Working on Christmas cards

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am working on my Tim Holtz Christmas cards.
I was in a way inspired by one of the live tutorials by Tim on Facebook.
If you have missed them, you can see all the tutorials on

I started with making my own splatterbox for
the backgrounds of my cards.
I made my backgrounds with speckled egg and
cracked pistachio.
Here you see the finished and dried  backgrounds.

On top I used several of Tim Holtz stencils
with distress ink. Here I used the new eustic wildernes

and here i used speckled egg distress oxide ink.

On top of the stenciled background I stamped a
sentiment for Christmas (Handwritten Holidays 1 and
mini handwritten Holidays)
and a tiny cardinal, that I colored with zig markers.

When all done I added  walnutstain distress oxide
all around the panel.

The panel is finished of with red and white baker's twine.

Or with yellow and white baker's twine.

Thank you Tim Holtz for all your inspiration.

Thanks for looking,
stay safe and'
keep crafting!

Gnomes in the Coffeehouse

Today I combined the new Club Scrap Coffeehouse hybrid kit

So I startedwith stamping the gnomes
and coloring them with zig markers.

After coloring the gnomes were cut out for
further use.
Card #1
For this card I made the coffeering background
with photoshop and the Coffeehouse hybrid kit.
the other images I printed and cut out to use for this card.

The tag is added with bakers twine to the cup
and for extra dimention sticky pearls are added.

Even gnomes need coffee, right?!

Card #2
For this card the sentiment is also from the
Gnome rubber stampset (unfortunately not available anymore).
For this card I used the same coffeering background.

This gnome is having a warm coffee bath.
It looks like he is enjoying warm feet.

So there are two gnomes left for
more cards. See you soon!

Thanks for looking
and have a latte creative day!

Bugaboo Bingo Challenge

Over at the Bugaboo blog
it is BINGO time!
Here my card with:
a sentiment, a sparkle abd a Bugaboo image.

For my card I used the Bugaboo Brat School - Apple
image for my card. I changes the big apple into a pumpkin.
The image is colored with pencil.
Behind the image you see some printed (Club Scrap)
design paper and green/gold baker's twine.
The sparkle are a few sticky gemstones.

The sentiment is a digital sentiment printed by
the computer by Create with TLC.

Suddenly I had an idea for a coffee variation
(just could not resist ;-) )
The cup is a Lawn Fawn die
and the apple is a paper punch by SU!

Brentwood dressing up!

I absolutely adore this image of Brentwood by JessicaLynn.
She made many freebies for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop
and now she dressed him up for the 4th of July.

This image is a digital stamp, you download it to  your computer
and can use it any size you want. Print it and color and use on your card.

You can find Brentwood Owl 4th of July in
JessicaLynn's digital stamp shop here.

I colored the image of Brentwood with Stampin'blends and
cut out the image. The background is made with  candied apple
and mermaid lagoon distress oxide inks in the direct to paper
technique. On top i stamped some stars in the same color.
The sentiment is by Tim Holtz. After wrapping the baker's
twine around the panel, i added Brentwood with a piece of foam
tape on top of the baker's twine.

For the 2nd card I started making the background with the
stars embossing folder. I added the ink to the embossing
folder and a little water before running the folder and the paper
through the big shot. The ribbons aew hand dyed ribbons
by DL.ART and the sentiment is by Create with TLC.
(if you enter 4th of July in the search box there are more
sentiments!)

The image and sentiment are colored with pencils.

Ok, I just had to make one with coffee!!
I made the background with several Tim Holtz stencils
and the same distress oxide inks as above.
I stamped some beans from my stash as well
as the cup. Everithing is colored with SU! stampin'blends.
The sentiment is made up with part of a STAMPlorations
stamp and a Tim Holtz stamp.
The stars are sequins and hard to photograph the bling.

This image was made in Photoshop with a background
and sentiments by Create with TLC.
Brendwood Owl is also colored in Photoshop.

Hope I have given you some ideas for this wonderful stamp.
She has an offer now: buy one and get one free!

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Last Christmas cards for Limited Runs Progressive Challenge #22

So here are my last Christmas cards!
Here is the first card with the fun elf and his candy cane.
So happy I had some candy cane paper for the
background.

I hadto use this fun elf for the progressive
challeng on the Limited Runs Facebookgroup
to get a new image for the next challenge.

My 2nd card was inspired by a card I
found on Pinterest, i just changed it to my way to use.
You find the card and video HERE.
The elf is colored with pencil on both cards.
The candycane paper and the sentiment are
both by Stampin'Up!.

You can lift the sentiment from behand the
baker's twine and this way the card opens up.

Now you can write your message on the card.
it is fun to leave the message behind the image.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!
