Club Scrap Surprise Color Blocking

Welcome to my post for the
Januari Surprise Linky Party.

Here my contribution with this month's technique
Color Blocking. You find the original post about
this technique HERE
Mt cards are made with the digital Surprise kit
and my stash of Club Scrap papers.

Form my color blocking cards I printed these
backgrounds from the Surprise Hybrid kit.

Got out some papers from my stash to be
cards and background panels.

Then I stacked the printed papers and
cut them all three together.

Next I divided the papers over the 3 panels
and realized these 3 color blocking backgrounds.
With each background I created a different card.

Card #1
The sentiments you see on the cards
came with the digital kit and were printed
on heavy white paper. Ribbon from my
CS stash (I think it might be from the
Greece kit) and the balloons are punched
out from the many scraps I have saved.
On top of the balloons there are some white
circles stamped, like there are in the
background paper.

Card #2
Same background, different sentiment
and hemp thread. The party hat is a punch
as well as the muffin.

The muffin is made with a punch builder
from Stampin'Up! and Club Scrap paper scraps.

Card #3
For this card yet again a different sentiment
and ribbon. To emphasize the confetti
I added some sequins in different
colors to the card.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Club Scrap January Sketch

Here is my card for the sketch challenge on the
Club Scrap Forum. For my card I used some left
over papers and stamps from the Trattoira kit (Nov 2017).

This is the sketch and if you are a member on
the forum you find the sketch here.

For the card I used a strip of the cut apart and made it into
squares. The pizza is from the digital kit and colored in
Photoshop. I printed it twice and added the pizza with foam tape.
The sentiment is cut out of glitterfoam and glued to the background.

Here you see the inside of the card, were the white
paper is decorated with the unmounted stamps
that came with this kit.

Hope to see you again tomorrow, when there  will
be sharing of projects with the Club Scrap
January Surprise kit.

Thank you for looking and
 have a cretive day!

Cupcake and Valentine

Many of my friends have wedding anniversaries on
Valentine's Day and so I created this card with digital
images from Create with TLC and Photoshop.

I used the colors of this week's
color inspiration on the

First I created the middle panel with the vintage heart and
the background paper, changing the colors in photoshop
matching the color challenge. The paper in the
background is from a designer paper block.

The "love you" sentiment is a FREEBIE on the
Create with TLC blog HERE. The black paper is cut with
a vintage photo border scissor. and Finally I added some
SU! sticky sequins.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Here my card with digital images made in Photoshop
and ribbon and button by DL.ART for the progressive'
challenge on the Limited Runs digital stamp blog.

Next I found the Flower Shop image in my
Create with TLC Valentine file

Then with two different stencils I decorated the
background with vintage photo distress ink.

The ribbon is first added to double sided tape
to make it easy tho add it ruffled to the card.
The button is by DL.ART.
the hearts of the flower are coverd with glossy accent.

And here is the inside of the card.
The sentiment is also by Create with TLC
and around it i used the Tim Holtz heart stencil
with red ink.

Viva La Verve January Sketch

One of my favorite sketches are those by
Julee Tilman from Verve Stamps.
She has so many wonderful digital and
real coffee stamps. Yes, I do have quite a few,
but recently I got this new digital "All my LOVE"
digital set and I used it for my card today.

You find the sketch on the
and many more beautiful samples.

So the background papers are from an old
design paper block by Echo Park. and they are
perfect for the Valentine theme of the card.
The heart is a thinlit by Stampin'Up! .

I added the sentiment inside the cup with Photoshop
befor I printed it. The cup is covered with glossy accent.
The button and the ribbon are by DL.ART.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Freshly Made Sketches #321

This week you will see a lot of ribbons on my card,
as I am a guest designer on the DL.ART Blog and
Diana has those fantastic ribbons, that are especially
wonderful on Valentine cards.
You find the ribbons in her shop HERE.

For my card today I was inspired by the sketch on

What did I use for my card?
The images are from one of the new digital stamp sets by Verve Stamps.
I used the "All my LOVE" digital set that is now only $ 3,50
(and comes with 16 images).

After printing and coloring (zig markers) the images,
I added them to the design paper background
and added glossy accent to the coffee cups.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Valentine Tag

Yesterday I told you I was a guest designer
at the DL.ART Blog and I received these
wonderful ribbons and buttons to play with.
Enough ribbon and buttons left to make more.

Today I share this tag with you with
an image I found on the Create with TLC blog
as a free download.

I started out with coloring the background with
Walnut Stain distress Ink and Broken  China.
Then I took a Tim Holtz heart stencil
and colored some red hearts on top of this background.

Next I printed the sweet Valentine image
from the Create with TLC Blog and glued it
to the tag. The heart is left over from the die cut
I used yesterday. A paper flower decorates the heart.
Of course on top the wonderful ribbon.

On the bottom of the image I also added some ribbon.
I used double sided tape on the back of the ribbon
and this way it was easy to make the folds and tape it down.
The button is added with fom tape and
a few more paper roses.

DL.ART Valentine

Today I share a card I made with some wonderful
goodies I received from Diana Larson as she asked me
to be a guest artist for this week on her blog for
Dhe has the most wonderful hand dyed crincle ribbons
and lately she also has these wonderful buttons in her shop.

For my card I used various products.
For the background I used the sweet candy heart
embossing folder. The  xoxo paper
is an old paper block from Stampin'Up!

The center panel is decorated with the tiny heart paper
from the same Stampin'Up! paperblock.
The heart die cut is also Stampin'Up! and here you
also see the beautiful red crinkle ribbon and one of the
Love Flair buttons (set 1) from Diana Larson.

The sentiment is from Club Scrap (Fizz kit
January 2007).

As you can see I have lots of ribbon left and also
some of the buttons, so you will see some more
soon this week.

3 Challenges in one

For my card today I combined many challenges.
First I noticed the stash and tool challenge
My old stash from the Fizz kit January 2007
and matching stamps too.
Tools are circle die and punch and postage stamp die .
And a small heart punch too.

I also used 2 sketches.
The first one is from the Saturday Sketch Blog

and when I started making my card I found a stamp that
was perfect to use for the sketch on the

I found this cirle stamp that was just perfect for the challenge.
I cut ut the circles inside with a circle punch.

The I used the postage die and ran the panel
trough the embossing machine with a hearts die.
In the background velum and baker's twine.
When all was glued together I added a felt
circle cut with circle die and stamped  sentiment
from the Fizz unmounted dies.

Thank you for looking
and have a creaitive day!
