ATC's and chocolates for Mom

I am over at the Art Neko Blog

with these ATC's, but I want to share them on my own blog too.

These 3 little cards belong together, because together they make

the word MOM.

I created a serie of atc’s for Mother’s Day with some of the images from the Chikanobu Collage Sheet 3. I cut them to the size of 2 x 3 inch so i could use them on the atc’s in combination with some other images. After mounting the iimages to the background (black paper) and an atc card (green, blue and yellow 3,5 x 2,5 inch), I started stamping the teacups, the dragonfly medallion and the Oda Nobunaga Family Crest. All the stamping is embossed with black or gold embossing powder.

The letters that make MOM are die cuts from a Tim Holtz die and glued to the cards after I added a little ink all around each letter. Below you can see them more close up. especially if you click on the picture.

Now what is a card without a little gift on Mother's Day?!

So I added a little decorated chocolate box.

The sentiment is from Stampin'Up!

and the teapot and cups from Art Neko

as well as the ribbon. 

The template for the box is NOT my own

and I wanted to share the link to where I found it,

Unfortunately I cannot find the website anymore.

After cutting the template and adding double sided tape

I added the cocolate before closing the box.

I should have stamped the sentiment before closing the box,

but now I stamped it on paper. The word MOM is done by hand.

The ribbon is folded around the box and taped with red - strong - tape.

The teapot is embossed with blue embossing powder.

An easy project is you need a quick (late) idea.

Tomorrow I have another chocolate box!

Mother's Day inspiration

 Here is some Mothers Day inspiration.

First I share with you a tag I made

with dies of the ideology line by Tim Holtz.

 The background is embossed with a sizzix folder

that I painted with vintage photo distress stain before

embossing. Than I also added some new distress inked

squeezed lemonade and copper perfect pearl mist.

I cut the body with sewing sewing room,

embossed it, added some versamark and 

sprinkled a little white embossing poder on it

and used my heat gun.

The body is decorated with a Michael Strong

mini cloisonné flower embossed in cold and 

a button from the sewing room die.

Also I cut scissor and button with sizzix sewing edge

out of grunge board. Colored the scissor with

weathered wood distress stain and rock candy

stickles on top. Fastend it with a brad on the tag.

Banners decorated with a printed sentiment and

stapled to the tag.

All completed with ribbons on top and 

a cute little wooden spool and asewing

machine charm.

Here is an  another card. This can easily be

used as a gift card and is very easy to make.

I had to make it a little more personal and

used again the Michael Strong mini cloisonné flower.

After cutting out the card, you have 4 corners left of

the backside paper and this is perfect to stamp

the 4 flowers.

 I ambossed them in white, gold, copper and black.

The heart is a gemstone,

Here you see the inside of the card and

also here the flower stamp is used. With vintage photo

I distressed the border of the card and stamped

the flower all around.

 This is the backside of the card.

This card I made for Gingersnaps Creations: GC98 mist.

For this card I used Club Scrap paper

and stamps by Hero Arts, Stampin'Up! and Michael Strong.

Here is a tutorial on how I made the background:

Supplies:

glimmer mist

hairy fibres

white cardstock

heat gun

and a pizza box

Take your hairy fibre and roll it around

the paper you are going to spray.

Put the paper in the pizza box,

shake your glimmer mist

and spray!

Heat set the color before you take of

the fibres.

This is the result of when the fibre is taken off.

Kraanvogel kaart voor Mama/ Crane card for Mom

Orientaalse kaart voor moederdag met de kraanvogels van Michael Strong.

Op internet heb ik het woord voor moeder in het Japans/ Chinees gevonden en hierbij gevoegd. Dit kun je met de rechtermuisknop naar je eigen computer opslaan om te gebruiken.

De vogels zijn op papier met een structuurtje geembossed met zwarte poeder. De achtergrong heb ik gedaan met een embossingfolder en distress inkt.

Oriental card for Mother's Day with the new crane stamps by Michael Strong.
I googled the Japaneese/ Chineese word for Mother on the internet and printed it with the computer. I have added it above for you. Just do the rightmouse click trick and save the character to your own computer to use. The birds have been embossed with black embossing powder on structured paper. The background of the card is done with an embossingfolder and some distress ink.

