Color Throwdown 540

Today I was inspired by the colors of the Color Throwdown Blog
to make my card with a printed image.

Here you see the colors: yellow, orange, green and blue.
So I printed this:
It is a free printable from a Facebook group I belong too:
Next I took out these four colors of Distress oxide sprays
and sprayed them on the printed image.
When completely dried it looked like this.
I also sprays some water on top to make the colors
a little lighter.
With a few Stampin' Blends for coloring I added
some extra color here and there.
And this is the finished 4 x 5,5 inch card front and back
with a ribbon tied in the middle.
I stamped the birthday sentiment with some clear stamps
from my stash. This way I could see clearly where to add my
sentiment. I also added some blig with sticky gemstones.
And here an extra look on the backside.

Thanks Paulette for this wonderful printable.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

King Day

Today it is "Kingday"in The Netherlands and even
google knows about it. We celebrate the birthday of
our King Willem-Alexander.
It is a free day and all around the country there are
celebrations, flee markets and musical festivals.
With our national flag we have a special orange pennant,
that points to a celebration in the Royal Home.
The Roals are from The House of Orange, that is why
today everything is colored orange, even the flowers:
Our beautiful azalea is starting to bloom today!
So this gave me the idea to make some orange colored cards.
Here are the two cards I made.
I used a Stampin'Up! set called Just Because.

The background to my card is made with my
favorite technique: dirict to paper technique.
Add some colors to the craft sheet and add some
water. Now take the paper and get the color
on your paper by putting the paper to the craft sheet.

Here the finished cards with the
stamped image added to the orange background.

The image is colored with SU! blending pens
and splattered with a little orange ink.

The sentiment is from another SU! set called
Hello Cupcake.

Here you see the other card, with another
ribbon and image. These plants are so
versetile and easy to color. For some bling
I added little sticky gemstones to both cards.

Happy Earth Day

Looking after the planet is more and more important these days,
so I try to teach my grandson a little about it. We have planted
seeds to grow our own tomatoes this year.
I hope we will see them grow and eat them!

Of course here is a card too:

I used this sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog.

I made the background with the direct to paper technique
and two colors of distress oxide ink.

The earth stamp is by Stamp Fransisco (a very old
wooden stamp from my stash). The leaves are thinlits
from Sizzix (Tim Holtz)  Wildflower stems #2.
I used some green/blue glitter paper for the leaves.

Caffinated Easter

I also want to wish all my coffee friends a very happy
and caffinated Easter with this fun treatbag topper.
I found these wonderful eggs in the shop.
It is white chocolate on the outside with a cappucino filling!
I made the sentiment with the computer
and printed it on white paper.

Feel free to grab the sentiment by saving it with the
right mouse button to your own computer.

I sprayed a piece of white paper with a variety
of distress oxide spray and stamped the cups and
the eggs on top of it.

With some extra ink I added a litte dark color to the image.

Also a coffee bean stencil is used for the background.
Here you see the finished topper.
The egg is by Michel Strong, and the cup by Studio Light.

And this is the back of the topper where you can add your wish.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative Easter!

Happy Easter

to all my (crafty) friends!
Hope you all have a wonderful celebration.

For my card I used a sentiment by Create with TLC,
rubber stamps by Michael Strong
and an egg embossing folder.

The background pannel is sprays with these colors of
distress oxide ink and after it dried I used an egg
embossing folder. To be honest, you see it better
in person.

The sentiment is punched out with an SU! shaped punch.

On the Michael Strong egg stamp (embossed with orient
express embossing powder and colored with vintage photo distress
oxide ink) you can see some lines where to cut to open up
the egg. Inside are some little chicks...a twin!

Thank you so much for looking
and have a creative Easter!

Easter Eggs

Chocolate and Easter bunnies go together
and are a wonderful gift for friends around Easter time.
I made this cute bag topper with Michael Strong stamps
and a Create with TLC sentiment.

Here a close up on the bag topper:
I started with spraying a piece of paper
with the new distress oxide spray.
The Sentiment by Create with TLC is printed
with the computer.

The chick and the easter egg stamp are stamps
by Michael Strong. The egg is embossed
with orient express embossing powder and colored
with distress ink fossilized amber and a waterbrush.

The chick is colored with the same color ink.

Wishing you de delicious Easter!

Zum Gali Gali rubber stamps.
The sentiment is by Stampin'Up!

The leaves behind the seider plate are made with
a thinlit from a set of flower dies by Tim Holtz
(Sizzix) from the set Wildflower stems #2 .
You also see some shiny sequins in the background.
