Michael Strong's monthly zoom class: August

At the end of each month Michael Strong
organizes a zoom class, not that the stores are closed.
This is a wonderful opportunity for those of us, who cannot
attend his classes, because we live too far away,
to be able to participate through the computer!

Michael makes us each a package of cards that we will
assemble during the zoom class.
You pay $ 25 (incl. postage) and he will send the
package to your home address. It is a lot of fun to see
everyone , craft and chat at the same time.

Above you see the 5 cards we made this month and
I always give it my own touch too.
Card 1: I added the circle stamp on top with a pink
sticky pearl. Lost one of the flower punch outs,
so I added a bigger pearl there.

Card 2: for this gatefold card I added the
cloisonné craines (not available anymore).

On  card 3 I added Mike's mini heart stamp in the circle
with some gold holographic dot on it.

Card 4: with a grid background, where we had to add
all the punched out squares and circles. I added
Mike's gold embossed mini flower with foam tape.

This is the inside of the card.
Here I added also a flower stamp.

For this card # 5 we needed a gris to add all the punched
out squares. Mike will adde this grid to his BLOG,
so you can try this too. You find the butterfly stamp here.

I loved the grid and scanned it and printed it out to
make some cards of my own. Here is one with
Mike's latest star stamp (soon in the catalogue)

And another variation is this one with the shell stamp.

Hope you liked seeing all the cards and now
you think to yourself: I want to attend too!
Well the next class is September 26. There will
be two sessions. If you are interrested send an email
to Michael Strong: stamper.strong@gmail.com

Freshly Made Sketches #450

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

Another sketch card today.
I used this weeks
for my card sketch.

For my card I used the Funky Fossil clear stampset the Bees Knees
and in the background a stencil called Elegant Foliage.

I created the background first with the green ink and the stencil.
The middle part is with the same stencil, but more fall colors.
Then I stamped and colored the fungi. Everything is colored
with Zig markers and cut out with scissors. I just created this
fun scenery to make you smile.

It´s the Thought that Counts

Hello my Crafty Friends!

Today I have a card for you with the
sentiment as a focal point for

For my card I used a set called
Beautiful Braided by Stampin´Up!
Unfortunately this set is not available anymore,
but I got it 2nd hand.

For the background I used the ginko leave stamp
embossed in gold and colored with Zig Markers.

The focal sentiment is stamped on a seperate piece of paper
and matted with yellow and black paper.

In the background a gold ribbon and a few sequins.

I love these gingo leaves already for quite some time
and now I have a tree of my own in my new garden!

These trees are very special and old.
You can read about the ginko tree here.

Just by accident I recently found this lovely ginko leave candle light.
Perfect for my new home!

Cupcake Birthday Celebration #500

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

Today I made a card for the
It is one of the blogs I really like their challenges.

The picture is the inspïrationm or sometimes
it is a color inspiration, always fun with cupcakes.
Here is my birthday card for them.

I made one of the hot slim cards (8.25 x 4 inch) with rainbow
colored cupcakes.
Here you see some of the stuff  used to make the card:
inks, stencils, paper punch and crumpler (for the base of the cupcake).

I used the following stencils by Funky Fossil Designs:

The sentiment is digital by Create with TLC.

For the cupcakes I used 7 colors of paper and punched them
all out (hooray for scraps!) A little brown ink around all
the pieces makes it more lively. They are all attached
to the card with foam tape and finished of with white
sprinkles on the cakes.

Bugaboo Freebie: Moon Girl

Good Morning Crafty friends!

Your weekend is about to begin soon and how about
a FREEBIE to play with?!
You find this Moon Girl on the

It is a kind of Halloween image, but I am not ready for that
with the hot temperatures outside, so I used her for a love card.

A black and white plaid background paper and a little coloring
for this card made it also a quick card. The circle sentiment
goes wonderful with the moon image and a few punched out
stars finished the card.

Thank you so much for looking,

keep crafting.

Humour Me Wednesday

Every Wednesday it is fun on the

Did you know there is an actual
Mosquito Day? It is on the 20th of August.

Hope you like the card!

For this card I used Stella Mosquito and colored the image  with
Stampin'Blends. The backgound paper I made with digital images
from Create with TLC.

After printing and cuting the paper to size, I had a strip left,
that was perfect to add inside of the card.

I found this sentiment by amylattacreations on
Instagram where I follow her and thought I share it here.
 Goes great with my card.

Hope you had a laught today.

Simon Says: Midsummer Blues

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

It is Monday again, the start of another crafty week.
Here in The Netherlands the kids went back to school today.
So some Mommies will be very happy.

I started this week with a card for the
where the challenge is

So to keep to the color blue and the butterflies that
flutter in my garden, I used the following:
Funky Fossil  Geo Bugs for the butterfly and the sentiment
and the Elegant Foliage stencil for the background.

I used a cut out circle behind the foliage stencil and green and blue
oxide inks for coloring.
The butterfly is stamped with versafine and colored with different
shades of blue oxide distress ink and a watercolor brush.

The card is finished with a few blue sequins and  sprayd some
glitter dust on the butterfly, which unfortumately does not
pick up on the photo.

Simon Says: Summer Memories

Hello Crafty Friends,

Here I am with a card for the
where the challenge is

Well here in the Netherlands it is a heatwave at the moment
and i need to drink lots and lots. Iced tea keeps me going
especially the strawbery & lime frozen iced tea by
Starbucks. What is your favorite flavour this Summer?

For my card I used stencils , clear stamps , organza ribbon and
a leaf die.

I started making the background with  the Sunray stencil by
Funky Fossil Design. On a seperate piece of paper I made the coffee cup
with the Coffee Cup stencil by Funky Fossil Design. The disign on the
sleeve is the Leafy Mandala stencil that I have been playing with the past week.

I found some dies by Tim Holtz that look very much like the leaves
from the Leafy Mandala stencil and are perfect for decoration.

The sentiment is from Verve Stamps from my stash
(her shop is unfortunately closed). The bees are from the clear set
the Bees Knees from Funky Fossil Design. These are colored with
Stampin'Blends and a drop of glossy accent on the wings.