Boekje voor Mama/ Booklet for Mom

Voor dit boekje heb je nodig:

1 vel van 30x30 cm, en een strook papier van een contrasterende kleur 7 x 25 cm,  foto's en tekeningetjes van je kinderen, fotomats van 14 x 4 cm en natuurlijk lijm, je stempels, lintjes enz om alles te versieren. Dit boekje heeft plaats voor 10 foto's.

To make this booklet, you need:

1 piece of scrap paper 12x12 inch and a strip of contrasting color of 3 x 10 inch, foto's and drawings of your children and photomattes of 3,5 x 5,5 inch and of course glue, ribbons and such to decorate the booklet. You can add 10 pictures to the booklet.

Hier is het vouwschema voor het boekje. Het is handig als je het eerst rilt en dan vouwt. Vouw het vel eerst op 15 cm door de lengte. Voor de breedte verdeel je het om de 5 cm. Aan de linkerkant knip je waar aangegeven het vel 2x in. Nu kun je het geheel gaan vouwen. Eeerst dubbel en daarna de onderkant naar boven en de bovenkant daar overheen, Vouw dan de extra strip eromheen als band.

Here is a template on how to fold the booklet. Start with scoring your paper lengthwise at 6 inch. Horizontal you score every 4 inch. On the left hand side you cut twice where you see the little scissors. Fold the booklet lenthwise. The bootom over the middle and the top towards the bottom. Fold the strip of paper you have around the booklet.

Het papier dat ik hier heb gebruikt is van Club Scrap van April en heet Gratitude.

The papers I have used are by Club Scrap and is the box from April called Gratitude.

Dit is  de voorkant van het boekje. Op de band heb ik een bloem van papieren zakdoekjes gemaakt. Je kan HIER vinden hoe je dat moet doen.

This is the front of the booklet. On the band around the booklet I have made a flower from tissue paper. You can see HERE how to do this.

En hier heb je een kijkje in het boekje, nee het is nog niet af goed gezien, maar gelukkig heb ik nog de hele week!

En here you see the inside of the booklet and yes, it is not completely finished, but luckily I still have the rest of the week to finish it!

National Scrapbook Day

Wat  doe je als het National Scrapbook Day is in Amerika? Dan maak je een pagina. Eienlijk zou het Internationaal Scrapbook Day moeten zijn, maar ja, dat maak ik er dan maar van. Deze pagina is gemaakt met Papier van Club Scrap (Gratitude papier van April 2010), hart stempels van Michael Strong en een sentiment van Hero Arts.

Why not International Scrapbook Day? Well, never mind, I make a page on this day anyway. I used Club Scrap papers (Gratitude April 2010), Michael Strongs big and small heart, and a sentiment by Hero Arts.

Techno Stampers sketch #67

Voor de Techno Stampers sketch #67 heb ik deze keer een kaartje voor moederdag gemaakt.
Ik heb hiervoor stempels van Hero Arts gebruikt. De tekst is van een onbekend merk. Op de bloemen heb ik het nieuwe produkt flower soft gebruikt en een glimmertje als hartje van de bloem. For the Techno Stampers sketch #67 I made this mothersday card with Hero Arts stamps. The text is by an unknown firm. I used flower soft on the flowers and a gemstone for the heart.

Credit kaart mapje/ Credit card holder

Dit mapje is gevouwen en gemaakt om er een cadeau credit kaartje in te kunnen doen. Het is zowel voor Vader- als Moederdag geschikt, maar ook als je gewoon een cadeau wil geven. Je maakt het van een papier uit je printer, of je neemt een leuk papier dat je op die maat maakt.
Laat je kind het geheel versieren. Behalve het vouwpatroon, heb ik ook een filmpje gemaakt over het vouwen. Ik hoop dat het helpt.

Klik met je rechtermuis knop om het plaatje naar je computer te halen en te printen.

This folder is made to insert a present of a credit card. It can be made for Father's Day of Mother's Day, but also for a birthday present. You need a piece of paper out of your printer (or cut some decorated paper to that size). Let your child decorate it. You see the folding template above, but I also made a video about the folding. I hope it helps.

Moederdag/ Mothers' Day
