Hip hip hooray: Colin and Aiden 1 year!

How quickly a year flies by!
So many wonderful moments we shared
with the twin in their first year.
It will be such a joy to see them grow up.

Congratulations
Colin
and
Aiden
and have a wonderful
1st birthday party!

xxx Opa and Oma

Of  course I made a card and
I had so much fun making these box frame
cards for the Club Scrap blog hop,
and so I used it for this card too.
You find the instructions here.
Last Tuestday I made this picture for
the card. This time I used Stampin'Up! papers.
punches and stamps. This is what I used:
owl builder punch,
balloon punch
number thinlits
Balloon Celebrations stamp set
and Number of Years stampset
I also did a bit of doodling on the card.

As the baby anouncement card had owls,
I wanted to do them for their 1st birthday too.
I love my owl punch.

As there are 2 birthday boys, it is twice as happy
to celebrate!

And this is how the card can stand up.

I enter my card to the  linky party
on the D.L.ART blog for the
theme is anything goes.

Thank you for looking!

Club Scrap Blog Hop tomorrow!

So tomorrow is our monthly
Club Scrap Blog Hop
showing of  the kit of of the month.
This month the kit is called
Creative License and is all about cars.

When i had finished my projects and posted themtomy blog,
I suddenly had another idea, but then my post
would become to long, so her a pre- blog
hop post sharing with you this fun idea I had
for handing out candy on a children's birthday.

It is Owen'sbirthday soon,so I need something!

The car that I used was from acoloring page:
I put the car to a piece of folded black paper and only used the
outline of the image. Then I cut a piece of blue (Owen's favourite
color) just a little smaller and glued it on top after
stamping the sentiment. The alphabet from the licence plate
rubber stamp sheet came in very handy. Just a great size!
You find the rubber sheets here.

You might see the wheel look quite real. This is one of the rubber
stamps cut out with a circle punch.

Inside the bag there is candy that looks like all kinds of
cars in all kinds of colors. Yummy!

Did i wet your appetite for more Creative License?
I hope to see you back tomorrow.

Have a creative day!

Faux Patina and Mojo sketch #448

The technique of the month on the
is Faux Patina.
Here is the result of my playing around. I used the
tutorial on the Splitcoast Stampers HERE.
I made one version (left) like they show it on SCS
and the right one is done the same way,but using
acrylic distress paint and gold distress spray.
They are both embossed with the gadget gear embossing folder.
I used the card sketch on the Mojo Monday
for one card.

Made my cards with the new Creative License kit
by Club Scrap. The car is from the digital kit
and the sentiment is from an old CS kit called Cruisin'.
The gadget gear is cut with a Sizzix die from Tim Holtz.
It is also out of a piece of faux patina paper.
On top there is a real metal piece and together fastned
with a brad.
And here another card. This kit is so perfect for Father's Day cards
I found the right sentiment on my CS Cape Cod stamps

Here I used the digital image of the car again and cut it out with a circle
die and taped it on top of one of the larger gadget gears from the die.
I have some papers left, so be sure to stop by and see what I did with those
somewhere in the next few days.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Remember Blog Hop Sunday!

On Sunday January13
has another blog hop for you.
And you know that means lots of FREEBIES!

So do stop by if you can.

I love using pictures of old cars
and had to use the picture to
make this card.

It reminds me of a fun time I spend with my friend
in the US visiting a car museum in Reno.
One could dress up there and make pictures
with your own camera. Doesn't it look like fun?!
Have a creative day!
see you Sunday..........

Auto kaarten/ Car Cards

A friend has send me a card with this lovely car and because my DH just loves cars, I had to figure out how to do this. The car is made out of punch parts and I went on internet to search for an explanation and yes, I found it here:
Above you see some of the cards I made using Club Scrap Cruisin' papers and stamps.
Aren't the cute? At least my husband thinks so!
If you do not have all these punches, I made you a template, so you can try this too.

Here another mini booklet. This time with Club Scrap Cruisin' papers. In the message below you can see a video with instructions for making this booklet.
And also good to enter the Caardvark challenge!
