Simon Says: Stars and Stripes

Here is my entry for the challenge on:
Stars and Stripes.
The American flag is a stamp by Tim Holtz
and done in two colors of distress oxide ink.
The sentiment is printed with the computer.

These coffee cups are a rubber stamp by
Michael Strong and colored with a waterbrush
and candied apple and broken china distress oxide ink.
The golden stars are cut out with a paper punch.

The background of this card is made with a stars
embossing folder. I added the red and the blue ink
to the folder with a splash of water before adding
the paper in the embossing folder. Gives a great
result after running it through the big shot.

The ribbon is by DL. ART (hand dyed ribbons)
and the sentiment is by Tim Holtz.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Getting in the mood for the 4th of July

Here is my card for
Anything Goes on
This card started with my grandson.
"Oma", he said, "I want to do ping ping like
you with these." And he grabbed my blending
tool and made dabbing movements with it.
So I grabbed a piece of white paper and
a stencil I had close by and this is
the result:

I only had the cut this beautiful background to sice
and added my colored pug in the cup.
"cafe americano" I printed with the computer.

I used the stamp set Pugs and Hugs by

Pugs and Hugs part 2

So here are some new cards with my new Hugs and Pugs
stamp set from Funky Fossil Designs.
Just trying some various techniques with the stencils
and stamps I got.

I used some post it roll paper to pask off part of the card.
On top I laid the bubbles stencil and colored
part of the background with wild honey oxide
distress ink.

This is how the card looks after the post-it paper
is removed.

Here is another version with the bean stencil.
Love how the eayes and the sticky pears come together.

Thank you for lookin and
have a creative day!

Pugs and Hugs

I cannot stop playing with the new stamp set
The also have a lot of wonderful stencils you should check out HERE.
For the first card I used a combination of two stencils.
I laid the coffee cup on top of the bubbles
and used a post-it note to mask the lid of the cup
(that I later colored yellow by putting the post-it
on the other side)..

The pug in the cup is colored with stampin'blends by SU!.
For this card, I used the inside of the cup to go on the
card and on top I laid the bubbles stencil. When done
coloring I sprayed the ink with a few drops of water.
When all was dry, I took the other stencil of the coffee cup
and put it on top of the white cup. Masking of the lid again
and took out the coffee bean stemcil to color the inside
of the mug. The pug is again colored with the SU!
stampin'blends.

Club Scrap June Sketch

Today i made some digital cards in photoshop.
For this I used the
It is their special 20th Anniversary kit.
There is also a paper version if you are interrested.
You find it HERE.
This is the sketch challenge that I used.
You can find the Club Scrap Chat group on Facebook.
I made the image in photoshop by starting with the black
starry background and filling it with the other images.
Only the ribbon is an image from my stash of other
digital images.

After greating it digital, I printed the card on cardstock
an folded the paper to make a real card.

As i ad some room left on my A4 size cardstock for one
more image, but not a complete card. This I cut of and
mounted on a blue piece of Club Scrap cardstock.

wooden paper and a wooden embossing folder.

This is the inside of the card.
