CAARDvarks Challenge

At the Caardvark blog the challenge is to make a money or giftcard holder.

So I searched around the internet and found this neat

cardholder on "It's a stamp thing" blog.

I think it is a wonderful card for a gift card.

I made one for Christmas and

one for Chanukkah.

What do you need to make this?

a piece of card 4"x 8" and score at 4""

this is the box of the present

and another piece of 3"x 4 1/4" and score at 1,5

this is the lid of the present.

For the inside you need a piece of cardstock

4"x 2 3/4" and a punch to make the slits for the card.

Of course you can decorate the card to your liking

with scrap paper.

Inside the card I used some velcro dots

as a closure for the card.

The bow of the card is made with 2 sizes of oval punches.

First you punch with the smallest oval and than with the larger one.

3 of each color make a great bow glued to the back of the card

and coverd with one of the little oval left over scraps.

Fot the Christmas giftcard holder I used a stamp by Just Rite and colored it with copic markers.

Tha Chanukkah gift card holder is made with paper and stamps from Club Scrap.

Caardvark wedding card Challenge 2

Ben helemaal in de stemming voor trouwkaarten! Mijn neefje trouwt vandaag, dus dan moet je wel met een mooi kaartje voor de dag komen! Zie voor instruktie van de bloemen de vorige kaart. Daar is een link naar het lesje hoe je ze moet maken. Tevens is dit ook voor de uitdaging op het blog van Caardvarks. Het papier en de stempels zijn van Pure en Simple van Club Scrap.I am in the mood for wedding cards. My nephew is getting married today, so I need a beautiful card. If you go to my previous post, you will find a link as to how to make these flowers. The card is also for the challenge of the Caardvarks Blog. Paper and stamps are Pure and Simple from Club Scrap.

Koe/Cow

Ik vind het altijd heerlijk als ik twee uitdagingen kan combineren. Zo ook nu weer. Ik heb de schets van Mary Jo gebruikt om aan de boederij uitdaging bij de Caardvarks mee te doen.
Hier zie je het resultaat. Een Penny Black koe met eigen verzonnen tekst. I love it when I can combine two challenges. Here I used Mary Jo's sketch for the fam challenge at the Caardvarks. This is the result. Cow is from Penny Plack and text I made up myself.

Golf kaart/ Scalopped card

Nu ik weer thuis ben, kan ik lekker weer meedoen aan uitdagingen bij anderen. Vandaag gekozen voor de uitdaging van Caardvarks. Het moet een golfjes kaart worden en deze is het geworden. Vogeltje van een swap, achtergrondswirl van Stampinback, happy van Stampin'Up!
evenals de stippeltjes en friends is van een clear setje van doodlebug.

Now that I am home I can enter the challenges again. This time I chose the Caardvarks one. It had to be a scalloped card. Here is my entry with a bird from a swap I was in, happy from Stampin'Up! as well as the dots, the swirl background is from Stampinback and friends is from a clear set from doodlebug.

Caardvarks 1-2-3 Challenge

Maak met 1 embellishment, 2 gedecoreerde papieren en 3 bloemen een kaart. Ja, dat is een leuke uitdaging bij de Caardvarks. Goed om weer wat uit mijn afvalmandje te plukken!! Make a card with 1 embellishment, 2 decorated papers and 3 flowers. I like this Challenge from Caardvarks.

Afvalmandje/ Junk Bowl

Zo, heel even Harry Potter neergelegd en op de pc gekeken. Deze uitdaging van de Caardvarks (alhoewel te laat) mag maar een half uurtje duren, precies goed dus! Wat kun je maken uit je afvalmandje??? Nou ik heb er altijd eentje op tafel staan met kaarten die klaar zijn en een mandje met papiertjes en dingen die zo leuk zijn dat ik er nog wat mee wil doen. Wekker op een half uur: nou de meeste tijd ben je iets aan het zoeken!! Maar het is gelukt. Een vogeltjes-kaart!
Stempeltjes van Hero Arts,restje papiertje van Scenic Route, restje Club scrap and die tabjes en verfstrip lagen ook zo klaar voor het gebruik. Zakje bloemetjes en draadje en glittertjes (oogjes) lag er ook in. Dus eigenlijk alleen de inkt, niettang, hoek -en cirkel pons en plakband erbij gepakt! De lettertjes had ik eens gescanned en verkleind van een Club Scrapblad (Fizz) en nu met een cirkelpons er uitgehaald.
Well, I just put down Harry and looked around on my computer. Found this Caardvarks Challenge that only may take 30 minutes. That's ok for me! I know I am too late, but is fun to do anyway. What can you make from a junk bowl? I always have two baskets on my table: one for finished cards and one with pieces of junk I still want to use. So I put the alarmclock on half an hour and noticed i spend most of the time searching for stuff, but I made it! A birdie-card! Stamps are from Hero Arts, scrappaper from Scenic Route and Club Scrap. The tabs and the paintstrip where there ready to use. A little bag of flowers, some string and the tiny jewels (in the birds eyes) where also there. I just had to get out my punches, ink, double sided tape and my stapler. The letters I had scanned and resized from a Club Scrappaper (Fizz) and punched out with a circle punch.

10-Day 10K ~ CLUB SCRAP ATTACK!

