Wat zit er in het doosje?/ What is inside the box?

Natuurlijk wil je weten, wat er in het doosje zit! Het zijn armbandjes, gemaakt met restjes papier van Tilda® en natuurlijk ook kraaltjes. De papieren kralen zijn gemaakt van strookjes gerold om een tandestoker. Ja ja hoor ik je zeggen, dat deden we vroeger ook al! Maar voor wie het niet meer weet, neem een kijkje HIER.

Of course now you want to know what's inside the box. They are bracelets made with left over pieces of Tilda® paper and of cource some beads are added. The paper beads are made of strips of paper rolled around a toothpick. Yes, yes, you will say, I did that way back! But for those of you who do not remember exactly how it works, take a look HERE.

Tilda papier/ Tilda paper

Het Tilda® papier is erg leuk om van alles mee te maken. Zo heb ik er vandaag een cadeau doosje meegemaakt. Je kan er kleine chocolade paaseitjes in doen, maak ook een leuk cadeautje. Hieronder zie je het patroon voor het doosje. Je neemt een leuk scrap papiertje van 30 x 11 cm en vouwt het zoals het patroon laat zien. De rondjes die je ziet, zijn de gaatjes voor het lint.Voor het versieren leg je het weer plat neer. Ben je klaar, dan klap je het dubbel en vallen de gaatjes over elkaat en doe je er een lintje doorheen en zo blijft het doosje dicht.

Tilda® paper is wonderful for making gifts, like this box. You can add little chocolate Easter eggs, but it is also fun for a little gift. Below you see the template of the box. You need a piece of scrap paper 12"x 4,5"and fold it as the template shows. The tiny circles you see are the wholes for the ribbon. Leave it flat for decorating. When finished you fold it double and the the wholes will be on top of each other and you can run a ribbon through and close the box this way.

Frame vouwen/ Frame folding

Vandaag heb ik gespeeld met het leuke nieuwe Tilda® papier van Joan Gevaert Scrapbooking & Rubber Art. Je hebt papier, cut outs, buttons, stempels, stofjes in allerlei zachte tinten. Omdat het papier aan twee kanten bruikbaar is, leek het me leuk om er mee te vouwen. Natuurlijk wil je weten hoe ik dat heb gedaan, daarom hieronder een lesje.

Today I have been playing with the new Tilda® paper from Joan Gevaert Scrapbooking & Rubber Art. In this line there is paper, cut outs, buttons, materials and all in lovely soft tones. Because there is print on both sides of the paper I decided to make these folded frames. And because I know you want to know how to do this I have made a tutorial for you below.

Lesje/ Tutorial

Dit heb je nodig: Tilda® papier, kaart papier, vierkante scallop nestabillity, distress inkt, lijm (of dubbelzijdig plakband), liniaal, potlood en schaar.

This is what you need: Tilda® papers, card paper, square scallop nestabillity, distress inks, glue (or double sided tape), ruler, pencil, scissors.

1. Snij een vierkant papier van 10x10 cm (of elke maat die jij wil) en zoek met een liniaal het midden en zet daar met potlood even een kruisje.

1. Cut a 4x4" square piece of pr (or any size you want) and find the middle of it by using a ruler and a pencil. Mark the middle with your pencil.

2. Vouw alle 4 hoeken naar het middelpunt.

2. Fold all 4 corners to the centre.

3. Vouw nu een hoek een stukje naar buiten zodat de punt over het frame valt. Doe dit voor elke hoek even ver naar buiten. Je kunt natuurlijk ook tot het frame vouwen, maar dan wordt het binnen vierkantje kleiner.

3. Fold  one corner out again so the tip is outside the frame. Fold every corner the same way. You could also fold the tip on the frame, but then the square inside is smaller.

5. Nu ga je de kaart opbouwen met laagjes papier. Ik heb aan de randen wat distress inkt gesponst. Het midden vierkantje is 7x7 cm en hierin kun je naar believe een foto, plaatje of tekst zetten.

5. Now you are going to build the card with layers of paper. I used some distress inks on the edges op the papers. The middel part of the frame is 2,75 x 2,75"and you can add a picture, a photo or a text.
