Somthing Fishy

I love playing the progressive challenge with

This is my card for the Challenge.

For the background I started with adding some
inkt to my craft sheet± 2 colors of blue and one green.
I sprayed some water in the ink.

The I swiped a piece of paper to the craft sheet
and this is the result.

The next step is a stencil (funkyfossildesign.co.uk),
ink and an applicator.

The result of using the stencil.

After coloring the fish image with stampin'blends,
I added a wobble spring behind the fish and the result
you see the result.

Simon Says: Midsummer Blues

Here is my card for the Midsummer Blues challenge
on the Simon Says Blog.
There is lots of swimming in the Summer in
the sea and pools, that inspired me to make this card.

You find all the details of the challenge on the

I started the card by printing the sentiment on the paper.
I had no right sentiment, so this was the solution.

Then I used the Tim Holtz stencils to make the background.
The dark blue circles are cut with SU! dies
and the fish is a stamp by Michael Strong.

Create with TLC Vintage Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the
I hope you arrived here from
and see what awesome art she made.
If you happen to loose your way,
you can always go back to the Create with TLC Blog,
where you find all 14 paricipants.
You don't want to miss any blog,
for on all blogs you can find FREEBIE images.

Now let's show you what I came up with:
When i started making mycards, I had a slight
printer problem.....everything came out sepia!
Needed to order new color refills, but that took time,
so as this is a Vintage Summer hop, I thought it
was just a fun coincidence and I decided to use them
for my cards.
This card is build up in layers. I was thinking
of the old fashioned photograpers, where one
poses for a picture and then it is behind
a cut out shape.
Here is the colored image for you to grab and make your own
cards with. Just click with your right mouse button
and save it to your computer.
I cut out the shape from kraft colored cardstock
and embossed it with a wavy shape, that I colored
with vintage photo distress ink. The sentiment is also from
Create with TLC and you find it as another freebie below.
So I decorated the card with paper flowers, a ribbon
and some cut out shells. I colored the shells with
glitter glue.

For my second card I wanted a little more color and
for this I  used a few stencils and distress oxides inks.
The sun is a die and the sentiment is one I found in my
Create with TLC sentiment folder and perfect for this card.
At the bottom of the card some raffia is tied around
and a flower added. Love the powder pink color for
vintage cards.

Yeah!! my cartidges arrived yesterday and now I can print the
Summer image in color. I decided to make some ATC's with it.
So I printed the image small size (that is the advantage of
digital images, you can use them anysize!)

This is card 1:
atc's are 3,5x2,5 inch, so it is small
even though you do not see this on the picture.
The sentiment is another oldie from
Create with TLC, the seahorse is by

For card 2 I used the shell stamp by
Michael Strong and added cute little
sticky pearls. I cut up the sentiment
for a more decorative look.

Here - on card 3 - I used the complete sentiment.
Blue baker's twine because of the sea
and the fish stamp from Michael Strong
is stamped on shrinky dink, so now it
is small enough for the atc.

Well enough ideas I think for you to use the
great image and sentiments from Create with TLC.

Not enough? Go to
and see what she has come up with
and what freebies she has for you.

Art Neko: koi

This card is made with an Art Neko rubber stamp
called Koi Pond and can be found here.

I made the card for the Oriental Stamp Art group
where the technique of the month is Faux Stitching.

I stamped this with a kaleidacolor Desert Heat.
This is a multi color inkpad.
Next I used a ruler with holes (from Tim Holtz) and a
craft pick pen all around the image. With a black marker
I went from hole to hole to make the faux stitching.

Next i stamped the sentiment in black on the right top corner,
glued the panel to black paper and then onto the deep red card.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day.

Sunday Scrap page: Gone Fishin'

Happy Sunday!

I received these wonderful pictures of Owen fishing.
He desperately wanted a fishing rod,but mom and dad could not
find him the right one. So what did mom do?
She took a twig and tied some string to it.
They have water behind their house,so Owen went out to fish.

But waiting to catch one is rather long,
so I added a Michael Strong fish here!
The papers and sentiments are all by Club Scrap
Lakes kit. It was a perfect fit to these photo's.
I stamped and embossed the fishes on the vellum paper that
came with this kit.The eyes are little sticky gemstones.

Thank you for looking!

Have a creative day!
