Techno Stamper Sketch #153

This is sketch #153 by the Techno Stamper
and here you see my contribution.
For this card I used a digital stamp by FireCracker Designs by Pamela.
This sweet snowman is a free digital stamp until 26th of December
and you can find it HERE. I colored it with Copic Markers.
The background is done with a snowflake folder trough the cuttlebug.
The sentiment I printed with the computer.

Here another idea with the FireCracker snowman. You find him inside a pocket slide card. The instructions for this card can be found HERE.
The panel on this card is done with the Technique Junkie Technique that is called "Double Bugging" and can be found in the June/July 2009 newsletter.

New digitals at FCD

More often I have shown ruber stamps by FireCracker Designs by Pamela. Unfortunately she is selling of the rubber stamps and the last ones are on sale for 75%.
She is however keeping the digital stamps and there are a bunch of new ones. The Penguin here is one of them. Would you like to see all the new ones? They are HERE and all of them are great for the winter season's cards.

Here you see my card and what has been done with the penguin. Colored with copic markers and cut out with a circle spellbinder it is made into a Christmas ball. Decorated with some flowers and glued to a background of snowflakes with the cuttlebug. Als inside the card is made fitting to the front.

Hope you have
 a creative day!

Last Blog Hop FireCracker: Goodbye

This card I made for Pamela of FireCracker by Design for this is the last time the design team will hold a Blog Hop. Pam stops selling rubber stamps and because of this all of her RUBBER STAMPS are on sale for 50% (the digital stamps will not be included in the sale).

The theme for this last blog hop is: goodbye and I found this wonderful Dr. Seuss quote, for I think that is what it was while it lasted: Fun to shop at FireCracker with a smile and I will be using the stamps for a long time after today. Especially Sally is one of my favourites and I have made some fun cards with her. Here I made a more romantic kind of card with in the background a Technique Junkie technique called Glimmer Lace.

Pam, I wish you all the best in your job, your life, your crafts, your love and may your dreams come true. Hope to see lots more of your digital stamps!

And for more inspiration and goodbye's please hop over to:

This is a “circular blog hop” where the only beginning is wherever you start!!

Pamela will be choosing a random winner from a ‘Mystery’ Blog Hostess, so please make a comment on each stop if you would like a chance at a free red rubber sheet or 4 free digital images. The winner will be announced on Pamela’s blog on Tuesday.

TJ SKETCH BY DESIGN blog hop

Welcome to the Technique Junkie "SKETCH BY DESIGN" blog hop.
This blog hop starts at the Technique Junkies Blog, start there if you don't want to miss anything.
The sketch for this hop can be found HERE.

I have decided to take the term "eye candy" for real and chose to use
FireCracker Designs digital Candied Apples stamp to make this sketch.
The apples are colored with copic markers and on the apples I added
some Glossy Accent to make them look real yummy.
In the background you find one of the new techniques from the
TJ October/November newsletter called  Texture Duet.
The paper for this card is from the Paper Temptress.
This sketch will be a challenge for every TJ member who puts a Design Challenge card on the group or sends it to Pat Huntoon. October is Pat's anniversary month!
Happy Anniversary Pat!!!
(8 wonderful years of new techniques)
The prize will be TJ Subscriber for life, and all back issues/cds to fill in the collection of whoever wins prize will include things from the vendors.

You will need to leave comment on Pat's blog AND CREATE a card sharing the link to their project.

Halloween House for FireCrackers

I hope you arrived here from Shelly's Blog, welcome!
The theme of this FireCracker Designs by Pamela Blog Hop is:
No Place like Home!
Well this time of the year you see all the halloween decoration,
so I made this Halloween Home.
I started making the house with my Cricut. I used ZooBalloo for this and cut the house and the roof.
The house I ran through the cuttlebug with the Tim Holtz Sizzix wall die and added some vintage dissress ink. For the roof I used a Cuttlebug die with firebrick desstress ink.
Behind the window I glued some yellow paper.
I glued the house to black cardstock (which I folded double) and cut with aquarter inch around it.
Now I have a front and a back for the card.
The cat you see in front of the fence (Martha Steward punch) is a digital stamp by FireCracker and can be found HERE.
For the inside of the card, I cut a strip of  10,5 inch x 2,75 inch and folded it in 4 parts, harmonicawize.
On each part glue some scrap paper in Halloween theme. On top of the paper there are some fun figures that are digital stamps. You find the witch HERE, the mummy HERE and Frankie is HERE.
I have colored them with copic markers.

The end result is here below. The strip of paper is glued to the front and the back of the card.
This could be a invitation to a Halloween Party.
The spiders you see around the house I drew by hand.
After Halloween I will do some cleaning!

