Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 7

Welcome coffee loving crafty friends,

Have you seen all the wonderful artwork at

For my card today I used 

Honey Bee Perfect Blend clear  stamp set

and Newton's Nook Slothy Coffee.

I started out by stamping the word coffee

with versamark and used clear embossing powder.

After spraying the pannel with Kitch Flamingo distress spray

(one of my favorites these days!) and using a piece of paper towel

to rub the words clean, I got this beautiful background.

The cute little beans from the same set are stamped in brown distress oxide ink.

As for the slothy, he is colored with Stampin'Blends

and cut out by hand. I found this lovely metal clock

in one of my drawers waiting to be used!

Coffee and Cards with Celeste and Deb

Today I share cards I made, because some of my coffee

friends asked me to play along with them by use this moodboard

and come up with a coffee and a tea card.

Most of you know my love for coffee, so I found this great

Coffeeloving Cardmakers group and matching 

Facebook Group. A lot of coffee inspiration.

In this group I started a 

monthly coffeecardlist and this is how I met Celeste and Deb, 

who also share cards on their blogs with this moodboard.

Isn't this a sweet anbd tasty moodboard?!

It inspired me for a coffee and tea card.

I  started with this coffee card using Michael Strong's

coffee cup stamps, Club Scrap coffee rings and 

Verve Stamps sentiment and coffee beans. 

The cups are embossed with 

pink and baby blue embossing powder.

And here is the inside of the card with another

sentiment by Verve Stamps.

This is my tea card. For this card I used 

metal dies for the cups, pot and macaroons

and sentiment by Verve Stamps.

Here is the fist look on the closed card.

And this is how the open card look.

I used a piece of cardstock of 8,5 x 5,5 inch.

I folded it double for the card and then folded

half of the front outward. This way you get a z-fold card.

I used various design papers matching the colors of

the moodboard for decorating the different 

panels of the card.

Cutting the teapot from blue and pink paper and

decorating with the pink butterflies from Verve Stamps

and adding paper flowers with a brad for decoration.

Underneat I cut a label like a teabag and adding

a Verve Stamps sentiment. With a piece of

cotton the label is fastned to the teapot.

Inside I also made a panel for writing

that I decorated with a pink and blue spoon

that was also cut out by a metal die.

I found this wonderful teaset dies on 

Aliexress here.

The inside panet is build on design paper

and a white paper doily. Cups cut out of

design paper and the steam is from the Michael

Strong coffee set stamped first bedore adding the

decorated cups. The macaroons are dies from 

a Marianne Creatble set. I used a white gel pen

for the center and after adding the sprinkles on top

I used glossy accent.

Club Scrap August kit: Lagoon

Each month starts for me with a new digital kit

from Club Scrap. This month the theme is Lagoon.

If you are interrested in these digital images, go HERE.

The whote kit, as seen above, is only $ 4,95.

The paper kit takes another week to arrive.

My first card card was inspired by the 

challenge I noticed on the

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge blog

with a beachy theme.

So I printed a few of the digital images on heave

250 grams paper and took some other papers from various

kits. I cut into the seaweed to make the fish swim through.

The sentiment is also printed and cut with an oval punch.

I printed the seastars in various sizes and in the center

I added a golden metal dot from a previous Club Scrap

kit. I added the seastars with foam tape.

Now the mermaid tail is covered with glossy accent

to make it really shine and before letting it

dry I added tiny golden pearls to give the tail

amore shiny and fishy effect.

Love grows here

I just had to make this box for my husband.

It was perfect to fill with chocolate hearts.

The best thing is that this box is a freebie from

Club Scrap

and you find it here.

When you have downloaded the file, you can

print it on cardstock and follow the instructions

to make one of your own.

This is my version: a little bit different.

I added the checkered part on the inside of the

box and did some stamping on the sides.

All around te pieces of paper I used a blending tool

to color the sides with ruby red ink.

In my stash I found some perfect heart stickers

for the top of the box.

And not only did I make a love jar for my daughters

of course I made one for my husband!

The idea cam from the blog of

Tim Holz and the mini mason jars.

I used baby food jars of which I have plenty.

The rop collage part is a card with a message for my

love inside. 

Love is a ticket from Tim's collection

as well as the filmstrip (Ray loves to watch

movies and go to the cinema) and the

metal sentiment embellishments.

The coffee cups (obvious) and the chocolate

donut are stickers and the flower, button and key

are from my stash.

The wooden letters on the jar are also

from tim's collection and are glued together

with glossy accent. The ribbon is colored

with candied apple and the metal embellishment

is a steering wheel with 14 stamped inside,

Saturday Sketch Card: FMS273: seahorse

Today my sketch card is for the 

Freshly Made Sketches Blog

and I used stamps by Michael Strong.

This is the sketch

and you find all the details HERE.

For the waves in the background I used the steam

stamp of michael Strong's coffee set. The stamp is used 

right and left to have the waves from all sides. I used

3 colors of blue for stamping and added some metallic

dots as the water bubbles.

The seahorse is the smaller one of the seahorse set

and stamped in brown. Then I used the blending tool

and an orange marker for coloring.

The sentiment is by Javajoanne.com.

Saturday Sketch Card: Love

With Valentine coming soon, I thought

it was time for some love cards.

I used the Sketch Saturday Blog

for inspiration. And the heart stamp

is by Michael Strong.

Background paper byStampin' Up! (not available anymore)

and the sentiment is by Create with TLC.

The key is one of the metal ideology findings

from Tim Holtz. I decorated the top with a 

large sticky gemstone.

When I noticed the pearl challenge on the

Cupcake Inspiration Blog

I wanted to enter my card there too.

The heart is stamped with versamark and embossed

with red embossing powder. The pink colouring is 

with distress markers and water.

CAS sketch challenge 207

Here is my sketch for the challenge on the 

CAS Sketches Blog.

I still had my Club Scrap Color Me Happy rubber 

stamps on my table and came up with this idea.

For the wavy border I first stamped a few of the flowers

on a sticky post it note, so that I could use those

for masking. After stamping the border and the

sentiment, I coloured the flowers with distress

markers. With distress spray broken china I made

the spots you see in the background. I also added some

of the metallic dots that came with this kit.

I had so much fun with the flowers and I had a 

background left over from my card yesterday,

thad I created another card. So you first stamp

2 flowers, put a post it note cut out flower on top

and you can stamp more flowers. Also distress 

markers have been used to color the flowers.
