D2D Harvest

Here is my card for the ongoing challenge at

Designed2delight.

Every week that you play you get a free image

so you can play the next week.

This week we got "Autumn Harvest" to play with.

I got the idea for this weeks card on the

Hero Art Blog, were they showed this video:

I used the D2D Autumn Harvest image

and some stamps from FireCracker Design.

I colored every image with water color crayons.

The sentiment is by Create with TLC.

Bij FireCracker zijn de rubber stempels in de uitverkoop. Nu zijn ze 75% afgeprijsd, dus neem er nog even een kijkje voordat er niets meer over is. Wat nog gewoon blijft zijn de digitale stempels en die zijn ook niet in de uitverkoop, maar als je op vrijdag kijkt zijn er freebies te halen, zoals deze op de kaart hieronder. Dit plaatje is gekleurd met copic markers. In het hart van de bloem zit een klein glitter steentje vast geplakt met glossy accent. De achtergrond is gedaan met een embossingfolder van de cuttlebug.

At FireCrackers the rubber stamps are on sale for 75%, so you should take a look before everything is gone. What stays are the digital stamps and the are not on sale. But if you pass by on Friday, you can get a freebie, like this picture for Thanksgiving. I colored it with my copic markers. In the middle of the flower I added some glossy accent with a little gemstone. The background is done with an embossingfolder and the cuttlebug.

Terug naar school/ Back to school

Klassen worden weer klaar gemaakt voor het nieuwe schooljaar en op elke tafel moet dan voor de 1e dag een naambordje. Wat dacht je van dit leuke en bruikbare aantekeningen blokje op elke tafel?

Classes are put back in order again for the new school year and on every table you put a piece of paper with the name of the children. How about this cute little note pad?

Ik heb al eens eerder zo'n blokje gemaakt, kijk maar HIER, maar deze is toch weer anders. Je hebt er voor nodig een (bier) onderzetter - deze is 9 x 9 cm en een boekclip. Het plaatje is een digitale stempel van FireCracker by Design (deze week tot vrijdag gratis!).
Ook een klein notitie blokje of een post-it blokje heb je nog nodig.

I made these notepads before, see HERE, but this one is just a little different. You need a (beer) coaster - size 3,5 x 3,5 inch. The picture is a digital image by FireCracker by Design (and if free until Friday!). You also need a little notepad or a post-it block.

De plaatjes zijn gekleurd met copic markers en de achtergrond heb ik met ovale nestabillities gemaakt.
Het bierviltje heb ik eerst met een effen papiertje (9 x 9 cm) beplakt en daarna met een gedecoreerd papiertje ( 8.5 x 8,5 cm). Ik heb hier de "Acrylic Emboss" technique van de Technique Junkies gebruikt, maar je kan er ook voor kiezen om een scrapvelletje te gebruiken. De ovale vorm met plaatje is met dubbelzijdig foamtape op de boekclip geplakt. Je kunt nog verder versieren met bloemmetjes, apples, potloodjes of linialen, maar dat laat ik aan de fantasie van de maker over. De tekst op het blokje is gemaakt met de computer.

The images are colored with copic markers and the background done with some oval nestabilities. The coaster is covered firat with a plain piece of paper ( 3,5 x 3,5 inch). Than I cut a smaller piece of decorated paper. I used the  "Acrylic Emboss" technique by Technique Junkies, but you can also choose to use a piece of scrap paper. The oval shape with the image is fastened to the book clip with some double sided foam tape. You can add some flowers, apple, pen, ruler etc to your own liking. The text on the notepad it made with the computer.

Wacky Wednesday at FireCrackers Designs

Here is another Wacky Wednesday at FireCracker by Designs.

And here is my inspiration:

The background of this card is done with the cuttlebug and some rainbow colored inkpad.

Here you see two cards with the same focal point, but different backgrounds, which gives the cards a different look. All cards are in fall colors and give you a fall feeling. But he is is still summer so here is one with a much more summerfeeling:

For this card I also used the mini flowers of Michael Stong embossed in gold and punched out a little brown circle to make it look like a sunflower. The scarecrow is colored with copic markers. The sentiment is made up with summer by the computer and greetings is stamped in black. The leaves of the sunflower are done with a die on my cuttlebug ( ah what to do without it!!).

For this card I have used images of Twisted Paper (two ladies), FireCracker Designs (cups and sentiment) and background stamp from Stampin'Up! You see here all new techniques from the August/September 2010 newsletter (Worn Wallpaper, Pencil and Ink and Glitter ribbons). On the flowers I used a technique from the October 2009 newsletter called decorated Pretties. I think I got quite a few techniques on this one.

As I do not have this set, I have some other inspiration for you. Here is a fun little present you can make for Christmas and add a little gift inside. I used the digital Poinsettias again on the top of the box and the clear stamp greetings set on the sides to stamp some good wishes.

Inside the box you can add some Christmas tea bags, eggnut or gluwein like I did. Even add a little candy in the middle. I am sure you come up with something to add in the box.

