Happy Earth Day

 Today is EARTH DAY
and this is the scrap page I made to
celebrate this day.

Want to know more about the origin of
Earth Day? Take a look here.

For this page I used Club Scrap paper
from the Blossom kit.
The cranes are stamps by Michael Strong .
I embossed them with purple embossing powder and
used my blending tool with green and pink
to color them.

Blossom always makes me think of Japaneese
Cherry Blossom pictures. They are always so beautiful,
so that is why I added the cranes.

TSSC 217

Today I was inspired to make this card when I had seen the
Right away I had this idea.
For this card I used Michael Strong's
On the left side i stamped the background stamp
with versamark on the silver paper
and embossed it with silver embossing powder.
 The sentiment is by
with a few little gemstones.
The flower is stamped with versamark and embossed
with black embossing powder. The flower is colored with
purple and orange distress ink with a blending tool.

Stamp Present

An  birthday card today
and I show you how I did this.
 What do you nees:
- scalloped square spellbinder
- mini flower die Michael Strong
- paper, ribbon and brad
- versamark and embossing powder
 1. Stamp square stamp on a piece of scrap paper
or a self made background with versamark and
emboss with any color you fancy. i used orange today.
2. Cut matching scalloped square and mini
flower die from matching paper.
3. Half way the square add a piece of ribbon.
Stick it to the back with tape. Attache the
cut out flower (being the bow) with a brad.
4. Glue everything to the scalloped square.
You can make as many presents for your card
as you wish. I choose to make two.

Stamp&Doodle

Thursday is technique day
And for the technique of today
I was inspired by a video I found on youtube:
The background of the card is made with distress stains
and just like I showed you in my
Sunday tutorial for the blog hop.
(go HERE)
If you want, you can also print out my background and use
it for your card.
The stamps I used are the large and small
I stamped those with blach Archival ink
on the background and doodled with
a thin black marker.Because Michael's stamp
also looks doodled, it is hard to see what was the stamp
and what did I doodle.
The pot I stamped on a separete piece of  white
cardstock and embossed with black embossing powder.
I used rangers blending tools to color the pot with the same
color of distress ink as I used on the distress stain.

The pot is cut out and on the back a piece of
foam tape. Now you may wonder how the flower
got over the pot, when it was stamped on
the background. I used my exacto knife to
cut the two leaves of the flower, so I could fold it
over the pot to look more real.

TH 12 Tags: April

Today my envelop from the
Vagabond promotion on the
Sizzix Blog arrived.

Thank you so much.
You want to know where my Vagabond is?
I am # 215.

Today I had my vagabond out
to use my bird cage die for
the April tag of Tim Holtz
Here is my version of the April tag.
It took some thinking of what to do without the
bird on the branch die.
But i do like the April Shower idea, so I got the
ubrella man stamp out.
The bird is from the birdcage die and colored with
distress ink. The crown is out of metal with the little
crown die (one of the little shape dies).
The umbrella man is stamped in archival black on
kraft paper and covered with glossy accent.
The text is printed on kraft paper with the
computer and colored with distress ink.

I love the use of the embossing folder and the
mirrored stamp. It gives the background such a great look.
Thanks Tim for another great tutorial.
Have a creative day!

So here are some very cute ones.

The little princes is a digital stamp by Bugaboo
and the subway art is a FREEBIE by Create with TLC
The little punched out flowers i had left over from my Sunday post.
The number stamp embossed in pink is from
the punch&spell  numbers by Michael Strong.
This one is with the same princess and I made her skirt
3d and added pink glittery stickles and gemstones on her crown.
The pink embossed hearts are also by Michael Strong.

Happy Birthday Paulette

 Surprise!!!

Happy Birthday Paulette!

This is a blog hop for you
from all of us from the Design Team of
We all made you a birthday
card with a wonderful image from you.

Want to know how I did this?
I started with saving (right mouse click) this wonderful
image to my computer.
It was here for 24 hours (now you can buy it in
the Create with TLC digi shop HERE)
Next  take a few distress stain colors and a non-stick
craft sheet. Put some drops of the stains on the sheet.
Hold the printed side of the paper towards the sheet
and wipe some ink on the paper.
This is how it looks. If some parts are not covered wipe it again.

When satisfied, dry it with your heat gun.
Take a brush and use some left over drops to
give the flowers and the leaves some extra color.
With a drop of bleach i colored the dove white.
Also the hearts of the flowers.
From a piece of cut of some small flowers are punched
for the dove panel in the image. They are added to
the branches with little brads.
The next card you will find on
Carla's blog
at:

Have a wonderful and creative day!