The artist of these digi stamps is Boni and she has her own BLOG and more fun digital stamps..
It is worthwile to take a look there!
And thanks Boni for the honour to be on your blog!

At Fireckracker Designs by Pamela there are much more fun digital stamps for Halloween cards or projects. You might want to take another look HERE ans see them all.

Rosh Hashana 2010: Happy New Year

Today is the first day of the Jewish Year 5771 and that is why I want to wish all my Jewish creative friends a very healthy and creative New Year: L'Shanah Tovah with these cards. On the cards you see lots of apples and honey. It is a custom to eat this to wish one another a very sweet year.

The card above is made with a digital freebie by FireCracker Designs by Pamela and colored with copic markers. The text is printed with the computer. The technique of  "wisped frame" is from the Feb/March 2010 newsletter by the Technique Junkies.

And this is a zig-zag accodian card from the latest Aug/Sept 2010 TJ Newsletter. Here I printed the same digital stamp in different sizes and the honey and the apple I drew myself.

It's time for TJ CD8 – Have YOU ordered yours yet?

Wacky Wednesday at Fireckrackers

Some people make Christmas cards all year round. Some people start in July and this is also the month that vendors have sales. So I guess you will not be surprised that FireCracker Designs also has a lovely Christmas stamp sale. Today's special set is Christmas Ornaments2. You see the set below and there is a lovely sample card in FireCrackers home page. To find the sale Christmas sets, please go HERE. All are 50% off and lovely sets for your collection. So please come by every Wednesday in July for more Christmas inspiration and wonderful sales.
My sample for today is made with the digital poinsettia stamp of the FireCracker collection. I printed the stamp twice and and colored them with copic markers. One picture is the base and from the other I cut out the middle flower and used some foam tape. The folded frame is a tutorial  I did in March, so if you click HERE you can see how to finish this card. Of course by adding some gem stones and a ribbon it made it a real Christmas card. By the time July is finished my Christmas cards are half done!

FCD May Mayhem blog hop

Hello to all you blog hoppers,

This month we have some very grungy art for you in our Firecracker Designs By Pamela May Mayhem BLOG HOP.
The word grunge is believed to be a back-formation from the US slang adjective grungy, which originated in about 1965 as a slang term for "dirty" or "filthy".
It's basically the kind of stuff Tim Holtz creates: rough edges, sanding, crumpling, tea/walnut stains, aged, etc.

For my card I used a combination of digital and rubber stamps ( rubber: Sally Says, Chicory and dots distress and the digital "give my heart wings"). Now I guess you are interrested in how I made this grungy background. it is done with alcohol ink and there is a tutorial HERE that you can print.

As usual the blog hop candy winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess that we don’t even know who it will be until the hop is over…so that’s why you’ll want to leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out!
**To find out if you’ve won… you will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) and you can also find out on Pamela’s blog after the blog hop ends on Mon, at 8:00 PM (EST).**

Now, to continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to CAT's blog for more inspiration and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

Attention all digital design artists! FCD is looking to start our very first Digi Design Team!! If you are interested in applying please read this blog post for details! Hurry! Applications must be in by May 25th! Midnight EST! (DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MAY 25)

Free digital stamp at FireCracker

It is nice also to use some digital stamps in combination with rubber stamps as I did on this card. I used a digital freebie by FireCrackerDesign by Pamela and you can find it HERE. The flowers and the sentiment are rubber stamps by FireCrackerDesign by Pamela. The background I did with a Technique Junkie technique. I stamped the flowers with white ink and used some chalk over it for color (great technique on dark paper!).
For the card I was insired by the latest sketch in the gallery.

FCD Presents Digital D'Illusions!

This is my first try at digital stamps. They are by FireCracker Designs by Pamela and I must confess it is fun to have a go at this. Of course I have also added my rubber stamps. The advantage of digital stamps is that you can use them in any size you want and can also mirror them.
Now over at FireCraker there is a challenge to win some stamps. Create artwork with the theme: Optical Illusions. More information can be found here: http://www.pamelasgallery.com/digital-designs. There are digital stamps to win.

Cadeau idee/ Gift idea

To make this fun gift idea you need a plastic photo frame (4x6 inch), a post-it block and/or a mini blackboard.

Next you need some paper or a drawing or a photo or a stamped card to put behind the frame. The post-it block is cut to 2,5"x 2,5 " (or any size you want) and take the peg of the backside of the mini chalkboard.
Behind the post-it block I cut a fitting nestabillity shape and behind the mini chalkboard I added some double side tape.
Now slip your artwork behind the frame and stick your post-it block or the mini chalkboard on top of the plastic frame. Nice to put next to your phone or computer.
Alle stempels zijn van FireCracker Designs By Pamela.
