Christmas decorations with Funky Fossil Designs

Hello Crafty Friends!
I have been creating a few Christmas decorations for
a friend and my grandchildren.
I found these wonderful wooden stars in the
Action shop here in The Netherlands. I got the
idea right away to decorate them with some stamped images.
The first one is for my friend Donna, who is the designer
of the Hogs and Kisses stampset that you find on the site of

The second one is for my eldest grandson Owen.
For this snowflake I used the  stampset
Space Cadet. The numbers are cut out of
gold oaoer with number dies from my stash,

And the last one is for the twins Colin and Aiden.
Two little piggies on one star. Besides the Hoggs And Kisses
stamps set, I used a Tim Holtz Santa hat and stars and
holly from the Christmas Characters set.
On the snowflake I added lots of tiny sticky gemstones.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas
and stay safe, thanks for looking
and keep crafting!

Freshly Made Sketches #367

I made this card for the Freshly Made Sketches Blog
with Tim Holtz Christmas papers
and a Michael Strong Christmas tree.

As this is such a fun sketch, I made two cards.
When I went back to add my card, I noticed
there was a DT Call, so I would love to be on
the DT of the Freshly Made Sketches. They always
have lovely sketches, that I like to use multiple times.

About my 2nd card:
The background is made with kraft paper, that
I painted with some acryl paint. The I added the snowflakes
with a tim Holtz stencil and broken china oxide
distress ink. The sentiment is a very vintage SU!
stamp and the snowflake a die cut.

Thank you very much for looking
and have a creative day!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop day 1

Welcome to another fun week for
coffee/tea and chocolate lovers!

The blog hop is here again and that means sharing
your own cards, projects etc with this theme
and share it on the
and you might win one of the wonderful prizes.
You can share every day or as many times as you wish
in the week of November 30 until December 7.

For my first project I have used some digital
images from Create with TLC.

For my gift pocket I used the free images
that you can find HERE. The pocket is exactly
the right size for a gift card.
The background paper is also one that I have from
Create with TLC's winter collection.
The piece I had to cut from the front pannel
is used inside the card.

The snowflake is a bigz die by Tim Holtz.
I cut the flake from light blue paper, added
some vintage brown ink on the edges and
added a little glitter glue on the snowflake.

Thank you for looking
and hope to see you back tomorrow.

Have a latte great day!

Penguin for the Holidays

Are you already planning your cards for the Holidays?
I have started to make some, so I am not in a rush at the
end of the month. I fou d this wonderful snowflake die
and was thinking how this could be a background for
many (even different kinds) of holiday cards. So here is
the first of more to follow soon!

So I started to cut out the snowflakes and backed it up with
a piece of light blue cardstock. In the middle of each
snowflake I hadded a holographic silver sticker.

The penguin is from the Penguin Pals by Michael Strong.
Stamped with versamark on black paper and embossed with
white embossing powder, then cut out by hand.
The hat is from an old Stampin'Up set and stamped in red,
cut out by hand and added with foam tape.

Tghe sentiment is from one of my Club Scrap sets.
This one is called Aspen (2013).

Thank you for looking and have a creative day!

Club Scrap Old & New

As the Holidays just tumbled from one into the other
I am trying to scrap last year first, before starting on
my page for the New Year.

So here is my page about Hanukkah. I used some old scraps I still
have of the Club Scrap Hanukkah kit from 2006.
The white base is from the Cyprus kit.

Here you see some of the stamps that came with this hanukkah kit.
The sentiment stamped in blue and the candle holder stamped in
versamark and  embossed in silver. The candle lights are little
sticky gemstones.

The dreidel is stamped on stampboard with black ink
and in the background you see adecoration from a wooden
stamp from Ivory Elegance. Then colored with blue
by  blending tool.

This silver sentiment on top was hard to
photograph. It was part of a 12x12 inch page, but
still saved for future use, which is now.

And now to something new: the kit for January 2017
is called Color me Happy and while waiting for the
box of papers and stamps to arrive, I played a little
with the digital kit (see here for only $4,95)

I made a combination of using the stamps from Shades of Winter
(December) and sentiment and background pape from this
new fabulous kit.

The snowflakes and white parts are embossed.
The metal  silver star embelliment also came from the
Shades of Winter kit and the ribbon is from the Cyprus kit.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Club Scrap Blog Hop tomorrow

Just want to remind you that tomorrow we
have our montly Club Scrap blog hop tomorrow.
The name of the kit is
Shades of Winter,
This is a really beautiful kit
and I love the stamps that came with it.
Here a card that was inspired
while I was walking this morning.

I came across these braches with the
purple berries and so when I came home
I made this card:

Started out with the branch. I used my misty for the
stamping and markers for the color. This way you
can stamp again and again on the same spot until
you are satisfied with the color.

The silver star also came with the kit
and i added it with a tiny brad. On top of the brad
I added a gemstone.

Thanks for looking and hope you
come again tomorrow to see all the
different projects I came up with.

Thanks for looking and
have a creative day!

Happy Winter

As today is the first day of winter,
I had to make this card with my new papers
and stamps from Club Scrap.
This month the kit is called
Shades of Winter.

I have seen this kind of snowman around
and never tried it. It is very easy to do
after cutting 3 different size of circles.
The hat is a bunch from SU! and the face is
made with an old stamp from SU!

I love the snowflake stickers that kame with the
Shades of Winter kit and you will see more
of those when you stop by on out
monthly blog hop after the Holidays.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 4

Good Morning from The Netherlands!
I am enjoying this Blog Hop a lot.
So many beautiful creations.
Please hop over to the
and see all the cards that are linked to the blog.

For todays card I used the owl image, that came ase a freebie from
and you can also download it here. Thanks again,it is a cutie!
Then I used the sentiments that came as a freebie from
Verve stamps, those you find here.
You might notice not all the words are there. True!
I made a combination of the Autumn freebie and this
winter freebie.

The owl image is colored with markers.
For the cup, I cut away a little of the cup, so
you see the design paper through and makes it
matching te background.

Not everything is a freebie! I bought some of the
beautiful ribbons from Diane Larson. They have such
beautiful warm colors and I love the way they crincle.

I addapted the text a little so they
matched together.

Thanks for looking.
More fun tomorrow!
