Saturday card: Springtime

Today I have been playing with my

Hannah's Busy Bee stamp and stenil by Michael Strong.

how I made this card.

What do you need:

- stamp and stencil

- smooth paper (NL: stampingback papier)

-a few colors of distress ink and blending tool or sponges

- blach archival ink

- heat tool

- baby wipe and paper towel

- fantastix or cotton swab

- water

- (distress) markers

1. Start with using black archival ink and stamp

on paper ( I used 4,5"x 4,5" piece of paper)

2.Heat set the stampwith your heat tool.

3.Color the background with vintage photo.

4. Also color the part of the bee with vintage photo.

5. With the other colors of your choice the rest

of the stamp is colored.

6. Cover the paper with the honeycomb stencil

and take a baby wipe.

7. Use the baby wipe around the stamp to take away

the vintage photo ink.

8. When you take away the stencil, the card

looks like this.

9. Now you need a little water and a fantastix (or cotton swab)

You dip the fantatix into water and put water drops on the flowers 

and the wings and body of the bee.

10. When you dab with a paper towel on the

wet spot, you take away the ink and are left

with a white spot.

11. You can use distress markers for coloring.

12. I left the flowers white (exc two hearts are colored orange),

 colored the stems green and colored the bee's body with yellow.

13. As an extra I added a little glitter glue on the 

wings of the bee.

Club Scrap Bootcamp: die cuts 2

These are made with 

Club Scrap's Birds of a Feather kit.

Background done with an embossing folder

and adding some distress ink. Birds are

made with a punch,sentiment is a die cut.

Background stamped with BOF stamp

and all the rest are die cuts.

Pas de Deux

Dit kaartje is gemaakt met de ballet kikker van Stampinback, de gecko van Michael Strong en de letters zijn houten stempeltjes van Hero Arts. De kaart is gekleurd met disstress inkt en op het balletrokje zit wat glitterlijm.On this card you see a combination of the dancing frog by Stampinback and the gecko by Michael Strong. The letters are wooden block from Hero Arts. The card is coloured with disstress ink and glitter glue on the ballet skirt.

Kubus/ Cube

Afgelopen zaterdag hebben mijn vriendin en ik een hele leuke workshop gegeven. We hebben met 25 mensen deze kubus met inhoud (boekje) gemaakt. We hebben hiervoor lege cd hoesjes gebruikt en papier en stempels van Stampinback.
Last Saturday my friend and I gave a workshop for 25 people. We made this cube with empty cd boxes and Stampinback stamps and paper. Inside the cube we made a little booklet.

Spinner kaart/ Spinner Card

De spinner kaarten zijn er al een tijdje en is echt heel leuk en ook makkelijk om te maken. Ik heb dit leuke lesje op youtube gevonden met handige uitleg. Ook is er op Splitcoaststampers een handige uitleg. Je komt er vast wel uit.

Van mijn kaart heb ik ook een klein filmpje gemaakt. Ik heb hiervoor de zeester en tekst van Michael Strong gebruikt, de dots border van Hero Arts en de luchtbelletjes van Stampinback.

The spinner card is not a new kind of card. It has been around and fun and easy to make. I found a wonderful tutorial on youtube and posted it here for you. There is also another handy recourse on the Splitcoaststampers you might want to look at.

I also made a movie of my own card. I used the Sea Star and text by Michael Strong, the dot border by Hero Arts and the air bubbbles by Stampinback.

Uitdaging Stampinback/ Challenge Stampinback

Bij de Stampinbacklijst is een leuke uitdaging. Een dierenkop met ander lijf. Leuk!! Ik was er meteen voor in en heb deze kaart gemaakt. Alle stempels zijn van Stampinback. At the Stampinback yahoogroup there is a fun challenge. Animal head with different body. I liked it right away and made this card. All stamps are by Stampinback.

Vrolijk Pasen/ Happy Easter

Vandaag wens ik jullie met deze kaart een Vrolijk Pasen! De achtergrond is gemaakt met stempels van Stampinback en hoe je het zo krijgt kun je bij een lesje zien wat ik al eerder op mijn blog heb geplaatst. klik HIER en je ziet hoe het moet. Gebruikte stempels zijn: het ei van Michael Strong en tekst en mannetje van Stampinback. This is a fun card for Easter and you find the instructions on my other craft blog. These stamps I have used: egg by Michael Strong and old man and sentiment by Stampinback.

Glans/ Shiny

Het is lang geleden dat ik een kaartje voor de Wednesday Stampers heb gemaakt. Maar hierbij mijn kaartje voor het thema van deze week: Glans. Tja, dat is wel altijd moeilijk op de foto te krijgen, Maar het steentje in de kroon en de kralen glanzen en op de rozen en het midden paneel zit glitterlijm. Alle stempels zijn van Stampinback.
De grote letters zijn van karton met zilver embossing poeder. It has been a long time since I stamped for Wednesday Stampers. But here is my card for this weeks challenge: Shiny. To get glitter on a pictures is always hard, but you can imagine the gemstone in the crown and the beads being shiny. On the roses and the middel part I have addes some glitter glue. The words kiss me are on cardboard letters embossed with silver embossing powder.
All stamps are Stampinback.

