I must tell you I have some big troubles with my computer.

My files are encrypted and cannot reach all my pictures to

make art. You may find more on instagram (@4hetty) this

time, because that is easier from my mobile phone.

Today I have been playing with pictures from the old ladies

club at my mother's  home for the elderly.

When all the 3d pictures of Christmas came from the storage,

I found some lovely ones that I could use for the

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. How about this cute owl?!

Here you see a lovely tea cup for Christmas in 3d cutting

on the front of this card.

When you open it, it has a special way to make it stand.

This is how the card looks sideways.

And this is the inside of the card with a sentiment of

a much loved VerveStamp.

Twin Birthday

Can you belive it?! The twins turn 3 today!

We spend wonderful hours twinsitting and having

fun with these two boys. We cannot believe how time flies.

We LOVE Colin and Aiden and wish them 

happy hapy happy birthday!!

These are the cards I made for them,

fun little monsters.

For the monsters I used the owl punch by 

Stampin'Up! and the number 3 is a thinlit

also by Stampin'Up!.

The sentiment is a digital one by Create with TLC.

Now I am of to the party!

Baby cards

Today I have been making baby cards for my card box.

They were all gone, it is a baby boom around me!

For these cards I have been looking at pinterest and this is the result.

I have used two punches by Stampin'Up! 

the owl builder and the cookie cutter builder (with the

matching stampset cookie cutter christmas).

Papers are from various blocks.

Of course I had to make a card for a twin.

The sentiment on this card is from a vintage SU! 

stampset as well as the feet on the envelop.

For the sentiment I used the Modern Label punch

for cutting the sentiment. At the endings i added a little 

sticky pearl.

Of course matching enveloppes come with the card.

Sunday Scrap Page: Graduation

I am a proud mama today,

for last Thursday my daughter graduated
from the University of Hospitality in Amsterdam.
She graduated in Event Management.

Of course I made a page about it.

I used Club Scrap's Office Space papers

and cut aparts.

On the first picture she is presenting her paper with

a powerpoint presentation behind her.

I love how the office idea fits with the theme. The tiny

post it notes that came with the kit are perfect here.

And the cut apart saying Think Big too!

I printed out several words that I wanted to add to the 

page in the American Typewriter font and cut them,

so I could staple these to the page in line of the

theme. The graduation cap in the middle is a piece of 

2x2 inch black paper and a cut out with a thinlit from 

an SU! set called Balloon Framelits. Even though we 

do not use these caps in the netherlands it is a fun 

embellishemt on the page. 

Can you see how proud I am of my DD?!

It really is a great accomplishment. 

And last but not least sime words from the

wise old owl, a rubber stamp by Michael Strong.

Now you are at the crossroad of a new part of your life.

I wish you all the luck in finding a great job and may you

find love and happiness in the rest of your life.

Hip hip hooray: Colin and Aiden 1 year!

How quickly a year flies by!

So many wonderful moments we shared

with the twin in their first year.

It will be such a joy to see them grow up.

Of  course I made a card and

I had so much fun making these box frame

cards for the Club Scrap blog hop,

and so I used it for this card too.

Last Tuestday I made this picture for

the card. This time I used Stampin'Up! papers.

punches and stamps. This is what I used:

owl builder punch,

balloon punch

number thinlits

Balloon Celebrations stamp set

and Number of Years stampset

I also did a bit of doodling on the card.

As the baby anouncement card had owls,

I wanted to do them for their 1st birthday too.

I love my owl punch.

As there are 2 birthday boys, it is twice as happy

to celebrate!

And this is how the card can stand up.

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Day 5

Here we are again with an other creation for the

Summer Coffee Lovers blog Hop.

This time I use a digital image by 

JessicaLynn Originals.

that she made especially for this blog hop.

It is Brentwood Owl with loads of coffee and coffeebeans.

I colored the image in photoshop and then printed

the image on heavier white paper and used a die

to cut the image. I found this large flower

in my stash and thought it was perfect for a

Summer card.

I was wondering what brentwood was looking at,but as he is

taking his coffee in the garden this time of year, I noticed

a butterfly was the focus of his attention.

The butterfly is a die cut, fastened with  brad.

The cup I printed twice for cutting and making it more dimentional.

I added it with fom tape to the other one and added glossy accent

on top to give the impression of a real cup.

Finally I finished the card with one more flower for contrast.

Owl be making cards!

Welcome to my blog on this special day

of card making.

Of course I had to have something here to share with you.

After a week of making coffee cards, I had to set my mind

to something else. I found a great challenge on the

Create with TLC Blog

There was this owl image as a FREEBIE.

You can grab it too, it is

HERE.

Now there is a catch to it:

if you use it on a card and link it up to

the post on Create with TLC you rceive another

freebie in your email and..........

your card willalsobe entered in a drawing for

a $ 10,- certificae in the CTlc store!

For the background see below.

The image is coloredwit pencil and I used

the woodgrain stencil to make the background

to the image.

I made these backgrounds with alcohol ink.

You put a few drops of ink on your craft sheet

and add a few drops of alcohol blending solutions too.

Then with glossy paper you pickup these colors and 

have a beautiful coloredbackground.

The twopapers on the left i run through the big shot with

an embossing folder with a tree image.

For the right paper I took a stencil and added

some texture paste on top, let it air dry and

colored it with expresso ground distress ink.

So with the first image,my theme was set: owls!

It's a Hoot kit. The owl is stamped on some

paper I had lying around and embossed with silver. 

Little yellow gemstones for the eyes. The tree

branch is  a die by Tim Holtz.

And the last card, is my first Christmas card for this year.

I found this cute owl set on Create with TLC and just had to have it!

The image is colored with distress markers.

TJ Emboss Washi tape & CS NSD challenge 2

Today I am combine several issues:

1. participating in the NSD challenge at Club Scrap

2.my Saturday card for the Michael Strong group

3. my daily postings for the Technique Junkies group

So let's start with the Club Scrap challenge:

The teme trough all these challenges is my

woodgrain embossing folder and I liked the post 

from Tricia, Kay and Karen sharing their ideas

about what to do with the foldere HERE.

So I started with technique 1. by Tricia

using dark paper and white ink

When the card was finished it turned out

that this card was also my Saturday card for

the Michael Strong group!

I used Club ScrapAspen papers

Michael Strong's Owl stampand a sentiment Joanne.

Also I did Kay's technique with the gelato's:

Here I used Club Scrap Aspen papers

and It's a hoot ruber stamps.

The owlis colored with pencil.

Now as for the Technique Junkies post,

I chose the Embossed Washi Tape technique from

the Oct/Nov 2013 newsletter

All stamps and papers are Club Scrap's 

Aspen kit. Washi tape from stash.

Now I was having so much fun with my embossing

folder, that I came up with another technique with the gelatos.

Here is a little tutorial:

Color your embossing folder with gelatos

and spray a little water over it.

Add some paper and run it trough your machine.

And look how beautiful it is when you open

the embossing folder.

Quickly wash your embossing folder

to take the gelatos off.

And this is the finished card

with Club Scrap's Aspen papers

and It's a hoot stamps.
