Happy Mother´s Day!

These are strange times and visiting my Mother
in the care home for Mother´s Day is still a no go.
So my brother and i went on Friday to bring my Mom
a card and flowers. We had to stay behind the glass
and she was inside (hard for her to understand).

So here my card, for I do hope we soon can have a cup of
tea together and not behind glass!
I also made this card with some of the left overs from
papers I made with my gelli plate for the challenge on the
Club Scrap Chat on Facebook.

Here my cut out for the card.

I started making the background with the teabag stamp
from Club Scrap special kit Infusion (2014) and
white embossing powder for a resist technique.

Coloring the paper with walnut stain distress oxide ink.

Here the finished background pannel.
The white teabags came out beautiful.

So this is my sentiment of the day
in good hope that we soon can do this again.

Happy Mother's Day to all
mother's, grandmothers and great grandmothers!

Thanks for looking,
stay safe
and keep crafting!

Simon Says: Add Some Red

Here a tag for 2 challenges:
1. Add Some Red on the

2. Make a project with the 2012
paint resist technique in the

As i do not have the white paint (now I need it!!)
I used white embossing powder after I stamped
the hearts and the text with versamark.

After the embossing powder was heated I colored
my tag with candied apple red oxide distress ink.
The heart and the love are cut out with dies
by Stampin'Up!

Here you see the finished tag all done up.

I used the rosette and the Valentine tiny
envelop on top of the heart.

"YOU"was cut out one of the alphabet strips and
the borders were added with stapples to the tag.
In the middle if the strips I added waxed black thread
with some red glass beads between knots.

Thank you for looking and
have a creative day!

Art Neko Birthday Card

Today my card is for the color challenge on

Here you see the inspiration for the card.

For my card I used Art Neko stamps
Forget Me Not background stamp
Love Birds stamp
Happy Birthday sentiment

The background is stamped on white paper with versamark and
embossed with clear embossing. Next the red color is added
and the embossing powder works as a resist. With a soft cloth
I cleaned off the ink from the flowers.

Next I stamped the Love Birds in black on a seperate piece
of paper and added the sentiment. Then I cut it out and glued it to
a piece of black paper and cut it out again with a border.
After adding the ribbon around the background, the birds
were added with foam tape on top.
After making the card for the challenge, I made some other card
and noticed I still used the same colors. It is a wonderful
color combination.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Inspiration for Chinese New Year: The Year of the Rooster

On January 28 the Chinese New Year takes place and
their years always have the name of an animal.
This year will be the Year of the Rooster.

Here you find some more information about the
signifigance of the rooster and if you where born
in a year of the rooster and what it means for you.
This card looks complicated, but below I explain
how to do it and you notice how easy it is.

I used:
The Year of  the Rooster stamp from Art Neko
Holiday Greetings also from Art Neko

Start with stamping the rooster with versamark ink at
random on the background panel. Emboss it with white
embossing powder.

Now color the paper with red and orange ink
with a blending tool The white embossing powder
works as a resist.

Take the sentiment and stamp with black ink.
Finally add some drops of water. Heat set.

Stamp the center piece with the rooster in black ink and color
with pencil. To assemble the card wrap some red/white
twine around the background panel, add the rooster with foam tape.
The happy new year is stamped on a piece of white paper and cut
into 3 pieces and looks like the rooster is shouting it.

For this card I used the same rooster stamp and here the
background is even more easy!

I used a piece of matt silver paper for the back panel.
Stamping the rooster at random with black ink.

For the center piece I embossed the rooster in red.
On the silver background I added some silver holographic
sequins to add some bling to the card.

Thanks so much for looking
and have a creative day!

Owl be scrappin'

Today I have a scrap page for you.
The papers are all by Club Scrap (Papillon kit).
The sentiment on top is by Create with TLC
and down at the bottom are stamps by Michael Strong.

In the background you see some cute little owls and that is a sweet
little clear set by Hero Arts
How did I do this?
I stamped the images with versamark on glossy paper.
Then I took my brayer and  a Kaleidacolor
inkpad Berry Blaze and rolled the color over the images.
Take a paper towel and rub the ink from the images.
The words I stamp with black ink at the end.

This owl is made with my new Cricut cartridge.
I am so happy using it and it is so much fun!

Scrapping with resist technique

Het lijkt me dat deze pagina zijn eigen verhaal wel verteld!
Ik heb op deze pagina de resist techniek gebruikt, die je
in het lesje van gisteren terug vindt.

This page tells it's own story I think.
I used the resist stamping technique from the
tutorial in yesterdays post.

supplies:
Paper and some stamps: Club Scrap
Ribbon and brads: Club Scrap
Cat and paisley stamps: Michael Strong
Cat sentiment: Create with TLC
Flowers from stash.

Have a creative day!
