Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge: August

CCCC32

Hello my caffeinated friends,

Here is my card for the August challenge on the
Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge Blog

The theme is: Coffee and Cute Critters.

I treated myself to some new Penny Black stamps:
Brew-Tea-Ful set and
Overflowing

The cat and the sentiment are stamps i already have
for a very long time.

The stamp of the cat is a cat in the box.
So I stamped and embossed the cat and cut it out
after coloring. He is so comfy on the cup!

I embossed the sentiment in gold, really pretty on the card,
but hard to photograph.
I just love these new cups!

All the images are colored with the Tim Holtz distress crayons.

Thank you for looking and hope you
have a lovely and caffeinated day.

CTS #383

Here the sketch from the
that i used for my card today.

I made a card for someone who loves frogs.
I have these cute stamps from Penny Black
already for years, but you can always use them.

I colored the frog with Stampin'Blends.
The flowers are from my stash and I added the cute tiny button
with waxed floss.

The sentiment is from a Strampin'Up! set from last year:
Beautifully Braided.
Finishing off the card with a heart gemstone for
some extra bling.

Thank you for looking,
stay safe and
keep crafting!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers: Day 6

Hello fellow Coffeelovers!

As i move on with creating some order in my chaos,
I came across a sweet image, that I am going to use for my
day 6 card of the

This is a wooden rubber stamp by Penny Black colored
with watercolor and the cup is a little die I had lying around,
not knowing from which set it belongs too.

The sentiment is by The Cat's Pajamas Paper Arts.
On the blog they have a wonderful freebie for the coffee hop.
This sentiment i have already for a very long time!

The paper in the background is from de Spring catalogue
from Stampin'Up!

Thank you for looking,
stay safe, enjoy your coffee
and keep crafting!

Cards and Walk

In this crisis of covid19, I have time to clean my
craft room. I realize how many backgrounds I have
lying around  and how many unfinished images,
and I just could not throw them away!

So I had an idea: I make them all into cards and
when I do my walk for the day, I put those cards
in the letterboxes around my neighberhood.
At least people will look at it, maybe have a smile
and than throwit away of keep it a few days.
You never know.
So I got to work and added a little Dutch poem
inside:
"when normal things
are suddenly not so normal
you realize how special
normal things are"
On the envelope and on the card I added the
word "zomaar" which meand something like
"just for fun" or  "no reason".
Not sure exactly how to translate.

So here are some of the cards I made.
No special technique, just add the paper
I had and an image (colored with stampin'blends)
and the sentiment.
Of course some had to be coffee themed.

I made over 150 and had fun dropping them around
the neighberhood.

Hope you all stay safe and healthy
and thanks for looking.
Be creative!

Simon Says: black & white plus one other color

There is one on Monday and one on Wednesday.
I love the do them, they are always so much fun.

For today's Wednesday Challenge it is black and white
and add one other color.
As I was clearing my craftroom I noticed my Penny Black rubber stamps.
I did not use them long time, so foir this challenge I got them out
(and you will see more of them). Once I started coloring i had two
fun cards in a jiffy!

For this card I used Whiskers & Fur 2883J.
The background to this stamp is made with
an embossing folder impressed in black paper
and colored with white ink.
The image is colored with Stampin'blends in differend
shades of blue. The birthday sentiment is from my
stash ( I think it is SU! but I am not sure).
The ribbon is crinkled handpainted ribbon from
DL.ART

Here is the other version with a lighter background.
I thouched the embossed background with
tumbled glass oxide distress inks.

It is day 17 on the
Love it when I can combine challenges.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Card Captain day 1: Art with a heart

This week you will see a lot of Michael Strong stamps on my
cards, for I am card captain on the Enjoy Michael Strong group.
This means I will share 5 cards for inspiration. One card a
day until Friday.

I will try to make some simple cards you all can  case
with any stamp and not to much materials.

For this card you start making the red stripe
by using two post-it notes and leaving a
2 inch gap.

With candied apple oxide distress ink I colored the
2 inch gap between the post-it notes.

Before removing the post-it notes I added
a couple of drops of water.

Dab the drops with a paper towel.

The sentiment (by Penny Black) is added on
the strip with my misty, to make sure it is on straight.

With Mike's mini heart stamp embossed
with gold embossing powder the card is finished.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!
