30 Day Color Challenge

I am taking part in a 30 day color challenge

over at The Daily Marker Blog.

Everyone is challenges to color something on a 

daily basis with whatever material you have available.

As I am making cards nearly every day that is not

very difficult.

On day 1 I started coloring some coffee images for

a blog hop that will start at the end of the month,

so I will have some images ready. I used these cute 

Newton's Nook images and aquarel pencils.

On day 2 I colored this Magnolia girl for a card

you will see tomorrow on this blog. I used again

aquarel pencils for the coloring.

Today - day 2 - I colored a few Crazy Catz from

Tim Holtz with Stampin'Up! markers.

This is  the finished tag, that I  want to enter

for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

This week it is to make a tag.

In the background I used various stencils with a blending

tool and the new oxide distress ink. Love the soft look it

gives. The sentiment is a digital sentiment by 

Create with TLC. The paws are punced out and 

a piece of craft paper behind it. 

At the bottom of the tag I also added a few pieces

of washi tape. The cats are colored and cut out.

The top cat is glued to the tag and the bottom cat

is fastned with double sided tape for a more

dimentional effect.

Lesje/ Tutorial

Op Splitcoaststampers is elke week een nieuw lesje.

Gisteren was het zo'n leuk en eenvoudig lesje, dat ik daar deze kaart mee gemaakt heb.

De letters  en de ster op de achtergrond zijn van Michael Strong en het meisje is van Magnolia.

Hieronder zie je het lesje van Splitcoaststampers en legt heel duidelijk

uit hoe je deze achtergrond maakt.

Voor de letters heb ik ook deze achtergrond gemaakt en

daarna met vesamark erop gestempeld en blauwe embossingpeder gebruikt.

De letters zijn uitgeponst met een ovale pons van ek succes 1 1/2"x 3/4".

Het meisje is ingekleurd met een waterbrush en disstress inkt.

Yesterday there was a new lesson, that looked so fun and easy, that I made this card with it.

The letters and the star in the background are by Michael Strong and the girl is by Magnolia.

Here you see the video tutorial by Splitcoaststampers and it it explains the technique for the background very well. For the letters the same background was made and the letters were stamped with versamark and than embossed with blue embossing powder. I used an oval ek succes punch 1 1/2"x 3/4"to punch out the letters. The girl was colored with a waterbrush and disstress ink.

Tent kaart/ Tent card

Ook vandaag heb ik weer een lesje: een tent kaart! Je kunt hem goed plat maken en in een enveloppe doen.

Today I have another tutorial for you: a tent card. Easy to fold flat and insert in an envelop.

1. Wat heb je nodig? 2x kaart papier van 15x15 cm, een scrap papiertje van 14x14 cm en nog een kaart papier van 10x15 cm.

1. What do you need? 2 pieces of cardstock 6x6 inch, 1 piece of scrap paper 5,75x5,75 inch an 1 piece of cardstock 4 x 6 inch.

2. Plak het scrapvelletje op het kaart papier en snij een rondje, vierkant of ovaal (naar keuze) uit het missen van de kaart. Dit kan met Nestabillities of met een mesje en een liniaal.

2. Glue the piece of scrap paper to your cardstock. In the middle of the paper you cut a square, circle or oval shape (whatever you like). This can be done with nestabilities, but also by hand with a knife and ruler.

3. Nadat je de voorkant van de kaart hebt gedecoreerd moet het geheel in elkaar gezet worden. Hiervoor heb je het stuk van 10x15 cm nodig, dat je in de lengte in vieren vouwt en dan als harmonica. Plak zowel voor als achterkant van de kaart aan de onderkant hieraan vast en tot slot ook de bovenkanten. Nu kan de kaart staan op de gevouwen harmonica.

3. After you have decorated the front of the card, we have to assemble the card. For this you need the 4x6 inch piece.This is folded in four parts lengthwise and made into a harmonica. Both front and back piece are glued to this piece, then you lift it up and glue the top together. Now the card can stand up on the harmonica piece.

4. In de opening hang je een figuurtje naar keuze. Maak in het figuurtje een gaatje en in de opening. Gebruik een metalen ringetje of een lintje om dit aan elkaar te bevestigen.

4. Inside the opening you can hand a little picture by making a hole both in the picture and in the opening. You can use a little metal ring or a ribbon to hang the picture.

5. Aan de achterkant kun je dan de tekst van je kaart schrijven.

5. On the backside of the card you can add your text.

Sketch time

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de Techno Stamper schets 124. Het matrozenmeisje is van Magnolia en verder heb ik het frame en vogeltje van Michael Strong gebruikt. De tekst is van Hero Arts.

Bollen/Bulbs

Ik heb een nieuwe stempel, een echte lente stempel. Het is een pot met blauwe druifjes van Magnolia en je kan er zulke leuke kaartjes mee maken! Ze geven me echt het gevoel van lente. Je kunt hem zo gebruiken, maar ook heel goed combineren met andere potten, zoals met de potstempel van Michael Strong.
Hier zie je een collage van een aantal kaartjes die ik ermee gemaakt heb. Al het papier is van Club Scrap.

I got this wonderful new stamp from Magnolia. I have been making some cards with it and it is great to use as it is, but also wonderful to combine with Michael Strongs pot stamp. Here a collage of some of the cards I have made today. Doesn't it give you a spring feeling? All papers i have used are by Club Scrap.

Zeemeermin/ Mermaid

Hier nog een kaartje met een spin & splash achtergrond. Ze zijn echt overal leuk voor. Nu met de zeemeermin van Magnolia en de leuke mini-stempels van Michael Strong. Here another card with a spin & splash background. You can use them for everything. Here with a Magnolia mermaid and the wonderful new mini stamps by Michael Strong.

Dreidel

Een dreidel is een soort tolletje waar de kinderen op Chanoeka mee spelen. Hierbij mijn derde kaart. Een dreidl in de irisvouw techniek. Wil je hem ook maken? Het patroon vind je hier en heb je nog nooit irisvouwen gedaan? Klik dan hier voor een lesje!
Gebruikte stempels zijn: meisje van Magnolia en alle andere stempels zijn van Stampin'Up! (Festival Fun). Het kandelaartje is met een pons gedaan. A dreidel is a kind of spinner for children to play with on Hanukkah. On my third card I did a dreidl in the irisfold technique. Would you like the pattern? It is here.
