Flower inspiration

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I want to share some cards I made lately

that where inspired by the flowers arround me:

 in my garden or otherwise.

These passion flowers grow on the corner on the wall of my home.
For my cards I used a background stamp by Tim Holtz
and images by Paulette Slater.
The butterflies are beautiful 3D stickers by Hobby Flora.

Hydrangea in front of my craftroom window.

Magnolia in the front garden.
I love this Tim Holtz background.
Dutch sentiment stamp says "Congratulations".
Red poppies acros my mother's nursing home.

Yellow poppies in Amsterdam.

Gope you like this idea and are inspired too.
Have a lovely Sunday and enjoy nature.
Here in The Netherlands it is going to be
a very, very hot day!

Creative greetings!

Beautiful Peony

 Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I share with you a card I made,

that is inspired by a sudden discovery in my garden:

This beautiful yellow and pink peony was hiding
in a corner of my garden.
As I live here for 2 Springs now, it must have been here last year too,
but I just did not see it. This peony bush is behind a tree and as you
can see from my hand behind the flower, it is a very large flower.
Because of this they hang underneath the leaves.
On facebook I shared some pictures and got so many comments,
especially about  the color. Yes, this is so special.
I have some red peonies too, but these are not open yet.

For my card I used a flower stamp from Stampin'Up! called
Blended Bloom. The sentiment (congratulations in Dutch)
is a clear stamp from my stash.
The friends background stamp i think is from SU!, but I am not sure.

Thank you for looking
and have a wonderful day!

Club Scrap Blog Hop: Lagoon

Welcome to the montly Club Scrap Blog Hop.
This month the theme of the kit is Lagoon
and is such fabulous blues papers and
great stamps for wonderful pages, cards and projects.

I hope you have come over here from
and seen her wonderful inspiration.

I had a totally different project in mind and then we went to
the Sealife aquarium in The Hague/ The Netherlands.
So perfect to scrap with these papers!
I used two of the ALSB pages for it and added my own touches.

The left page is a general page with the entry
of the aquarium, the fishes and owen getting
his pirate diploma.
I added some silver embossed sea stars to the page
and teal jewel stickers from the kit.

Also on the cut out fishes strip I added some jewel stickers.

I love using the cut aparts, they look perfect in place.

And here the righ page. My daughter took this awseome picture of
Owen kissing the seahorse lamp in the aquarium.

On the ALSB discription there are 3 coins on the squares,
but I needed those for something else, so I used
the small sea star stamp to take the place of the coins.

I just love looking at this picture and the sentiment is just
made for my page!

So here is the project that I wanted to make and
couldn't resit making it anyway.

After googling Lagoon projects on Pinterest, I had many
ideas and made a lot of them come true in this
garden light/decoration project.

I wanted to paint a glas pot, but when I looked in t garage
for a fitting pot, I came across this perfectly colored jar.
With hemp and my macramé skills from some early days
I covered the pot. When arriving at the bottom, I took
all the ropes together and bound it with an extra piece.

To make the pot hang  adding 2x4 ropes and made some knotting
the other way so I could tie the jar to a hook in our
gazebo and added a candle inside.

For decorating I stamped, embossed and colored
the sea star, the sea horse, and printed the mermaids tail.
All were cut out and glued to the jar in between
the netting.

On pinterest I saw all these wooden beach signs
and i wanted those as well. I made it out of  paint
stir bars. Fist a layer of gesso and next some acylic paint.
When all was dry I stamped the sentiments on top.

As I did not want too many pictures on my blog post
so i made some collages so you can see the jar from
all sides. I added alse some stickers on the pot.
When the light is on in the dark it has a wonderuleffect.
Sorry, I could not make a good picture in the dark.

Underneath the jar the ropes are also decorated.
Here I added the coins, glued the shiny sea stars that
came with the kit, added more stamed woodsies,
a few real shells and a mermaids tail.

Well, that was it for this month. Hope you will go on
the see what
has come up with on her blog.

If you loose your way, you can always go to the
where all the participants are linked
and where you can also link your own project.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Create with TLC Spring Garden Blog Hop

Welcome to a great and inspirational
Blog Hop with images from

The design team has come up with
some wonderful projects
about the garden in Spring time.
The sun is out and we need to get
out there and get the garden ready.

There are 10 blogs to visit.
I hope you have arrived here from
and seen her lovely card.

Now is the time to start getting your seeds and
start planting themin the little pots before
they go outside. So it is a great way to
give your friends some seeds. With my freebie
you can make your own package.
Just click on the image and save it
to your computer.

I printed the  image on green paper and colored
the salad with a distress marker.
I created a card with a slit to add the package of seeds.

And I created the card this way, that when the
package is out, you are left with a lovely card.
I colored the card with distress inks,
stamped the lines and then embossed
the paper with flowers.

And here a totally different card,
but also with a little package of seeds.
I had just bought these packages of
seeds to plant with my grandson on
"omaday"and used them for decoration with this card.

Here you see a tiny package of seeds that you
need to plant in the garden.

The picture behind the package of seeds is
a childrens coloring page I downloaded and printed
small to fit on a card. The picture is colored with
pencils. Then the picture is added to the card with foam tape,
so there is a tiny space for adding the tiny peg.

The sentiment on the bottom of the card is
typed up wth the computer and printed
and punched out. Decorated with two tiny
sticky pearls.

And for the next idea and freebie
and see what she has come up with.
If you happen to loose your way,
you find all the participants on

Thank you very much for looking.
Have a creative day!

Papegaaien in de tuin/ Parrots in the garden

Today I filmed a little bit when I saw the parrots in my garden. Aren't they beautiful? They love the peanutchain. In the morning just one parrot comes and in the afternoon two come to eat: a couple.

Koffie in de tuin/ Coffee in the garden.

Deze pagina is gemaakt met Club Scrap-papier. De tekst is met de computer gedaan, het font het Desigers. De koffiebeker heb ik zelf gemaakt en zo kun je de tekst binnenin verbergen.

This page is made with Club Scrap paper. The text is printed with the computer, the font is called Desigers. The coffecup design I made myself and this way you can make a hidden journaling.
