Cupcake Inspirations #440

Happy Sunday!
Today my card is for a white color challenge.
As I have been having the flu for over a week
and not touched any coffee, I could resist making
a coffee card.

My card is for this color challenge on the

For my card I started out making the background
with 2 embossing folders. On top of the panel I used
the coffee bean folder. The words you see are stickers
out of a Tim Holtz sticker book.

At the bottom of the card I used the new Sizzix
coffee ring folder. The ribbon is from my favorite
DL.ART store from my friend Diana Larson.

The cup is cut out of white paper with thinlits
from Stampin'Up! and decorated with paper flowers
and a button in the heart of the flower.
I used a little fossilized amber oxide distress in
around the back panel and the cup, kind of
cake color.

and have a creative day!

After i finished my card yesterday, I was in the mood for
making another card with the same colors.
They were on my desk anyway!

Here the colorchallange again from the

I used these colors of oxide distress ink.

For the background i also used a stencil like on my card yesterday,
just not the hert stencil, but one with roses (forgot to make another picture).

For this card I used these fun tea cups by Verve Stamps.
I colored the cups  first with the distress oxide ink and
with the matching distress markers.

The sentiment is also by Verve Stamps.
The green ribbon is by DL.ART.

On top of the cups you see the enameled dots
in the matching colors of the cup at the heart of the flower.

Dog for Chinese New Year

Did you know the Chinese New year is in Febuary?
To be percise it is Febuary 16 and it is the start of
the Year of the Dog.
For this you find a wonderful FREEBIE on the blog
of Michael Strong HERE.
Thank you very much, Mike!!!

So I downloaded the image and for this first quick
card, i colored the image in Photoshop and cut it
out with scissors. The card is 5"x 5" and for the
background I use the Tim Holtz rays stencil with
red ink. Then I cut out the circle and added some red ink too.
Around the black strip of paper I added the red ribbon
from my Diana Larson stash.
The chinese dog character is a stamp.

Viva La Verve January Sketch

One of my favorite sketches are those by
Julee Tilman from Verve Stamps.
She has so many wonderful digital and
real coffee stamps. Yes, I do have quite a few,
but recently I got this new digital "All my LOVE"
digital set and I used it for my card today.

You find the sketch on the
and many more beautiful samples.

So the background papers are from an old
design paper block by Echo Park. and they are
perfect for the Valentine theme of the card.
The heart is a thinlit by Stampin'Up! .

I added the sentiment inside the cup with Photoshop
befor I printed it. The cup is covered with glossy accent.
The button and the ribbon are by DL.ART.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Freshly Made Sketches #321

This week you will see a lot of ribbons on my card,
as I am a guest designer on the DL.ART Blog and
Diana has those fantastic ribbons, that are especially
wonderful on Valentine cards.
You find the ribbons in her shop HERE.

For my card today I was inspired by the sketch on

What did I use for my card?
The images are from one of the new digital stamp sets by Verve Stamps.
I used the "All my LOVE" digital set that is now only $ 3,50
(and comes with 16 images).

After printing and coloring (zig markers) the images,
I added them to the design paper background
and added glossy accent to the coffee cups.