Jammer!!! Dit is de laatste dag bij de Caarvarks, nu moet ik morgen weer wat anders verzinnen om te doen........
OK, hier is mijn kaartje. Alles is van Club Scrap (verschillende dozen natuurlijk) behalve het vilt. En vind jij die uiltjes ook zo leuk??? Ik heb hier een patroontje voor je.

10-Day 10K ~ 8 IS ENOUGH

De vogeltjes blijven boeien, dus maar weer gebruikt voor vandaag voor de Caardvarks. Kaartpapier van Club Scrap evenals de twee oranje cirkels. Vogelstempel is van Autumn Leaves (doodle birds) en de boom is van Club Scrap.
Twee lintjes, waarvan eentje met de vogeltjes van de stempel (dit heb ik met de printer gedaan!) Papier is van Basic Grey ( bloemetjes is oh baby girl en dat bruinige is van fruitcake). Birds are fascinating, so I used them again for this day at the Caardvarks. Cardstock is from Club Scrap as well as the two circles. Birdstamps are from Aurumn Leaves (doodle bird) and the tree is from Club Scrap. Two ribbons, purple and white. The birds I printed on it with my printer and added some butterscotch ink. Paper is from Basic Grey (flowers from oh baby girl and the brownish is from fruitcake).

10-Day 10K ~4 square

Kaart met 4 vierkanten. Alles mag! Nou het is een kattenkaart geworden. Het papier met de poten is van Around the block en de kattenstempel is van Magenta en de tekst van Stampin up! Card with 4 squares. Anything goes. So I made this cat card. Paper with paw is from Around the block, catstamp is from Magenta en the text stamp is from Stampin'Up!

10-DAY 10K ~TRI THIS!

Opdracht 3 van de Caardvarks is een trifold kaart. Dus een kaart die in drieen gevouwen is.
Hier het resultaat. Papier van Club Scrap Road trip evenals een aantal van de UM stempels. De New York stempels is van PSX en de benen met tekst zijn van paperbagstudio's en het vliegtuigje in de ultra thick embossingpoeder is van All Night Media.
Je kunt aan deze kaart wel zien, dat ik zin heb om naar Amerika te gaan.

Day three of the Caardvarks challenge: make a trifold card. Here is the result. All papers are from Club Scrap'Road Trip and so are some of the unmounted stamps. The New York stamp is from PSX and the legs with tekst are from Paperbagstudios. The airplane in the ultra thick embossing powder is from All Night Media.

You can see from this card that I can hardly wait to come to the States.

Caardvarks 10-Day 10K~UNO

Bij de Caardvarks hebben ze nu 10 dagen een speciale challenge, elke dag wat anders en hier is de eerste. Ik heb hem ook maar gelijk voor de Wednesday stampers gemaakt. Misschien krijg ik nog wel een idee, maar ja je kan niet alles tegelijk!!
Behalve knoop, lint en het zwarte papier is alles van Club Scrap. Stempel op zwart met wit geembossed en met gelpen een kleurtje gegeven. Verder een hoop Faux Stitching, ook op de knoop (met stift).
At the Caardvarks blog they have a special 10 day challenge, every day something different and here is my first card. It has a kind of the same theme for the Wednesdaystampers, so I might as well combine the two. I used mosltly Club Scrap materials (stamp, paper), except for the button, the ribbon and the shiny black paper. I stamped the tulips with versamark and embossed with white. Colored with gelpens and did a lot of Faux stitching (also on the button, with a felt pen).

Cirkels/ Circles

Voor de Caarvarks uitdaging is deze kaart. Het moest iets met cirkels zijn. Nou, dat lijkt me wel gelukt. De stempels can Stampinback en Blonde Moments zijn er uitermate geschikt voor. Here is my contribution for the Caardvarks. This time it should be about circles. Well I think I got it. With my stamps from Stampinback and Blonde Moments it is easy.

Getallen/Numbers

Voor een snelle caardvarks challenge heb ik hier 2 verjaardagskaarten.

Ik maak graag kaarten met de leeftijd van mijn dochters, ieder jaar. Deze zijn van dit jaar.

De gewone challenge moet ik nog doen. Heb het een beetje druk, maar het komt niog wel op tijd!!

For a fast caardvarks challenge I show you her two birthdaycards. I love to make them cards with their age on it. These are this years cards. The main challenge I still have to make, kind of busy, but it will get done!!

Bling bling uitdaging/ Bling bling challenge

Vandaag is er weer een nieuwe uitdaging bij Caardvarks: Bling bling. Deze kaart is gemaakt met Club Scrappapier en stempels van mei 2005: Painted Desert. Alleen de lintjes en de verjaardagswens (Fizz) horen daar niet bij. Ik heb hier gestempeld met Rangers distress ink in de kleuren shabby shutters (groen), fired brick (rood) en black soot (zwart).
In het midden van de bloem zijn glimmertjes geplakt met glossy accent en die heb ik ook over de glaadjes en de rand van de bloem gedaan. Dit soort effecten zie je in het echt altijd beter!
Today you find a new challenge at Caardvards: Bling bling. This card is made with papers and stamps from Club Scrap May 2005: Painted Desert, exept for the ribbons and the birthday wish (Fizz). I used the distress stamping pads from Rangers: shabby shutters (green), fired brick (red) and black soot (black) to stamp with and around the edges. In the middle of the flower I glued som gems with glossy accent, which I also applied on the leaves and around the flower. Of course you can see those accents much better when you see the card for real!
