Cards for the Jewish New Year

This year I have started quite early making my cards for
Rosh Hashana - the Jewish New Year. It starts on the eve
of September 29. ut than again, I am ready to send them out!

It happened, because I found this great stampset in the new
Stampin'Up! catalogue, called Slice of Happines.
You might say: isn't the apple always a symbol on Jewish New Year cards?
Yes, it is, but so is the pomegranate. This fruit is used on the 2nd evening
to say the special blessing for something new.

I also found this wonderful stencil on FunkyFossil Designs.
It worked perfect for the backgrounds I created.
The background is made with the direct to paper method
and after dried I used the stars of the stencil on it.
The sentiment is from an old SU! set called Mazel Tov.

Here you also see the scrols in the background and
those come from an other set called L'Chayim.

I hope you get some inspiration for your own cards.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Bugaboo Christmas in July 4

Here is my card for day 4 of the

Today it is a bingo challenge
and now that my card is finished I notice
I made a cross on the bingo:
Ribbon and bow - Bugaboo image - die cut
Patterned paper - Bugaboo image - pearls

The bugaboo image I used is:
(remember all stamps this week are half prize)

Also this is the movie theme and you won't believe it,
but I seen a lot of  xmas movies, but this one I misssed,
so I watched the trailer and now it is on my xmas list!
I colored the image with stampin'blends and
cut the image with a circle die.
The background in green with a matching scallop die.
Made it look like a bauble in a tree and added
tree little sticky pearls.

I found this matching sentiment on the internet by
googling for Elf movie quotes.

The design paper is from my stash and I used
the cut off part to decorate the inside of the card.

and have a creative day!

Bugaboo Christmas in July 3

The challenge for today on the
is to make Anything But a Card.
For this I mada a goody bag:

Those who follow my blog know I love to make
coffee things and today ...as Santa is Coming to Town,
I make him a goodie bag.
I used a real paper bag and decorated it with
this cute Poppi Xmas Cocoa image
(and don't forget the images are half prize now!).

I colored the image with SU! Stampin'Blends
and cut the image with a circle day and matching
scallop die for the red paper.

I used some scraps to make the background banner
and a gold clip to attach it to the bag and this way
the bag is also closed.
The paper flowers are attached to the colored image
with yellow brads.

The sentiment is by Create with TLC.