Pro Scrapbook League at Club Scrap

Vorig jaar heb ik meegedaan met een scrapbook wedstrijd bij Club Scrap. Dit noemen ze Pro Scrapbook League (PSL). Vorig jaar kon je alleen scrapbook pagina's maken en nu kun je ook met kaarten mee doen. Hier is mijn eerste kaart. Ik heb hiervoor meteen schets #56 van de Techno Stampers blog gebruikt. Alle papieren, teksten en lint zijn van Club Scrap. De vlinder is van Michael Strong en het fluitenkruit is van Stampinback. Last year I entered a scrap book contest at Club Scrap. They call it Pro Scrapbook League (PSL). Than you could only make scrapbook pages, now you can also enter a card contest.
So here is my first card. All papers, ribbon and text by Club Scrap. I used sketch #56 by Techno Stampers blog to make it. Butterfly is by Michael Strong and flower by Stampinback.

Koud, maar mooi!/Cold, but beautiful!

Nederland is bevroren. We kunnen schaatsen, hoera! Dat is lang geleden dat alle sloten en meren bevroren waren. Maar niet alleen dat we de schaatsen weer uit het vet halen, we genieten ook van de prachtige omgeving. De mooiste plaatjes kun je nu maken. Te bedenken dat dit gewoon achter je huis te zien is. Natuurlijk moest ik ook proberen of ik na 12 jaar nog wel kon schaatsen.....moeizaam...maar ik heb het gedaan! Kijk maar en ik heb er gelijk voor mijn Michael Strong groep een scrapkaartje mee gemaakt. Tekst is van Stampinback.

In The Netherlands everything is frozen! We can go skating, hooray!! It has been so long ago that the lakes were frozen and we could skat on natural ice. Not only are we Dutch all getting our skates out, but we also enjoy the fantastic view. Can you believe this picture is in just behind my house?? Of course I had to go out and try if I could still skate after 12 years....it wasn't easy....but as you see on the picture......I did it! It was wonderful. And I made a scrap card with it for my Michael Strong group. The text is from Stampinback.

Kerstkatje/ Christmas kitten

Kaartje voor schets #45 met Stampinback stempels en vilten sterretjes van Blokker. Here is sketch # 45 with stamps from Stampinback and little felt stars.

Dance

Ik heb deze geweldig leuke stempels liggen van Stampinback en eindelijk ben ik er mee gaan spelen. Stempelen met Stazon ( wel af en toe een masker gebruiken over de gestempelde afbeeldingen) inkleuren met disstress inkt, lintje en bloemetje en klaar!!
Alleen de ronde letters "dance" zijn niet van Stampingback,maar van River City. I have these wonderful stamps by Stampinback and only just now I used them to make a card.
Stamping with stazon (and using a mask now and than to cover images), color with disstress ink and finish of with a flower and a ribbon.
All stamps are Stampinback except for the letters "dance". Those are by River City.

Techno Stamper sketch #40

Vandaag met deze leuke nieuwe stempels van Stampinback meegedaan aan schets # 40. With these wonderful new stamps from Stampinback, I participated with sketch #40.

Gecko

Hier ben ik weer, terug van vakantie en gauw een kaartje gemaakt om op mijn blog te zetten. Hij lag al half klaar op mijn bureau en samen met papier uit de nieuwste doos van Club Scrap afgemaakt. Gecko stempel van Michael Strong en tekst van Club Scrap en varen van Stampinback. Achtergrond is gemaakt met krantenpapier, acrylverf en goud geembossed. Here I am! Back from a wonderful vacation and of course just a quick card to add to my blog. It was lying around unfinished on my desk and with the wonderful new paper from the latest pizzabox from Club Scrap I finished the card. Stamps are from Michael Strong (gecko), tekst from Club Scrap and fern from Stampinback. The background is made with newspaper, acrylic paint and gold embossing powder.

Techno Stamper sketch # 27

Hier weer een schets gedaan van de Techno Stampers blog. Gebruikte stempels zijn van Ank (het fluitekruit), de geko van Michael Strong (op krimpfolie en als broche in de kaart verwerkt. Leuk cadeautje!) en de tekst is van Club Scrap (Body&Soul). Here another sketch for the Techno Stampers blog. I used Stampinback stamps (cow parsley), Michael Strong's geko (stamped on shrink plastic and embedded in the card. Nice present!) and text from Club Scrap (Body&Soul).

Libelle/ Dragonfly

Vandaag gespeeld met de libelle van Michael Strong. Hier zie je de voorbeelden. Heb stempels en papier van Club Scrap erbij gebruikt, maar ook papier en een stempel (fluitekruid) van Stampinback. Mocht je vragen hebben over bepaalde technieken, dan kun je me gerust een mailtje sturen.

First letter collage

Vandaag met mijn nieuwe stempel van Stampinback deze collage gemaakt voor de WSS uitdaging. Het jongetje wat je ziet is mijn vader toen hij klein was en aangezien het gisteren twee jaar geleden was dat hij is overleden, leek het mij mooi om deze stempel voor de uitdaging te gebruiken. Mijn vader hield van autos en werkte met computers (dus de cijfertjes), maar genoot ook van de tuin (de bloemen) en hij zit voor altijd in mijn hart (de paperclip) geloten (sleutel met slot). Today I made this collagewith my new stamp from Stampinback for the WSS challenge. The boy you see is my dad when he was little and because yesterday it was two years since he died it seemed appropriate to use use the stamp. My dad loved card and worked with the computer (the numbers), he loved his garden (the flowers) and he is forever locked (key and lock) in my heart (the paperclip).
