March Tag: Faux Mosaic

Here is my March tag for the 12 tag  challenge

Every month he shares a tutorial
and we can link our tag to his blog.
Many variations of the same theme,
this is so inspirational.

This month it is a faux mosaic theme.
I changed the butterflies into birds.
Made my tag more of a spring theme.

Here you can see what I have used to make
this tag. Stamps, birdcage sizzix die, sunray small
embossing folder, Key lime pie glimmer mist, distress ink,
tool, stain and blending tool. Inside the nest is added
a little raffia and on the metal flowers a green gemstone.
I also enter this card for the Faux Technique challenge on the

Cowboys

Over at Gingersnap Creations is a challenge
for making cards with  a "cowboy" theme
and Technique Junkies are sponsering
so here are some of my creations, using
the Faux leather technique.
This technique can be found on the
"Emboss or Die" special CD.
For this card I found a picture on the
internet and the tag and all the other papers
are by Club Scrap.

The inside text i made with the computer.
I found this free font on www.dafont.com
an is called cottonwood.

The cowboy theme is great for male cards. This is one
with a rodeo poster I got of the internet.
Printed out the sentiments and some stars
as an extra touch.
Hope you are inspired to add your card to the challenge and
win some TJ goodies.

Have a creative day!

Botanical

GCSP2: CASE a CAS

On the Gingersnap Creations Blog there are all kinds of challenges going on. I chose here to do the challenge of casing an Ali Manning card. She did some cards in the theme: Let the paper shine and here is my contribution. I used some silver and mother of pearl paper. The background is done with the cuttlebug and the paisley stamp is by Michael Strong and the sentiment by Club Scrap.

GC36 Resolutions

This text I found in an advertisement. Isn't it a great text? I scanned it right away for future use and I added it here for you if you want to use it too.
This card i made for a Gingersnap challange with the theme "resolutions". Well, I am not so good at resolutions, but I want to make the next year into a wonderful year. So I made this card with a big stamp by Zettiology and a flower by Club Scrap. I also did some drawing by hand with a marker and a white gel pen.

GC35: Color Challenge - Purple, Gold & Green

This card is made for a color challange on another blog: Gingersnap Creations. For this I used the latest new stamps by Club Scrap: Ornamental. I stamped with Stazon black and colored with distress inks by Ranger. For the text I printed the sentiment in yellow on vellum and immediately sprinkled some gold embossing powder on it and heated it. And this works real well.