Blog Hop FCD Sketch

Welcome to the FCD Blog hop!

This is a “circular blog hop” where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from!

Here is my take on sketch 021 with FireCracker Designs digital stamp: Mother's Bouquet.

I colored the flowers with copic markers and added some gemstones in the heart of the flower.

The background is a piece of scrap paper.

The sentiment is also digital and after printing it I made it into a ticket.

Here you can see how  you can make a ticket;

You need these two punches and a piece of rectangle paper of your choice of size.

Mark the middle of the short side of the ticket,

First use the corner punch on all four corners.

Now you take the circle punch and on the marked spot, you go in with half of the circle and punch.

Do this on both sides.

Finish the ticket by stamping a sentiment on it and you can also draw some lines and sponge the outside to give it a worn look.

Another Wacky Wednesday at FCD

Yes, it is Christmas sale at FireCracker by Design and today it is: Let's Celebrate. Half price!

More inspiration can be found at Boni's blog and Karyn's Blog.

As I do not have all the sale sets, I do have some inspiration for you. I have used FCD digital Poinsettias and Michael Strongs pot stamp for this Christmas decoration, which you can also send as a card.

What do you need: some red cardstock 5,5  x 5,5 inch folded in half and a strip of 5,5 x 2,5 inch, folded in a W ( first in half and then both sides up again).

A plain circle and a scalloped one (I used my nestabillities, but you can also make them with your cricut or punches). The middle line of the silver circle is 3 inch.

Print and color the poinsettias (when you want to make them 3d, you need to print some extra's to cut out).

Stamp and emboss the pot stamp (I stamped on some green magaxine paper).

Some strips of paper for decoration ( green 5,5 x 2 inch and red dotted 5,5 x 1,75 inch) and a piece of ribbon if you want.

Take some double sided tape and tape it to the outside of the W-shaped strip. Take only the cover of one side off and glue it down and then do the other side. This will make it easier for you tomposition the strip.

Assemble and decorate the card as desired. You can use this on your table as name cards, but you also send it in an envelop as you Christmas cards.

FCD Wacky Wednesday

Today it is Wacky Wednesday again at FireCrackers by Design! By now you must know that this means 50% discount on a certain rubber stamp set. This time it is "Yoga 1 - Chakra's". As I do not have this set myself, I haven't made you a sample card. But visit FireCrackers gallery and see some of the wonderful samples HERE.

But I did make a "wiper" card. A great kind of moving card. You find the tutorial HERE, good instructions even with a video. For this card I used one of FireCrackers digital stamps "Celebrating Frog" and the matching text: Hoppy Birthday (which is for free). The plain paper is from the Bazzil collection and the decorated scrap paper if from Basic Grey. The frog is colored with copic markers.

FCD Eclipse challenge

Over at the FireCracker Design Blog there is a challenge inspired by the Eclipse Books. Even though I never heard of these books and so I never red them, the internet is a wonderful medium to be inspired. So for the FCDblog hop I made this card to inspire you. Also you can go to Pam's site and get yourself a DIGITAL FREEBIE which is absolutely perfect for this challenge.

I found this nice eclipse logo which I printed on my card. If you like it too, you are free to "borrow" it!

I used several different sets, to make this card. There are coffe rings from Escape the Daily Grind, dots distress, and rings from Elephants on Parade.

Wacky Wednesday at FireCracker Designs

Today is Wacky Wednesday at FireCraker Design: 50% discount on this ATC set of rubber stamps.

And to inspire you I have a tutorial and some ATC to share.

But first: wat is an ATC? The letters stand for  Artist Trading Card. It is a little piece of art on the size of a credit card. Everything is aloud:Stamping, collage etc. The only thing that cannot be changed is the size: 64mm x 89 mm or 2.5 x 3.5 inch.These cards are not for sale! You trade them with one another. Or it is the most wonderful item for swaps! The back of the card is signed with your name, date and number of cards and the name of the ATC.

I made this little booklet for you, where you can insert 3 ATC's and send them for a swap in a creative way to someone else. What do you need: some cardstock, ribbon, eyelet, tools for eyelets, ink and stamps. Also you need some plasic ATC 9 Pocket Page Protectors.

1. Start with cutting the plastic Page protector in 3x 3 pockets.

2. Cut a piece of 4,5 inch x 8,07 inch. You click on the picture below to enlarge it and see the exact measurements for folding the booklet. If you like a more round flap, you can draw it to your liking on the right side.

3. In both of the small spines you make two holes for eyelets.

4. On top of the left 2 holes you lay the plastic page protector and also make some holes. Take two eyelets and fasten them through booklet and plastic.

5. On the right spine you just fasten the 2 eyelets and put the ribbon through. Make two knots on the inside of the booklet.

6. Whether you have a straight or round flap, you can close it with a magnet or some velcro.

Now start stamping your ATC's to add in your booklet (purse).
