Purple Day: Epilepsy Awareness Blog Hop

Today is a worldwide day that asks for awarness for 

EPILEPSY.

Please take a moment and read.

Purple Day is a global grassroots event formed with the intention to increase worldwide awareness of epilepsy, and to dispel common myths and fears of this neurological disorder.

Further intentions of this movement are to reduce the social stigmascommonly endured by many individuals afflicted with the condition; to provide assurance and advocacy to those living with epilepsy that they are not alone in their ongoing endurance; and to initiate individuals living with the condition to take action in their communities to achieve these aims.

The day occurs annually on March 26.

The Daily Marker day 19: Fab Friday Sketch

I found this lovely sjetch to make a card for today.

You find it this week at the 

Fab Friday Blog HERE.

This is the finished card 

and a matching envelope.

The background is made with a stencil by Tim Holtz:

Thatched THS104.

I used the Tim Holtz mini crazy cats and

dogs rubber stamps.

I used my distress oxides to color the image.

Just swipe some ink on your carft sheet 

and a few drops of water. With a water brush

you can add the color to the image.

The paws, the sentiment and the doily are by 

Stampin'Up! The sentiment is from an old set

called Here, Kitty Kitty.

And of couse it is another coloring day for 

The Daily Marker coloring Challenge.

As today is Groundhog's day, i looked

online for a coloring image and found

this cute image on a teacher's site.

Oh, you have no idea what is Groundhog's Day?

Well, I had to look it up too and found it HERE.

The image was a little different, but I left out some thing

and used this for my card to pint for coloring.

So here is the start of my coloring that

I shared on instagram.

For the background of this card I used the direct to

paper technique with ground expresso oxide distress ink.

Next I used the speckles stencil by Tim Holtz

and the same ink.  The sun behind the groundhog

is a die cut.

Here I am again with another project for the

Coloring

Today I have been coloring in the garden

with my foot up on the chair.

Not the best pictures, but my photobooth is

upstairs and that's just not an option now.

I have some new images that I downloaded

Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge: Bouquet

Hello!

Here we are with anothe Club Scrap Artist Team challenge.

This month all of us received a sheet of unmounted rubber stamps

to play with:

and enjoyed seeing her projects. 

A few weeks ago I played in a color challenge. As I am not

very good in coloring, I came across this fun and easy technique

that I want to share with you. Works great with these beautiful

flower stamps. One can have never enough flower cards, for

they are great for any occasion.

1. Start with coloring your panel with a color ink.

I used Club Scrap lagoon.

2. Pick a stamp and start covering your panel fully

with this stamp. Do not stamp full inkted, but stamp

it off on a piece of paper befor you stamp on the panel.

3. A second time use the stamp fully inkted on the panel.

Cover all of the panel.

4. Dry the panel after stamping, maybe use a emboss budy.

Now you stamp the flower with versamark and emboss

the flower with white embossing powder. Stamp as

many flowers as you want. I stamped a horizontal line of flowers.

5. Now the flower is colored with a blue aquarel pencil.

Color heavy around the lines and next take a waterbrush

to fully color the flower.

6.  Stamp the flower on a piece of post-it and

cut it out with scissors.

7. Cover the embossed and colored flower with the cut

out post-it note. 

8. Take a flower stamp with a stem and with black

ink you stamp this over the flower.

9. After stamping it looks like this. Remove

the post-it note and put it on the next flower and repeat.

10. And this is how it looks after all the flowers have

a stem. Now it is time to finish of the card.

Here a version in red (fuchsia ink) and red pencil.

And a version in sandstone ink and yellow pencil.
