Welcome to another day of the
Today i have this cut cup holder for you.
It uses those cute little mini cups.
I made this one for the Jewish New Year
(which is October 3 and 4)
and inside there is some candy.
For the Jewish New Year we eat
sweet apples with honey to wish each other
a very happy and very sweet new year.
So you see the honeycomb and the bees
as decoration for my cup.
The papers and the bee stamps are by
Club Scrap and is this month kit called Garden Shed.
So you need a strip of cardstock (a bit sturdy is better)
of 2,5 x 11 inch and a piece of 2,5 x 4,5 inch.
The long strip is for the cupholder and the smaller strip you
ad to the back if you want to make an envelope to add
a card inside with a wish or a giftcard.
The long strip is scored at 4,5 - 7 . 7 3/4 - and 10 1/4.
You also have to use a die to cut the hole for the cup.
Fold everything and tape A to B and the cupholder is ready.
Decoration is up to your taste.
I added a Jewish sentiment for Happy New Year
and at the bottom I used the stencil from the Club Scrap kit
with the wish for peace and joy.
The cup is decorated with little bee's colored with yellow
and a little bling on the wings.
The wooden stick also came from the kit and i stamped the word
celebrate on it. This is from a Stampin'Up! set.
After i finished this, i suddenly had more ideas for making them.
I had a workshop the next day and used these cupholders for
a bit of candy for the students and also for giving them
my business card. As I did not want to hide this, I did not
make the envelop, but a strip around the back where I could
enter my card.
I punched a hole at the top and added a ribbon.
Oh to be honest, I used 12 by 2,5 inch strips for this,
using scrap paper of 12 x12 so I could make 4.
Thank you very much for looking
and I hope you come back again tomorrow.
