Sunday Scrap page: Job

Weekly Chronicles theme this week
at Club Scrap is: my job
and as I work at a flower company
I thought the Wisteria kit
and Michael Strong's tulip stamps
are the right choice for this page.

Here you see a basket of tulips.
The tulips are embossed in green and purple
and colored with distress stains, then
cut out and glued to the background
with a few gemstones.

The background is made with a
Club Scrap  stencil and more
of Mike's tulip stamps combined with
some leave stamps.
I used distress ink shaded lilac.

Here you can have a closer look at my text box.
Made with the computer and shaded with the same ink and
the smal tulip stamp.

Have a creative day!

Saturday Sketch card: Cat

Here is the sketch for the September
sketch challenge at the
Michael Strong Stampgroup
on yahoo you find it here:
on facebook you find it here:

This is the finished card.
The background is done with a stencil very lightly
walnut stain distress ink and a blender tool.
I used
and colored it with distress markers and water.
Sticky gemstones are used to embellish the cat
and give it a little bling.

The sentiment on the card is a digital sentimentby
Create with TLC printed with the computer.

The banner strip is made with a gelli plate,
acrylic paint and a paw embossing folder.
Here you see some samples I made.
This is the paper i used. I have some left for another card.
It is really fun to use the embossing folders for the gelli plate.
I found out about it on the sizzix blog HERE..
You are welcome to print my page and use it too.

Have a creative day!

a compilation CD of all of the tutorials from the October 2012
through August 2013 issues.
We are so excited to have you join us.

You should have arrived here from Shelly‘s blog.
She always has such wonderful artwork.

The CD includes 10 bonus techniques that are only found on the CD.
All of the tutorials are in PDF format, so they print perfectly on regular paper,
for both PCs and Macs. With the bonus tutorials, there are 100 tutorials on this CD!
It is available for order TODAY by clicking here:
The CD will be shipped in less than 2 weeks!
New on this CD:
This CD contains a pictorial index that you can print out -- each of the 100 tutorials on the CD are represented with pictures in the index.
It has been designed to make it easier than ever to find a tutorial on the CD:

OK, so far all the information,
but I guess you came to see some inspiration.
My project uses the "Lumiere Spread" technique
and because today is also the Jewish New Year
(Rosh Hashana) I have some Jewish cards for you.
The luniere paint makes wonderful backgrounds,
but what if you don't have this paint?
You can also use mica magic or Club Scrap's
metallic reinkers. I think there is much to experiment.
This is what I have used:
and these bottles worked perfectly.
The papers that you make are perfect for backgrounds
,embossing and stamping on.

Now this beehive card is my Jewish new Year card
to wish all my Jewish friends a very sweet
and creative New Year.

I saw this kind of card in one of my magazines and
made a template. Here it is in case you like the idea too!
I cut it out of cardstock and in three segments.
On top i stamped with a Tim Holtz stamp,
the middle part is embossed Lumiere Spread technique
and the bottomis a stencil by Michael Strong.

When all the pieces are finished you adhere them to the card.
On the card you see some bees, they belong to the
Hannah's Busy Bee stampset by Michael Strong.
As you can see the card is folded on the bottom
so it can stand alone. A strip is in
the middle with the New Year's wish.
The text is printed with the computer.
At the end of the strip is a horizontal
piece of paper so the strip doesn't slip out.
Another sample card with
the image stamped onto the lumiere spread background.
Archivalblack is a great inkpad
to use for this kind of stamping.

The star and the sentiment are from a stampset
by Stampin'Up! called  Jewish Celebrations.

Well stampers, that was it from me for today.
I hope you are inspired to grab the CD and if not,

there is more to see on your
 next stop on Pat’s blog.
Go and see what wonderful project she has in store for you.
If you get lost, you can find all participants at the

Sunday Scrap page: Beach

The theme for this week at Club Scrap's
Weekly Chronicles was Back to school,
but I had nothing that fits the theme, so I used
these wonderful pictures my daughter emailed to me.

The papers are from Club Scrap's
Come Sail Away kit from last year.

And the shell and sea star stamp and die
are by Michael Strong. They are embossed with
different colors and colored with distress ink.
Little circle gold stickers are added to the
shells and sea star.

On the page you also see the use of a
punchinella template with white ink.

Thanks for looking,
see you next week!

Have a creative day!

More cards for Rosh Hashanah

My friend Paulette from Create with TLC
created this wonderful Subway art piece
for the Jewish New Year.
You can use this to make some easy last minute
cards for sending to your loved ones.

You can find it in her shop here:

The easiest way is just to print it postcard size and
add your wish and address on the backside.

You can also add it to your emailand send it to your friends.

Or resize it and make some
real cards with it.
I made 4 cards in 45 minutes!
This is what I needed:
a honecomb template
mustard seed distress ink
some stamps
ribbon
cardstock

For all the cards I used the honeycomb
template (Michael Strong) as a background
for honey is very important on the
table for Rosh Hashanah.

The apple stamp is Posh Impressions
and I used two colors on the stamp
The penny black bee is colored with pencil
and the wings are accentuated
 with gold glitter glue.

The honey jar is also a penny black stamp.

The stars of david are a Stampin'Up! stamp.

I can tell you:
grab this digital stamp.
It is only $ 1,25!

Have a creative day!
