Happy Thanksgiving!

With this card I wish all my American friends a
Happy Thanksgiving!
Even though we do not celebrate this in The Netherlands
I love making these cards for my friends.

For this card I used:

Michael Strong's digital pumpkin image
Michael Strong's alphabet stamps
leave stencil
rays stencil
Michael Strong's circle from the cloisonné accent stamps
CTMH sentiment stemps (inside)

On the front pannel I used some stencils and stamps
for the background of this card.

The word in a window is a Technique Junkie
technique from the Ocober/ November Newsletter.

The pumpkin imag I printed 4 times, cut out
and folded themin half and glued one half to the other
to have this dimentional pumpkin.

Here you see the inside of the card.
I added some sentiments and leaves (Club Scrap)
from the December 2013 Aspen kit.

Hope you all have a wonderful
and grateful Thanksgiving.

Have a creative day!

Club Scrap Blog Hop: LAKES

Welcome to another wonderful and inspirational

I hope you have seen what the inventive Tricia has come up
with this time on her Efficient Crafters Blog.

With these beautiful papers ist is easy to envision many projects.
It always seems to me that they know what you need at Club Scrap.
As you might have seen from my previous post and pictures,
we do have a boat and live close to a lake, so what better kit
could I have wanted! Thanks Club Scrap!!
So as I am busy making my Christmas card,I thought
my idea could also work for this kit. I have been making
these tea light easel cards. I found some wonderful instructions
online HERE if you like to give this a try too.
This is behind our house: The Westeinder Lake.

The card can be send flat and  when received
lift it up and it will stand behind the anchor
that is glued to the card with thick double sided tape.

When the artificial light is put behind the window,
it makes a wonderful scenery card.

When you have a few of them it is really nice to look
 at the cardsin the evening

This is how the card looks when it is all flat.

When you open the card you see this, even
decorated on the inside.

I made the waves with a piece op post-it
that pas torn and I added inkt and moved it down to create
more waves. I love the dots that came with this kit.

Of course I made a Christmas variation too!
The Christmas stamps I used are from
an unmounted set from 2007 called
A Very Groovy Christmas

Sunday Surprise: Blog Candy

I have something else to share with you!
has 4 new stamps in his online
webshop and he send me some extra's!!
So I have some delicious
BLOG CANDY
Have you seen all the new stamps?
sentiment on this card is by Create with TLC

I was wondering which one is
your favourite?
Leave your comment here and YOU might
win your favourite stamp.
You have all week to make your choice
and I will announce the winner
next Sunday.

Today I share this card with you with the snowman stamp
and a sentiment from  from Mike's word & phrases stamp set.

Are you wondering how I did the blue/brown background?
Very simple: First I stamped the snowman ornament in
versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder.
Then  I used a few blue bistre grains on my craft
sheet, added a few drops of water and used the pannel
direct to the craft sheet to get the color on the paper.
Dried it with  my heatgun and that is all. This way
you can make afew cardsin a short amount of time.

On top I made a hole to add a piece of turquoise ribbon.

Behind the ornament pannel I used a piece of white paper,
that I embossed with a swiss dot embossing folder.
It gives an extra touch to the card. Papers are from
Club Scraps November Lakes pizza box. Yummy colors!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to
leave a comment with your favourite
of Michael Strong's new stamps!

But... if you can't wait to WIN a stamp
you can always order them here  in  the webshop
and start making Christmas cards with them!

Creative greetings,

Tim Holtz tag:November Anniversary

Today is my 15th Wedding Anniversary to
the love of my life:  Raymond and inspired
by the November tag by Tim Holtz
I made this tag my Anniversary tag:
Thank you, my dear, for
15 wonderful years
xxx

I want to share with you how I made this tag:
Things I used:
tag
corrugated card board
distress paint and spray
versamark, clear embossing powder
Michael Strong heart stamp

I started with stamping the heart stamp on the tag
with versamark and adding clear embossing powder.
Then heating it with the heatgun.

On apiece of scrap paper (larger then the tag) I stamped
the heart stamp in red. This way I could see the lines well
and cut out the heart.

The open heart was laid over the stamped tag for
the placement of the heart and I cut the scrap paper
exactly the size of the tag.Now i put it on the corrugated
bord and after tracing the heart with a pencil,
I cut out the heart in the board.

Now to color the tag with the direct to paper technique.
Adding color on my craft sheet and spraying it with water,
the palette is ready for coloring.

Put the tag face down on the craft sheet to add the color.
You need to do this a few times for a complete
covering of the tag.

Tag ready for the next step.
Corrugated card bord is next to
get ready by starting to tear some of the
paper of the tag.

Coloring the board with festive berries on top
and around the tag.

Finishing it of with red and gold distress spray.
When tag and board are completely dre I glued
them together and decorated the tag

with the ticket, the numbered paper clips,
an arrow and some red tinsel twine.

On top a red ribbon and a clock for I hope
we will have lots more time together!
Thanks for looking!

Have a creative day!
