

and sprayed some water on it.

Here are two papersafter I added the 

colors from the craft sheet. On the left 

you see the paper where I added the white

embossed image. It works as a resist.

The right paper is just colored,

ready for stamping.

Here the crocus stamp I used 

and black ink for stamping.

This is the card with the white embossed

crocusses in the background.

Simon Says Stamp: Stencil Fun!

Today I made a card for the new challenge this week

on the Simon Says Monday Blog.

The theme this week is: Stencil Fun.

These are the attributes for my card:

a stencil

distress oxide ink and applicators

digital images by Create with TLC

I started creating the background of the card

with the knitting stencil by Stampin'Up!,

walnut stain and fossilized amber distress oxide ink.

I printed the image (a page with knitting instruction)

and decorated this also with the stencil.

The sentiment is printed and  punched out.

For decoration I knitted a tiny piece with

embroidery thread and used toothpicks on the

card as needles. The knittingwork is added

on the card with foam tape. I also added a lovely 

flower as decoration on top of the sentiment.
